“For the closing night of Return to the Source at the Interdimensional Transmissions presents The Bunker party, we have a night of unique pairings, back to back sets from people who knew each other mostly, but usually don't play together. After a full weekend of non stop great music, what better than the drama of the unknown combinations to keep you fully engaged, with deeply curated pairings and flows for each room. On May 27, Mike Servito x @Jeffrey Sfire scheduled from 1am until 3am. Mike Servito always majestically closes out No Way Back, but what would this combination bring? Sfire brought the heat, and their styles melded in a slightly pitched down form, music from all eras appeared. To me, it was a form of sonic bliss. I went and asked the Danny from Bing (who does the sound and built the speakers for the Garden Stage) if he minded if we went later, he was all for it. So were Servito and Sfire, and it just kept getting better and better. The crowd was totally locked in, the feeling was ecstatic, it was truly a beautiful moment. A magical closing set that naturally extended from two hours to 5 hours of pure heat from two DJs whose whole life is this music and this culture — who could ask for more?” — BMG Catch Servito and Sfire playing an extended set to close out No Way Back NYC presented by The Bunker at the Chocolate Factory as a day party on Sunday November 12: https://ra.co/events/1983236
THE DEEP CONTROL presents ... Marsha (Greece) “You can do more than you think you can”. Marsha is an electronic music DJ based in Athens, Greece. She brings storytelling through music and magic. She believes that human beings need music, stories and magic in the same way that plants need sun and rain. She loved music from a very early age. It was her father who inspired and introduced her to it. "I remember spending Saturday mornings with my father in vinyl shops when I was a little kid. I've been fortunate enough to have grown up listening to quality disco, soul & rock. Music is a passion that was nurtured since my childhood" she says. She studied Business Studies and Marketing and worked as a Marketer but her passion for music prompted her to quit her plum job and pursue her love for music. Her drive and ambition lead her to score quickly her first gig at a club in Athens where she was offered a residency straight away. Since then she has performed in different well-known venues along with Timo Maas, Bedouin, Behrouz, Agoria, Rampue, YokoO, Nico Stojan, Viken Arman, Mira, Mimi Love, Armen Miran, Stavroz, Oceanvs Orientalis, Lum, Kerala Dust, Kora, Kate Simko, Magda, Kalipo, Mike Servito, Gardens of God etc. She is an artist with a delicate taste and a unique sound who has found her own place in the world of deep electronic music. She is the founder of Deep House Athens channel and, being a true Yoga lover, she is also co-founder of Music & Yoga Project. She is running her own project called "Marsha Invites”, a series of events where Marsha invites favourite DJ's to share with her stories and special musical moments. She is also a resident DJ producer at Home 89.1 radio station. Tous les deux originaires de l'Illinois, les DJs new-yorkais Justin Cudmore et Mike Servito feront le closing de Bizarre, le festival inattendu pour communauté curieuse, dimanche 24 octobre au Pavillon Villette. Pour fêter ça, les deux amis nous ont offert un b2b house plein de filtres acides et de vocaux solaires, ainsi qu'un court échange avec Antoine Dabrowski pour faire le point sur la reprise à New York et sur l'importance du clubbing pour les communautés LGBTQI+.

An ode to Chicago and Detroit.
Faychee, aka Faith Harding, is new to the Bay Area, but not new to house music. She moved to Oakland in June 2018, and since then has been playing out regularly — most frequently for Palace, a fun, breezy celebration of dance music of all kinds originally launched by her long-time friend Gabe Ross. A longtime songwriter and musician, she’s also begun producing her own house music. On Saturday, Nov. 9, Faychee makes her second appearance for As You Like It, joining fellow locals Josh Cheon and Mossmoss to welcome the Midwestern legend Mike Servito to the basement rave cave of Monarch. She’s responsible for the latest edition in As You Like It’s podcast mix series, an hour-plus selection of tunes rooted in house music of all different kinds — with a couple detours into freestyle and electro.
After decades of a friendship birthed in Detroit and many gigs together, Magda and Mike Servito took their "Highkicks and Necksnaps" party on a North American tour this June. Their busy schedule took them to seven different cities in ten nights. This is a recording of them playing together on the final night of the tour at Good Room in Brooklyn.

MATTHEW FIT (New City Movement / Salt Lake City) Matthew Fit (@matthew-fit) remains inspired by his memories of I-94, the highway connecting Detroit and Chicago where he came of age at raves and warehouse parties surrounding Kalamazoo. Matthew's sets sew the past and future together with the energy only a dyed-in-the-wool Midwesterner can bring. Through his association with New City Movement and his work in the community, he has helped bring his new home of Salt Lake City closer to the house and techno sounds he holds dear. Matthew loves the outdoors, almost as much as playing alongside DJs like Jason Kendig, Exos, Mark Farina, Mike Servito, and Mari.te. An avid record collector, educator and mentor, Matthew Fit's passion for the scene and its sounds are unmatched. This mix presents a blend of just over one hour of driving techno and deep house selections from Matthew's collection. A lifelong musician and composer, NYC-based Auspex deals in dark, metallic sounds and dance floors driven to bedlam. He plays regularly in Brooklyn's underground scene, including Unter, Bound, Lost Soul Enterprises and Aphotic and he has recently launched his own event series entitled Dominion, dedicated to the darker side of techno with an open-minded sensibility. Techno is Gunnar Haslam’s starting point, but the New Yorker often strays way off grid once he gets started. Mostly that happens when in album mode, where he weaves weird melodies into beatless tracks that are laden with drones. When turning out 12”s for the likes of L.I.E.S., Delsin and Argot, he favours a chilly, slithering sound, and as Romans with Tin Man he cooks up elegantly mournful techno that sends you deep into your own mind. The former psychiatrist also plays live with Mike Servito and Justin Cudmore as Hot Mix, so someone who is always evolving and exploring new territory. It’s the same story on his mix for us, which wastes no time in dropping you straight into a bendy, supple techno groove that soon begins to change shape and sound. Along the course of 70 minutes, it becomes skeletal and stripped back, percussive and spaced out then hurried and funky. A pulsing drum line underpins everything while the real drama unfolds in a burrowing top line or mind melting acid squiggle up top. In condensing many different forms of techno into this one mix, Haslam masterfully showcases the breadth of his fascinating sound.
If you've been keeping tabs on some of San Francisco's newest (and hippest) queer parties, you've probably danced to Trevor Sigler's selections. He goes deep in the zone on this latest mix for As You Like It's podcast, delivering slinky tunes interspersed with rolling house grooves. On Friday, Dec. 1, he joins Maya Jane Coles, Mike Servito, and AYLI residents David Siska and Mike Gushansky for a full-club blowout at Public Works.

