 Israel Fernández, considerado como el mejor cantaor flamenco de su generación, nos presenta, "Pura Sangre". Un álbum producido por su inseparable amigo y guitarrista Diego del Morao ya somos pareja artística y Pional (dj música electrónica) que hace los honores de presentarnos al "hijo predilecto de Castilla la Mancha". Se trata de su trabajo más personal, ha compuesto todos los cantes y en él habla de su manera de relacionarse con el mundo a través de cantes como " Me encuentro solo", "Seré Silencio" o "Despierta". Entre sus hitos, está el de ser el primer cantaor de flamenco clásico en trascender el género y ganar adeptos entre el público mainstream. Pero antes de llegar hasta aquí, Israel ya de joven llamaba la atención de aficionados como Julio Martí (Director artístico noches del Botánico). De su discografía y su evolución sobre los escenarios nos da buena cuenta nuestro compañero Teo Sánchez ( Duendeando - Radio 3). La bailaora Sara Baras se suma a este nómina de admiradores y le manda un flamenco-abrazo. Israel ya tiene la mirada puesta en el 26 de julio y el Teatro Real donde verá cumplido el sueño de un niño que ha visto el cante como una devoción. Entre sus múltiples y deslumbrantes colaboraciones figura una muy especial para él con Dellafuente a quien le ha hecho sentir parte de su familia. Cerramos con "Solea de mi Casa", sin duda, la composición más personal donde recoge las vivencias familiares de su infancia y los protagonistas son sus padres. Comenzamos en el centro neurálgico del flamenco Extremeño porque ya está en marcha el Ciclo Flamenco en la Plaza Alta que cumple 14 años desde que lo iniciara la Asociación de Arte Flamenco de Badajoz con el gran Ildefonso Castaño a la cabeza. El relevo en la organización lo cogió hace unos años la productora Actúa Ibérica que junto con el Ayuntamiento de Badajoz continúa ofreciendo una programación de calidad que les contamos en el programa. También escuchamos el nuevo trabajo del cantaor Israel Fernández considerado por muchos como el mejor cantaor flamenco de su generación. Lo titula "Pura Sangre" y vuelve a estar producido por Diego del Morao y Pional. Bajo el sello de Universal Music. The latest installment of my re-released seasonal mix series is Escapade, which was originally released as Summer Mix 2012. It was the second mix I ever made; created in Virtual DJ before I got my first controller Summer for me is all about enjoying the sunshine and hot weather with friends and some feel-good house and disco jams. I was heading out to Fire Island with some friends and I wanted a mix that we could listen to poolside during the day. The vibe here is very nu-disco/house in a tropical poolside paradise fantasyland, but also funky enough to dance to; serving up thick bouncy bass lines, sparkly arpeggios, island percussion, and dreamy fun pop vocals. ☀️

