⛸ "This summer, terror won't be taking a vacation" or so they say with Halloween H2O, which was oddly released at the beginning of August 1998, which marks this week as the film's 25th anniversary. Of course, we at The Cherry Picker like to celebrate Halloween 365 days of the year, so now is just as good a time as ever to revisit this nostalgic little darling. In this episode, we really deconstruct every aspect of Jamie Lee Curtis's initial triumphant return as Laurie Strode, where we talk about everything from the film's extremely flawed production, the 90s Scream influence, and why this is the arguably the best version of Laurie Strode. And as always, you should also stick around til the end so you can help us choose which character you think deserves to die the most.● ● ●▶️ Watch the Video Podcast☑️ Vote in the Cherry Picker● ● ●

I think we all know sequels are 100% better 100% of the time than the movies before them. Who can forget the groundbreaking cinematography of Nightmare on Elm Street 2, the pathos of LL Cool J in Halloween H2O, or the sheer talent of Tommy Wiseau in the long anticipated follow up to Samurai Cop, Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance? So it only made sense for Maddy and Corey to finally approach the Fright Night 2 and House 2 Legacies, because after all - - they're, um, I guess they're both great.

Just when you thought the 90’s couldn’t get any goofier, along stumbles awkward, ill-fitted, Michael Myers, 20 years older but still none the wiser. He's got murder on his mind and his long-lost fake dead sister Laurie Strode (now living out West) is his number one target. So join the FM3 for the October road trip to end all road trips: Michael Myers is going back to Cali and not even LL Cool J can stop how dumb this shit is gonna get! It's H20... the wettest installment in the franchise!

Halloween H2O Review
Dave and Brandon wrap up the spook season with this weak's review of Halloween (1978) and Halloween H2O (1998). Brandon confuses jobs with money, is an old testament fan, and has never had a dick (or maybe has too much). Dave earns brownie points, buys a house, and teases a surprise guest. In 1998 36% of US households had a cellphone. Prepare to get spooked out. #halloween #H2O #rackbased #steelman #nokia #oldtestament #jamieleecurtis #benjaminbutton #michaelmyers #spooky #keepstabbing #happyhalloween Skip to 25:11 to avoid the BS-ing. ***THIS PODCAST CONTAINS SPOILERS*** #naftcast #movies #remakes #fun #funny Give us a call: 908-509-1205 Hit us up at: naftcast@gmail.com Visit us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NobodyAskedForThisPodcast/ Follow us on Twitter: @naftcast See that we don't know how to operate instagram: @naftcast

Masks on, listeners! This October, we’re celebrating Halloween by celebrating HALLOWEEN — the iconic horror film that unintentionally concocted the formula for an entire genre. John Carpenter’s 1978 chiller was made on a shoestring budget and went on to become the most profitable independent film ever made. It also launched horror’s most enduring villain, the tight-lipped but heavy-breathing Michael Myers, and the career of Jamie Lee Curtis, crowned the genre’s official Scream Queen. Curtis returned to her blood-spattered roots in 1998’s HALLOWEEN H2O, co-starring Josh Hartnett, LL Cool J, and Michelle Williams, in the 90s slasher revival spawned by Scream. Now, in 2018, she once again portrays Laurie Strode, the “Final Girl” who made her famous, in David Gordon Green’s new spin on this cinematic classic. The podcast welcomes wife-and-husband duo Chelsea and Dan to discuss all matters of splatter, then looks back at the original Halloween in observance of its 40th anniversary. After countless knock-offs and a string of subpar sequels, is Halloween still worth hallowing? Or does its violence against nubile babysitters come off as much less enlightened four decades later? And is Halloween H2O still the franchise’s only decent sequel? Come for the Carpenter, and stay for the Cool J, as we cower in the closet all over again! When We Were Young is a podcast devoted to the most beloved pop culture of our formative years (roughly 1980-2000). Join us for a look back to the past with a critical eye on how these movies, songs, TV shows and more hold up now.