In anticipation of the No Way Back 10 Year Anniversary - New York edition on November 4, we asked our resident DJ Mike Servito to prepare a studio mix that summoned the spirit of NWB. He recorded this in one take at The Bunker HQ last week on a standard set up of 2xCDJ-2000, 2 Technics 1200 turntables, and a Rane MP2015 mixer. Like No Way Back itself, this mix is a celebration of the lost art of the late night Midwestern DJ. Our next installment comes from Jack Department co-founder John Barera. This mix is all class. Jetting seamlessly between lush, melodic electro, techno, and merciless acid, including Mike Servito and Justin Cudmore's new remix for Gunnar Haslam and Olin's fantastic release on Boundary Monument. Hot Mix is a DJ collective made up of Mike Servito, Gunnar Haslam, and Justin Cudmore. They've recently played two all night b2b2b sets at The Bunker, released a collaborative record on HNYTRX (Honey Soundsystem's imprint), and all three have upcoming releases on The Bunker NY. This podcast is an excerpt from their all night set in the Bad Room at The Bunker on November 5, 2016.
To commemorate the 50th official AYLI podcast, we're excited to share with you what might be the most in demand recording from the last five plus years: The Black Madonna B2B Mike Servito at AYLI's Roots 01.23.2016. Their performance closed out the night for the last four plus hours, well past sunrise. The chemistry between the two was obvious from the first record. Relive the night with us and take a listen. Quality.
We're excited and honored to release an exclusive podcast and interview by AYLI friend Mike Servito in preparation for AYLI presents Roots w/ The Black Madonna B2B Mike Servito (Extended Set). Quality.
In preparation for our upcoming party at Public Works featuring Function, Kangding Ray, Mike Servito, and Mossmoss B2B DJ CZ , Chris Zaldua AKA DJ CZ released an exclusive podcast.
The Bunker Podcast 100 is a collaboration between Derek Plaslaiko and Mike Servito, recorded live at The Bunker Limited at Trans Pecos on July 3, 2015, 11:59pm to 9:00am.
Recorded in The Panther Room at The Bunker and Wrecked's Gay Pride party on June 27, 2015. The room was opened by Mike Servito and closed by Aaron Clark Price of Honcho. Mike Servito had this to say about The Black Madonna's set: "I must say I have not seem someone command a room quite like that in some time. people losing their fucking minds! she served and beat us silly! she is inspiring us awwwwl!". to which she responded: " I have to say I think it was basically my favorite time I ever DJed and so much of it had to do with how great Mike Servito was and the state the room was in when he did his thing. It was just perfect." Yeah, it was basically one big love fest in the booth and on the floor. As TBM says: You're damn right we still believe!!!
We take a trip across the pond for our next podcast, because it comes from the celebrated New York based Detroit that is Mike Servito. Best known for his impressive closing sets, be they at Bunker, where he is resident, or at Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Servito is a passionate vinyl fiend and is said to spend most of his fees on buying more of the stuff. Only in the last year or so has he broken out of local circles in New York and Detroit, and that is purely off the back off his DJing ability because he is not a producer. The DJ sets he does, though, are uncompromising things that he painstakingly researches and puts together for often for a whole week before playing. The podcast he has served up for us is just as tight. It wastes no time in getting down to business and starts with plenty of unhinged acid techno. Of course, the mixing is slick and seamless, records are teased in an out with an expert hand and the beats range from tightly coiled and kinetic to more spaced out and trippy. It’s 90 minutes of expert DJ perfection and proves the Ghostly associate is one of the best there is.
This set was recorded live at The Bunker at Output on February 8, 2014. Mike Servito had the difficult task of closing out the night following stellar sets by Moritz Von Oswald, Legowelt, and Leisure Muffin. As usual, he rose to the occasion and played a stellar set that kept everyone dancing well past the usual 6am closing time.
This set was recorded live in May 2010 at No Way Back, the DEMF afterparty thrown by Interdimensional Transmissions and The Bunker. This is our second consecutive podcast from the No Way Back party, in anticipation of the Brooklyn version of the event on November 5. This also marks Servito's second podcast for The Bunker, a rare feat. We're pretty sure you'll understand why we picked this set almost immediately upon listening. Proper jacking classic house trax mixed immaculately.
Recorded live at The Bunker in Brooklyn on November 21, 2008. Mike Servito is a Detroit transplant to NYC who recently joined the Ghostly International DJ roster. Although we've heard him throw down countless amazing sets over the years, this Bunker set is especially impressive.
