#38 - Surviving a Tsunami with Francois de Neuville

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 13, 2021 82:28

In this episode we talk to the Francois de Neuville all about his life story and how it all led to a to him having the skills and awareness to survive a tsunami in Indonesia and in the process also save the life of a young Indonesian girl.Francois Bio I always had big dreams and an unshakable determination to achieve them. As a kid, I was constantly craving for action and pushing my limits. When I was 17, I decided to join the army with the objective to join a special unit. It was challenging but 7 years later, I became a platoon leader in the commando paratroopers. Reinforcing my desire for challenges, I have been trained to always aim high, perform at my best and to make quick decisions with one motto : “never surrender”. I was living a good life and I was doing well emotionally, physically and financially but deep inside I could hear this voice telling me that there was more out there.“I could hear this voice telling me that there was more out there.”I followed this burning desire to discover the world and set for a new challenge. I embarked on a journey of self discovery and actualisation trying to find the answer to who I am? Why am I here for? What do I really want? I have been looking for answers while pushing myself physically and mentally from the deep jungle of Papua to the highest peaks of the Himalaya and even the plains of Africa. I was trying to discover my passions, working as a project manager, survival training instructor, first-aid instructor, communication manager, general consultant and even volunteering in humanitarian project in remote areas.“From the deep jungle of Papua to the highest peaks of the Himalaya and even the plains of Africa.”I was looking for the answer outside to the day I realized I had to dig inside. A near death experience in a double natural disaster changed my life forever. I was still alive amongst thousand of people who violently perished. It was a traumatic experience, but the start of a new life. I found my why: to live every single day of my life to the fullest and inspire others to do the same. “To live every single day of my life to the fullest and inspire people to do the same.” The world needs people who want to make a difference, who are ready to do what it takes to bring their life to the next level and increase the value of their impact. As a high-performance coach, I am on a mission to help others reach their full potential, live their very best life and bring their unique gift out to the world.Francois LinksWebsiteFacebookInstagramOur Courses  WILDFIT CoachingCoachingRecovering from Ground Zero CourseEssential 8 Finding Your Why

Humans, as a species have a limited amount of emotions, but the complexity about how they are seeded in our bodies, how they are expressed, and how we deal or don’t deal with them depends on many variations. Our environment, our upbringing, even our past life existence, how we are perceived in the world, and how we perceive the world. Everything has a role to play in our evolution. That’s why I do what I do. I love to help others unravel their patterns and behaviours. To explore themselves with a curious eye to ultimately find freedom in their minds and bodies.I do this in many ways, but mostly by simply being with you, and enabling you to go through your unique process to self understanding. It can be painful, it can be joyful. But ultimately it’s a path worth taking more than any other in this world right now. It’s a gift to yourself. The exploration is supported through my education, but also life experience which has been influenced strongly by some of the best mentors in the world, and my own fascination with the human psyche. If possible, I love to walk in nature with you. To connect to something bigger than us. To allow the world to guide us. If walking isn’t an option, online can enable a space for new creation and freedom of expression too.As Founder of Soulhub, my vision is to help others understand themselves better, because from this place, the world will already be a better world. There are 3 key ways to work with me:1 – Deep Dive2 – Your regular walking therapy (Soulwalking Therapy) or3 – Leadership/team offsite exploration Firstly, a bit more about ME.I’v

I grew up on a 620-hectare farm about 10 minutes outside the small town of Murgon which is about 240km north west of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia . I left high school in Year 11 to start a hairdressing apprenticeship. In 1988, I transferred my apprenticeship to a Brisbane salon, got married at 19 and lived in the city suburbs for the next seven years. My enduring love for the country and animals led my family to purchase a 16 hectare property in Samford, about 30 minutes from Brisbane, where we have lived for the past 19 years. On the property, I breed Belted Galloway Cattle and Suffolk Sheep. I also have a camel, donkey, goat, alpaca, chooks, ducks, geese, swans, pheasants, three dogs and a cat!In 1993, about six weeks after having my first child, Sam, his father Steven developed Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 22. Even though two of my uncles on my father's side had Type 1 Diabetes, I didn't really understand much about the disease. At the time of Steven's diagnosis, we inquired about the odds of Sam getting Type 1 and the doctors explained that it was only about a five per cent chance.Steve and I went on to have another two children – Billy born in 1994 and Sunita born in 1996. When Sunita was six-months-old, I developed Graves Disease (overactive thyroid) which is also an auto-immune disease like diabetes, which I treat with tablets which keeps my levels under control. We often wondered whether the children had a risk of getting either one of the diseases but were still told by the specialists that they had only about a five per cent chanceElissa's / Diabete-Ezy's LinksWebsite FacebookInstagram TwitterPinterestBook Mentioned in the Podcast Grain Brain: The Surprising Truth about Wheat, Carbs, and Sugar - Your Brain's Silent Killers Our Courses Recovering from Ground Zero CourseEssential 8 Finding Your Why
