Moody is a French DJ who founded Lunacy in November 2014, an organization that runs parties which brought his favorite artists to his hometown, Nantes. Orogeno is a Portugese DJ and producer who is bringing an innovating touch to the techno scene. In 2016 he released the Descolamos EP on Propellant Music with 2 original tracks. The moment I heard the EP I had to use the tracks in my sets as well. The EP also features remixes from Echologist and Relapso. For this episode Orogeno made an exclusive mix with a selection of his favourite new tracks of the moment. Anyway, such a long set has been far ago for me. But that's exactly what I love most of all! And so it was a fantastic pleasure for me to play until just before the end of the evening. Surrounded by and in the midst of very great friends, to make music for them, just was so beautiful. How they were with me and with me in the music, how they followed me into it and went on that journey together with me... above all, that they let me do this and gave me the place for this is a really special honor to me! In addition, I had worked nicely with manual work on the record players using timecode vinyl; the possibility to touch music genuinely creates a vast amount of joy. All this energy together made this evening indescribably beautiful. Thank you, Stan! Now, splitted into two parts, this is the recording of the complete set. I would love to share it with you... Umgeben und inmitten von ganz tollen Freunden, für sie musizieren zu dürfen, war auf den Punkt gebracht wunderschön. For the 35th edition of the Meet the Locals podcast we've got a solid techno mix from DC local Daasnomem. "This set incorporates mostly techno tracks and is an accurate representation of what my taste in music is these days. Not too heavy, not too easy is just how I like it. Using my new setup which includes a Xone 42 and two Xone K2's, I have tried to mix tracks of different moods and energies, having them intermingle with each other and dissolving into one another. After moving to DC from Karachi, Pakistan, I have been very fortunate to see many artists in DC and at Movement Detroit that I look up to and respect including; Sebastian Mullaert, Seth Troxler, Pan Pot, Tale of Us, DVS1, Adriatique, Joseph Capriati, Matador, Maceo Plex, Nina Kraviz, Tin Man, Art Department, Mano Le Tough, Len Faki and Adam Beyer.
