Cuireadh tús leis an scléip ansin ag meánlae. It is said to have been the biggest St. Patrick's Day event ever in the capital. Deirtear go raibh sé ar an ócáid Lá le Pádraig ba mhó riamh sa phríomhchathair. The presenter of the 'Late Late Show' television program Patrick Kielty was the leader of the parade. Ba é láithreoir chlár teilifíse an 'Late Late Show' Patrick Kielty a bhí ina cheann feadhna ar an bparáid. The parade, in which over 4,000 participated, was broadcast live on the RTÉ One television station. As the year comes to a close, the annual Google Year in Search results reveal the questions we turned to Google for answers for, the people who inspired us and the daily searches the country had in common. In a year where Ireland competed in two World Cups it's no surprise that the two top spots on the most searched sports list were the Rugby World Cup in pole position followed by the Women's Football World Cup. The nation's interest in the Rugby World Cup is also clear in the How to list as How to Watch the Rugby World Cup was one of the most searched questions people turned to Google for help with. The simultaneous release of blockbuster movies Oppenheimer and Barbie caught the world's attention, and in Ireland, Oppenheimer topped the most searched movies list with Barbie in second place. People also turned to Google to find out what the most searched movie is about as 'What is Oppenheimer about?' was one of the most popular 'What is' questions people asked Google this year. In a bumper box office year people also searched for Mission Impossible 7, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 and Cocaine Bear. The Top 10 Most Googled recipe list gives us a glimpse into what Ireland has been cooking this year. TikTok viral recipes took over the list with Viking Toast topping the list and Marry Me Chicken, Adobo and Smash Burgers all featuring in the Top Ten. 2023 was the year of the Pornstar Martini, not only was it the second most searched recipe but How to drink a Pornstar Martini was the fourth most popular question people asked Google this year. Google Search has long been the location people head to when in search of finding entertainment, in particular for help on what to watch on television. The Last of Us was the most searched TV programme of the year and other shows that got people searching were Welcome to Wrexham, the White Lotus and Kin. The world of Irish TV also featured on the Most Searched People list as both the current and former host of The Late Late Show appear on the list following the show's host change for only its fourth time in history. Ryan Tubridy is the fourth most searched person while Patrick Kielty is the seventh most searched person on the list. In a year where many Irish music legends sadly passed away it's no surprise that several featured on the Losses list including Sinead O'Connor, Shane McGowan and Christy Dignam. Ireland also searched for other notable losses from around the world, Matthew Perry, Tina Turner and Lisa Marie Presley all feature on the list. Turning to Google to ask questions is an everyday occurrence for most people and while How to claim rent tax credit was the most searched question of the year in Ireland, other important questions on the list included How to solve a Rubik's cube and How to use chopsticks. Have you ever got drunk with a Vicar in a Vicarage? Would you believe it, that's Dominic Byrne's weekend plans! It's the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast and this week it's been all lads-lads-lads as Pippa has been away on her jollies. Joining Chris in the studio was Derren Brown to talk about his West End show that he is not, in fact, performing in, and Matt Lucas, who reckoned Chris would have smashed the vicar in his new musical novel (it's not quite how it sounds). Chef Tom Kerridge called into the studio and, in classic Chris fashion, had his new recipe book pulled apart. I mean, a pie should have fully enclosed pastry sides, right? New host of The Late Late Show (the irish one, not James Corden's replacement) Patrick Kielty also came by the studio as well as everyone's favourite Eastenders actor turned gang fighter Ross Kemp. In amongst all of those guests, Chris found time to wage WAR on LBC's Nick Ferrari over false allegations of stolen Kedgeree. No presenters were harmed in this war, but we are still suffering from the stench… Anyway, this week we also had: Chris does magicDom finds a new favourite song in a supermarketUnheard bits from James' Birthday SurpriseEnjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio XWeekdays 6:30-10am
There has been a lot of talk in recent weeks about the standard of Late Late Show guests since the new season started. Expectations were high for the start of the 61st season of The Late Late Show, and new host Patrick Kielty delivered on some of them: the comedian delivered a funny monologue and generally seemed comfortable in his new role. But some of the programme's old problems remained. On today's In the News podcast, Irish Times writer, editor and podcaster Hugh Linehan reviews the first episode under new management of what is still RTE's flagship offering and a TV institution, looking at what went right, what went wrong - and how Mr Kielty can make the show his own. 2023 has been a year of wildfires, extreme weather, and record temperatures – is it all down to climate change? To answer that question we invited climate commentator John Gibbons back to the studio for a conversation that I think you're going to find very interesting ( and probably alarming). John Gibbons has been researching, campaigning and consistently appearing in the media about the climate crisis for over 20 years and even though it's often a thankless job, his passion and resolve are stronger than ever. This episode probably isn't typical of the series, its not exactly a barrel of laughs, but it's a topic I strongly believe needs to be out there more and John is one of the clearest and most passionate climate commentators in this country and is well worth paying attention to. COMEDY - We've managed to get access to Patrick Kielty's voicemails. He's going to be presenting his very first Late Late show this week, and so as you can imagine, his phone has been hopping… Produced by Patrick Haughey of AudioBrand

Os rud é gur cás sibhialta a bhí ann, gearradh píonós $5m ar Trump ach ní sheolfar go príosún é. Dúirt Carroll go raibh náire uirthi agus gur chaill sí a post mar gheall ar an éigniú agus gur spreag an feachtas #metoo í chun a scéal a insint. Bhí Trump i láthair ag imeacht de chuid CNN oíche Dé Céadaoin, inar mhaígh sé gurb iad cúrsaí polaitíochta ba chúis leis an triail, agus gur goideadh vótaí sa toghchán uachtaránachta in 2020. In ainneoin na bhfadhbanna dlí atá Trump, meastar go bhfuil a lán leantóirí aige i measc na vótálaithe, agus go bhfuil seans ann go mbainfidh sé an chéad toghchán eile in 2024. Is cosúil gurb é láithreoir teilifíse agus fear grinn Patrick Kielty rogha na coitiantachta don ról an láithreora ar The Late Late Show, an clár teilifíse is cáiliúla de chuid RTÉ. Tá Ryan Tubridy, a thosaigh ar an seó i 2009, chun éirí as ag deireadh na míosa seo, agus tá daoine mór le rá ar nós Claire Byrne agus Miriam O'Callaghan tar éis rá go poiblí nach nglacfaidh siadsan leis an phost. Cuireadh tús leis an chlár cainte sa bhliain 1962, agus bhí Gay Byrne ina óstach ón am sin go dtí 1999. Chaith Pat Kenny deich mbliana sa ról sular tháinig Tubridy isteach.
