The golden warpship was once the most powerful ship in the galactic fleet. But the ship was captured by aliens, and its parts scattered throughout twelve different worlds. On each world deadly aliens, booby traps, black holes, and extreme gravitational forces guard the parts. It is now up to Solar Jetman to land on each of the worlds and retrieve all the parts so the golden warpship may be reassembled.Support NEStalgia directly by becoming a member of our Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/Nestalgia Members at the $5 and above level get access to our brand new show NEStalgia Bytes. Tonight we are reflecting on Solar Jetman: Hunt for the Golden Warpship, a 1990 physics-based, multi-directional space adventure co-developed by Zippo Games and Rare and published by Tradewest. Zippo was best known for Ironsword, the sequel to the Rare's 1987 Wizards & Warriors. Rare had a solid relationship with publisher Tradewest releasing games together such as John Elway's Quarterback, Taboo the Sixth Sense and Battletoads. Tonight our visiting Deacon is Jeff Gabor. Here is a play episode, you know, we got an ol' play episode for you. And this one at half bad, we played Dig Dug II where you blow little monsters up literally with a bike pump, and Robowarrior or the latest iteration of Legend of Zelda, and Super Team Games because Josiah and I don't plan on stuff, and Solar Jetman which is someone's most obscure favorite game of all time, and the last (please please) the last Indiana Jones game. Did we forget to analogize the conflict between Jon and Garfield in today's strip to the collision between the modern nanny state and piggish libertarianism? Yes, yes we did. But on the plus side, we nevertheless still managed to spend an average of eight solid minutes on each panel of this almost entirely wordless strip. And as an extra benefit to you, our astute listener, this episode has been specifically engineered so that it can be played multiple times, so if you run out of podcast on your morning commute, you can just play it again! And again! And again! Put THAT in your dick and smoke it, assholes!Play the 1990 NES game Solar Jetman in your browserHardcore History miniseries on Genghis KhanToday's strip

We're once again joined by Steve from Rare Gamer (raregamer.co.uk), this time to discuss his experiences at Microsoft's X15 show in Toronto. He dug in deep with several Rare employees, but did he get any dirt? Later in the show, we get a special call from a VERY IMPORTANT PERSON concerning the canon of Rare Replay's opening musical number. WHO COULD IT BE? Oh, it's Chris Allcock from Rare. Hi, Chris!
Instead of having this be part 2 of 30, we opted instead to get in as much Rare Replay discussion as possible in this episode, touching on nearly every game. See, we could have just said "from the sublime games to the BALL-BUSTING INFURIATING ones, Rare Replay is a massive achievement and a worthy tribute to the company's storied legacy." We could have said that. We turned it into a two hour-plus podcast instead.
It's a Rare Replay; let's join the fray With opinions and nostalgic talk! The most rambling words that you've ever heard, We're far less skilled than Chris Allcock.
So little in this life can be regained once it is lost. Hair that is cut off grows back. Sometimes Deborah will realize she's wrong and leave Reginald, returning to your waiting arms. If you cough up any baseball-sized shanks of sea shell throat meat, you must do your best to return it to its proper place. For Christ sake.
