I've been putting this one here off a lot longer than I should've... Controversial and unpopular opinion or not, what I say here sticks for as long as I shall live. And this is all coming from someone who was a borderline Halloween 1978 purist, until I noticed that the series has been doing all types of weird shit all along. But for any fans or haters tuning in, buckle up for this one. Enjoy, people.
Well we forced ourselves to watch Rob Zombies "Halloween 2." One we've been dreading but since its halloween week....we figured might as well! Its a known fact we arent the biggest Zombie fans (aside from House of 1000 corpses and Devils rejects). But we hope you enjoy our review it has some good laughs! As usual please share, rate and leave a review if possible and have the best halloween you can this year! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/itcamefrom-thevideostore/support

The sequel to our pilot episode is a review of David Gordon Green's true sequel to John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic. This film is a return to form for the series featuring the triumphant return of Jamie Lee Curtis to once again face the Boogeyman. Our conversation traces the origin's of this project from Halloween 3D (The sequel to Rob Zombie's Halloween II), Dimension Film's promised "recalibration" of the series announced in 2015 (Which ended up with a script), to the franchise landing at Blumhouse Pictures, and finding its legs with the held of Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, and featuring the stellar music of John Carpenter.

Two years after Rob Zombie brought his reimagined remake of Halloween to the big screen, audiences weren't asking for a sequel but the profitability of the first warranted a second. Halloween II eschewed all rules and conventions of the series to bring a supernatural nightmarish vision of gratuitous profanity and Nihilism of the Myers family. Zombie's startling film made audiences feel as if they hadn't even seen a Halloween movie, making this one of the most despised installments of the franchise. Nearly a decade later, has viewers opinion changed on this possibly misinterpreted entry? On this episode, we have a little bit of the Halloween hangover as we discuss hot items such as girlfriends knowing where Fred Durst hid the new LImp Bizkit record, cramps, the Chicago Rockabilily scene, Rob Zombie's Halloween II aging horribly, Abercrombie and their hate for fat people, Kevin Spacey, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendez, and we introduce a new segment: Guess Their Nationality.
Well we're back right where we left off covering Halloween 6, Halloween H2O: Twenty Years Later, Resurrection, Rob Zombies Halloween, and Rob Zombie's Halloween II. Sadly, George Pastore had to leave early so we couldn't hear his love for Mr. Zombie, but we have fun anyway. Bonus included another Beardwatch, Mike accusing Ryan of having a fake dog, and some rankings of the movies along with some soundtrack discussions. Blood is thicker than water and burns hotter too. J. and Brian sift through the ashes of Rob Zombie's Halloween II.
With the release of the latest movie in the Halloween franchise, Rob Zombie's Halloween II, the hosts of Now Playing look into Michael Myers' family scrapbook, watching and reviewing all ten Halloween movies. Knights in White Satin, Sherri Moon Zombie in a white dress, and a white horse all populate Rob Zombie's stylistic but thematically confused sequel to his 2007 remake of Halloween. If, as Loomis says, "Bad taste is the petrol that fuels the American dream" then this movie is a dream come true. Listen to the hosts of Now Playing as we conclude our Halloween retrospective series and find out if a sequel of a remake really can hold a candle to the original.

After a series of sequels with widely varying quality, Michael Myers follows Leatherface to have an extreme makeover for the 21st Century audience. Directed by Rob Zombie this film is a hybrid of Zombie's aesthetic previously seen on screens in House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects, and John Carpenter's original vision. It's part prequel, part remake, and all Rob Zombie, with Malcom McDowell taking on the role of Loomis. But does the remake work, or should Busta Rhymes have returned and the old story continued? Listen to find out!