Sin prejuicios ni artificios de más, Dora (Madrid, 2004) irrumpió en el mundo de la música con la acústica ‘Call Me Back’ para después no parar de sorprender con cada uno de sus lanzamientos musicales sucesivos. Con el público y la crítica metidos en su bolsillo, el hype creado ante la publicación de su reciente primer EP, ‘Sin Prisa No Quiero Morir’, ha sido más que lógico. Singles previos como ‘Ojos de Serpiente’, ‘Hoy’, ‘Oxena’ o ‘Quiéreme (aunque no es tu estilo)’ han sido la constatación de que Dora pertenece a una generación en la que los géneros fluyen y se disuelven entre sí, creando atmósferas sonoras mucho más frescas e interesantes en las que han participado productores de la talla de Pional. Del bolero es capaz de evolucionar al UK garage, pasando por el filtro de la electrónica, de una manera tan natural y genuina que solo se puede explicar si se cuenta con un talento y un don de serie. J’ai enfin réussi à mettre en boite un projet de mix qui me tenait à coeur depuis un bon moment : celui de mélanger une sélection de tracks Acid, House, Techno de mon bac avec… de la musique contemporaine… Les dernières représentations du fabuleux Territoire des ombres, Ghostland, de Pierre Jodlowski au Théâtre d’Hautepierre, et la sortie de l’album m’ont mis le pied à l’étrier pour le finaliser. Voici donc un premier essai avec les dernières sorties sur le label des Percussions de Strasbourg : Burning Bright d’Hugues Dufourt, Ghostland, Drum-Machines d’eRikm, mais aussi Maraé de François-Bernard Mâche, avec des tracks de System B, Eduardo De la Calle, Josh Wink, Nicolas Cruz, Dj Deep, Polo & Pan, Talaboman, Pional… Initialement prévu d’être publié mardi 11 décembre 2018, dans les eaux de 20h, cette dernière fut totalement gâchée par les atrocités arrivées à #Strasbourg ce soir là… Je dédis ce mix avec des pensées particulières aux victimes, aux citoyens et à ma ville #strasbourg. Attention par contre, si vous n’êtes pas habitués, une petite recommandation d’écoute : soit très tard en soirée, arrosée de préférence, ou très tôt le matin, genre en after. Bonnes fêtes ! What single night out has been the most memorable for you? As a DJ? As an attendee? Playing on a boat going across the Thames in London stands out. Floating passed Parliament while playing house music. One of my first records I brought was Jeff Mills - Kat Moda EP, I had a bit of a 360 moment when hearing him play The Bells in Space Ibiza. He was playing live with a Roland 909 doing some cool fills. 3. What is one track that never gets old to you no matter how many times you play it? Hard to name one but I'll give you three that I have rediscovered again recently. Electroliners - Loose Caboose (Bassbin Twins Remix) Classic breaks track that still works well today. Electribe 101 - Talking With Myself Before Billy Ray Martin did loving arms, it also had a really cool Frankie Knuckles remix. Microthol - Heliosphere An obscure electro track that has so much emotion. It came on limited clear vinyl. 4. If you could produce a track with anyone right now who would it be? There's so many great artists out there some that come to mind are, Jamie XX, Four Tet, John Talobot, Pional, Justin Martin, Koze... The list could go on 5. What advice would you give to an aspiring DJ? Just keep plugging away, there will be ups and downs. Remember why you got into it from the beginning. For me it was theI music and bringing people from all walks of life together. 6. If you could choose any venue or location to perform at where would it be? The Do Lab stage at Coachella looks special also one the Dirtybird campouts would be on my list. 7. What animal best describes you? In the Chinese zodiac I'm a dog, that pretty much describes me. Loyal, loving, needs a run out in the park, a little slobbery, loves food! 8. Name one thing you do aside from music that keeps you sane. I like to people watch some days, letting the world go by while you sit and take it all in. 6.15.18

Barcelona's narrow back alleyways have become home to some of the most interesting talent in electronic music over the past ten years. This summer saw the release of Airaboi's debut EP titled "Endless Field". A blend of glimmering, sun kissed house, its clear to see that he has taken influence from those around him. The likes of Hivern Discs have become a staple element of European music culture. Following their launch many years ago we are now beginning to witness a new wave of artists who are hoping to follow in the footseps of the likes of John Talabot and Pional. Airaboi may well be the next destined for success.

John Talabot is the acclaimed Spanish DJ and producer who has brought a real sense of melody and occasion to house and techno. The Hivern Discs boss, as well as releasing a standout album in ƒIN, and fine collaborations with Axel Boman and Pional, is also an in-demand remixer celebrated for being able to create majestical grooves from originals by people like The xx and Shit Robot. He has also put together a stunning DJ Kicks mix and now he has been in the booth again, putting together a typically epic podcast for our on going series. Across the course of one and a half hours, the Barcelona based Talabot lays out his musical modus operandi in all its glory: serene house riddled with melody, dreamy pads and wavy tones that speak to the soul. With a rather blissed out and dreamy undercurrent, he slowly works through house old and new and keeps a strong, compelling groove present and correct at all times. Officially entitled "Post Summer Melodies" by Talabot, this mix is full of just that, and is sure to keep you warm long after the sun has gone.
