It's time for a new podcast and we bring you a powerful mix from one of the hottest new talents of Portugal, Relapso ! Relapso is a Portugese Techno artist and the owner of Relapso Records. His first experience with turntable in 2008 and thereafter concentrated more in the electronic music and started to produce in 2009. After his first steps into Techno genre with some releases as his prior project “Delko”, he decided to implement a new face and was born Relapso in 2013 with his first release on Relapso Records. He started to play in Portugal in 2009 in clubs such as: Faktory Club, Hard Club, Inabar, Via Latina, Opart, etc. Also played in the famous Stattbad Club in Berlin. Since 2013 with Relapso Records he already had many interactions with many talent artists around the World like, Mike Parker, Mark Morris, Brendon Moeller, Echologist, Samuli Kemppi, IORI, Go Hiyama, Xhin, Positive Centre and others. In 2015 at April came out his first Album in his own label where show the guideline in his music and new way in Techno genre. These days Relapso continues to develop and is constantly evolving with his production. It's March, spring is coming and for our 37th Podcast we have one of the most promising djs and producers in the boiling Parisian scene, Hemka. Her skills behind the decks got her sharing the stage with figures of the international Techno circuit like Surgeon, D. Carbone, Jeroen Search or Sleeparchive to name a few. Hemka impresses always with the quality of her selection with a huge focus on the 90’s sonorities while keeping an eye on modern textures. Her Techno is fast-paced, industrial and a bit psychedelic, while the emotional element is ever-present. This applies also to her own material where the sound of synthesizers is a key component. After several releases and remixes on Off White, Concepto Hipnotico and Amazone rec to name a few, her talent got noticed by Rebekah who offers her a space on her famous Decoy imprint. That was followed by a solid Sci-fi oriented EP on Labrynth and Green Fetish. 2017 looks pretty intense for this tireless producer as she did her Tresor and Rex club premiere in february. Here it is our 19th podcast with Mark Morris ! Mark is in the music game for several years and has been releasing such a bunch of quality Techno tracks. Everything started back in 2007 with a very first release and that never stopped till now with great labels crossed on his path such as M_Rec, CLR , DROID , Kombination research , Naked Lunch or more recently Starkstrom Schallplatten. But these last years and even more in 2013, Mark mainly focused on his own imprint, Ketra Records. He created the label back in 2009 and he’s now releasing most of his music on it. He has just released what we can call a huge album containing 33 tracks. Seems to be a lot even too much but every track is great and all of them together get to make it a very interesting cutting edge Techno project. As a DJ Mark Morris performed at many great venues in Europe such as the infamous Tresor Club , Stattbad (where he worked as Art Director STATTMEDIA) , Arena , M-Bia (as promoter w Aschenbescher Fur Menschen) , Kantine am Berghain in Berlin and in South America where he has been touring Colombia and Argentina and Chile (as promoter w zerotwonine chile) when he used to live there for a period from December 2012 to July 2013. Bio: Takaaki was quickly impressed and intrigued by the new sound of Techno, that hit Japan hard in the early 1990s. It was something he had never heard before. In 1994 Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan. By providing an interesting lineups, his parties quickly became a success. In 1996, having decided that it was time to start making his own tracks, Takaaki Itoh emerged to purchase the vital instruments to begin production. After sending out three finished projects to various labels, Majesty from US and Electracom from UK was fortunate enough to put Takaaki‘s first material out. This moment was something he will never forget, as he was finally able to hear his own music on vinyl. Several releases followed with Electracom as his tracks began to appear in magazine DJ charts in well known DJs from around the world. In 2000, Takaaki Itoh made his European DJ debut in Slovakia. People recognized his own style. Later he was becoming recognized as Japan's most underground and respected techno DJ. As of 2001 he was getting offers to perform at large clubs and festivals all over Europe, including Cosmic Trip and Svojsice in the Czech Republic, The Darkside in England, MTW in Germany, Awakenings and Reactor in Holland, Mayday and Sziget in Hungary, La Real and Code in Spain, U.Club and Boomerang in Slovakia, Projekt in Belgium, as well as events in Brasil, Columbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia.
