The first edition of PHANTASYMIX in 2025 arrives courtesy of London's much-loved Ariane V, a DJ and radio host who represents a new vanguard of generous selectors with an audible appreciation for dance music with depth and character. Beginning with a three-year stint building her taste and record collection from behind the counter at Phonica Records, Ariane's knowledge and instincts for a great record have only deepened in the decade since. as exemplified not only by a tour schedule that has taken from London to Paris, Berlin and Barcelona, but weekly to Peckham, where her previous residency for Balaami FM saw her sharing the decks and the mic in conversation with DJs including Wallace, Colleen Cosmo Murphy, Mr. Ho and Moxie. For our 176th show we welcome Al Zanders, a multifaceted artist hailing from the vibrant music scene of London. His musical journey is punctuated by his renowned edits and stellar productions, making waves with iconic labels like Phonica Records and Roy Davis Jr's Undaground Therapy Muzik. While Al is now based in London, his heart remains in Sheffield, where he operates his beloved label, A-Z Records. Our resident Luther Vine is one of the most dedicated young artist's in London at the moment. Working at Phonica Records and his huge love for digging records has obviously paid off as the UK selector has a huge record collection spanning house, acid techno, bleepy electro and many more, all of which he brings to the club each weekend. So far he has supported the likes of Dj Rush, Omar-S, Etapp Kyle, Radio Slave, FJAAK, Kiasmos, Colin Benders, Pornceptual, Artwork, Pariah & many more. His sonic versatility has served him incredibly well throughout his residency which he showcases with this week's podcast.

This year we added a new resident to the Egg family in the form of Luther Vine. You might know Luther from behind the Phonica Records counter where he works full time and is an avid vinyl enthusiast and a particularly charismatic member of Phonica's close-knit team. Since Luther joined us earlier this year, he's shared his Egg billings with the likes of Colin Benders, Mariel Ito, Omar-S, Pariah & more, and has brought Phonica's in-house team to the club to soundtrack our Loft and Basement on a number of occasions. To mark the end of 2018 and take stock of Luther's trajectory so far with us, the vinyl connoisseur shares a 60-minute podcast which showcases his varied taste in house, techno, electro and everything in between.

Here is a familiar face for the London crew... Will Lister is slowly but steadily amassing a reputation as a bit of a production mogul with his jazzy, luxurious take on house which has been featured on the likes of Phonica Records, Joy In Repetition and most recently on a new split EP on ANMA Records. His sound sees him blend jazzy excursions with club focused production which sits somewhere between the intricate sounds emerging from Peckham at the present and the full scale orchestration of Floating Points. Packed with musicality he appears to be a rising talent and a man very much in demand. One to watch in the coming years. We invited him to contribute to our 'shine a light on' mix series and he has delivered in fine style. He will also be appearing at Farr Festival this summer so keep your eyes peeled.
