Wendy Maybury grew up all over the US as a military brat which means- she learned to make friends fast because in two weeks, she was probably moving. Her report card always said "She talks too much" Someone should have figured out I need to be a comedian. She signed with Stand Up Records and her first album "She's Not from Around Here" will be released on June 26 2020. Wendy is also the producer of "Day Drinking with Mom" a show that offers comedy, sympathy and some drinks to help Moms relax and enjoy the roller coaster of parenting What was the biggest turning point in your life? Losing 160 pounds and having a skinny girl rumspringa and making a baby. Imagine you woke up tomorrow and you had to start all over what would you do different? I would have done comedy right away--- although maybe all the crazy crap that happened to me made me do comedy? Also I probably shouldn't do anything that would make me not have my kid-- he's the best. Grab yourself a drink, start a tab with us because the much awaited drinking games series is finally here! We kick off this epic series with 2 of the funniest people I've met on social media - Sara and Sterling Buckley from Not The Worst Marriage Podcast. Sara was on the show before on episode 40, "She's Not the Worst Mom", which is the most downloaded episode on the podcast to date. Sarah came back and brought along sterling for an epic conversation with drinks flowing and hilarious questions being answered. We got really personal (like really personal) and got to know all sorts of things about each other. From learning about who threw up on who, the not so smart drinking choices made in the past, to "self" care (we mean masturbation really) and porn habits, we got to know each other a bit too much. Most importantly we got a great laugh and you will to! So grab a drink and play with us! But please drink responsibly and follow the drinking age limits in your respective states and countries. Ps. Our drinks of choice were champagne, red wine, and gin. Check out Sara and Sterling over at www.nottheworstmarriage.com and follow them on their social media channels: @nottheworstmarriage @sterbuck @nottheworstmoms For more from Mom Like That Podcast, check out our website, www.momlikethat.ca

This week on the podcast I am going solo. I dive into some commonly asked questions that I have received many times about marriages, how to make things work, why I decide to share what I share about my marriage and having problems and over coming problems in a marriage. I give some examples from my life and talk about why it's important to vocalize this (but not air out your dirty laundry) and why everyone going through challenges should know this is normal. This particular topic was also an extension from a topic covered in "She's Not the Worst Mom" episode briefly and by popular demand was discussed in more detail this week. I also answer a common question I get a lot - why I started this podcast - which is also intertwined for me with the marriage topic. July is my birthday month and the month last year I decided to start this podcast so aligned with that, I share some big announcements about the podcast. I share some fun new things that are coming your way in August and some big changes for my one year podcasting anniversary, which will be in October. I also talk about why YOU should make a big deal out of your birthdays. Lastly, in honor of my birthday month, I have decided to donate funds to the Sick Kids Foundation. For each download I get this month, 10 cents (or more) will go to Sick Kids Foundation per download. Now is not the time to start a new diet, or "get back on track"—neither is tomorrow, nor the day after that. It won't work. But we have something else for you, that just might save your sanity. Introducing: RD Real Talk's first series, on Intuitive Eating. Evelyn Tribole, MS RD is the co-author of the book Intuitive Eating: A Revolutionary Program That Works. It is NOT a diet; it is not an eating plan; it is not a set of nutrition rules. And it is not simply eating when you're hungry, and stopping when you're full. Evelyn helps me kick off a 10-episode series on Intuitive Eating (IE), in which I cover each of the 10 principles with fellow dietitians and therapists. She takes us back to 1995, when the book was first published, and how she and her co-author, Elyse Resch, finally decided enough was enough. No more putting clients on diets, no more weight loss plans, no more pretending that either of these things "work" for people. They questioned and challenged traditional dietetic practices, found the research to support their paradigm, and put it out to the world. She's NOT into this whole "clean eating" movement, wonders when taking pride in the way we eat became important to our identities (a la Orthorexia), and indulges a burning question I had about her Olympic Trials Marathon run (

Episode 14 - "She's Not a Find-Outer. She's a Terminator." Our dear friend Erik very much regrets joining us for his third Donut because the longer we dig, the bigger the plot holes get in TTSCC. Despite wardrobe problems for teens on the lam, poor robot romance game, fake-out in media res, and time travel never making sense we're kind of into it. How about ya'll?
The Blackout episode. Guys invite Kyle "The Red" to join the show and share some crazy stories about what happens when you get blackout drunk! Also the NEW segment called "The Vent."
