After college but before becoming a world traveling comedian, Orlando Baxter needed an escape from corporate America. The path he thought was going to lead him to being a guidance counselor actually made him a math teacher...and a television tech teacher...and a volleyball coach...and an in school suspension teacher. We loved getting to sit down with Orlando and hear all about the route he took to make a difference to the kids in his neighborhood, and ultimately what led him to keep pushing to find himself where he is today. Episode 1 - After weeks of contemplating over who should be my first guest on my new podcast, I decided to do something very different and have my 8 year old niece Annaliese interview me as the first guest. At the time it sounded like a pretty good idea because I was drinking but as soon as we started recording and I heard the nervousness in her voice I knew that this was going to be a challenge. But it honestly wasn’t, she blossomed into a confident young interviewer right before my eyes and I could not have been any prouder. This episode is short, sweet, and funny just like Annaliese. And I hope you all like it as much as we enjoyed doing it.
