This week - and what a week it is! - Mercury retrograde connects with the Sun and Pluto. Venus retrograde returns to the gentle waters of Pisces and conjoins Neptune at the tail end of that sign. We bid a fond farewell to eclipses in Aries with one last solar eclipse in that sign. And if you haven't taken to your bed by the end of the week, welcome Neptune entering Aries for the first time since 1861. And a listener question about how having many retrograde planets in your birth chart might impact your life. Plus: Looking Pluto in the eye, the subtle mind, and thank God for dirty dishes! Learn more about this eclipse in your chart - order April's Followed by a Moonshadow eclipse report, based on your personal birth chart! Read a full transcript of this episode. Have a question you'd like answered on the show? Email April or leave it here! Subscribe to April's mailing list and get a free lunar workbook at each New Moon! Love the show? Make a donation! Timestamps [1:31] Mercury retrograde conjoins the Sun (March 24, 12:48 pm PDT) at 4°24' Aries. Think positively and pay close attention to how you speak to yourself. When a planet comes together with the Sun within 17' of orb (9:10 am-4:27 pm PDT), it is called cazimi and considered extremely powerful. (For more details, check out Ep. 259). [3:26] On March 25 (3:02 pm PDT), Mercury sextiles Pluto at 3º27' Aries-Aquarius. Mercury with Pluto can reveal harsh truths and may lead to negativity. Channel this intense energy into productive outlets, including research. [5:02] Venus enters Pisces on March 27 (1:41 am PDT, through Apr. 30). She was previously in Pisces between Jan. 2-Feb. 3, then entered Aries and turned retrograde on March 1. Time to revisit matters of love or money that were not concluded in January. Jupiter rules Pisces, so beware of overspending! [6:59] Venus conjoins Neptune on March 27 (6:13 am PDT). Partnerships, especially those involving money, may be challenged by lack of clarity or new awareness. Sudden infatuations can arise, but proceed with caution. You may gain a clearer sense of your worth and let go of what drains you. [8:56] Moon Report! The Aries New Moon Solar Eclipse (March 29, 3:58 am PDT) at 09º00' Aries is on the Sabian symbol 9 Aries, A crystal gazer. This is the final eclipse on the Aries-Libra axis until 2032. This eclipse is connected to past eclipses near this degree on March 29, 2006, and March 29, 1987. [13:20] This is the New Moon in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that unfolds over the coming three years. The First Quarter in this LPFC (action point) is on Dec. 27 at 6º17' Aries, the Full Moon (awareness point) is on Sep. 26, 2026 at 3º37' Aries, and the Last Quarter (final action point) is on June 26, 2027 at 5º21' Aries [14:51] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On March 24 (8:01 am PDT), the Moon in Capricorn sextiles Neptune, is VOC for 24 minutes, then enters Aquarius (8:25 am PDT). Make a habit of approaching everyday chores as a spiritual practice. [16:01] On March 26 (3:15 am PDT), the Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus, is VOC for 9 hours 16 minutes, then enters Pisces (12:31 pm PDT). Get in the habit of seeing things from other people's points of view and making changes. [16:50] On March 28 (1:30 pm PDT), the Moon in Pisces conjoins Neptune, is VOC for just 6 minutes, and enters Aries (1:36 pm PDT). Take short breaks to give your mind an intermission from reality. [18:17] On March 30 (3:18 am PDT), the Moon in Aries squares Mars in domestic Cancer. It's VOC for 9 hours 58 minutes, then enters Taurus (1:16 pm PDT). Spend time in the kitchen or doing chores. [19:38] On March 29, Mercury enters Pisces (7:18 pm PDT), then almost immediately conjoins Neptune (7:46 pm PDT). Not a great day for logic or matters requiring focus and clarity. Indulge in naps, creative projects, and time for reflection. [21:00] Mercury conjoins Neptune (March 29, 7:46 pm PDT) at 29°59' Pisces. Neptune is like a sponge and intuition is strong, so be cautious about the sorts of messages you expose yourself to. [22:04] Neptune enters Aries (March 30, 4:58 am PDT) for the first time since 1861-1875. It entered Aries that time on April 12, 1861, and history buffs will recall this as the day that the American Civil War began, fueled by extreme idealistic differences. “Idealistic” is a Neptune word, and “war” is an Aries word. Neptune will be in Aries through 2039 and is joined here by Saturn on May 24, 2025. On the plus side, it encourages us to look at ourselves as heroes of our own story and to find courage and proactive solutions to challenges. [24:35] Listener Stephanie asks about how having many retrograde planets in your birth chart might impact your life. Matthew 4:1–11The Temptation of Jesus[1] Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. [2] And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. [3] And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” [4] But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'” [5] Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple [6] and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,' and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'” [7] Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.'” [8] Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. [9] And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” [10] Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'” [11] Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him. (ESV)

JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM FOR THIS WEEK'S PODCAST EXPLORING THIS ECLIPSE'S MESSAGE THAT AN OPPOSITIONAL “IT'S MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY” ATTITUDE ONLY GETS YOU SO FAR, WHILE NEGOTIATION & COMPROMISE OF THE “TRY TO SEE IT MY WAY KIND” PROMISES A BETTER CHANCE FOR PEACE! This Libra Full Moon lunar eclipse asks us to realize that true partnership takes hard work & the commitment now to release any romanticized notions that relationship can magically simply work--without some kind of realistic effort to empathize with those of opposing viewpoints. The Beatles lyrics of “We Can Work It Out” come to mind: “Try to see it my way, do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on? If we see it your way, things may fall apart before too long…we can work it out, we can work it out…”But “can we work it out?” is the question as this Libra Full Moon lunar eclipse which occurs at 5'07 Libra at midnight PT & 3 a.m. ET March 25. Falling in the 9th House of law, immigration, morality, integrity, etc., & opposing the Aries Sun in the 3rd House of communication of the U.S. capitol illustrates the philosophical differences between those who prefer to duke it out with those who are willing to compromise for the sake of a higher purpose. The key lies with duking it out for the purpose of negotiating a compromise at this lunation, especially since both luminaries are waxing toward squares to Washington, D.C.'s 10'13” Capricorn/Cancer Ascendant/Descendant.This lunar eclipse has the Libra Moon standing alone against Aries Sun reminding it that independent action can only work for so long before some kind of partnership agreement can be reached. Negotiation & compromise is the only way to settle long term disputes in ways that may not make everyone joyous, but satisfies both parties enough in the end to forge a harmonious peace. This eclipse lunation is similar to the the Pisces New Moon on March 10 in that all of the planets are squished into a crowded conglomeration including from Jupiter in Taurus to Pluto in Aquarius. Back then, however, the Pisces Moon & Sun came together and were included in this fold, indicating both the possibility for a myopic focus in the negative sense, but also a strong sense of concentrated attention that could benefit specific areas of life. Now, since the conglomeration of planets is almost exactly the same--with the exception of the Sun's move into Aries on March 18 & Mars pending move into Pisces March 22—this eclipse lunation differs basically because the Libra Moon is now opposing the Aries Sun which resides within this group. So we have a situation where the Libra Moon's plea for negotiation & compromise toward a peaceful resolution of disputes between partners can be recognized in stark contrast to the ideologies of Pluto in Aquarius, the impetus for war amongst the planets in Aries, including the Sun, Chiron, Mercury, & Eris (Mars's sister in Greek mythology & the dwarf planet known as the goddess of discord & chaos), & the realization that we all share in the Piscean commitment to help those less fortunate than ourselves. At this eclipse, the Libra Moon is separating from a trine to Pluto in Aquarius, & a quincunx to Mars in Pisces. The former denotes a potential agreement between partners through negotiation, the latter a necessary adjustment as Mars moves from ideological warrior in Aquarius to a more empathic & compassionate one in Pisces. That's especially true as Venus now separates from Saturn in Pisces, a conjunction aspect that signifies commitment in partnership. Today's podcast, which drops at 11 a.m. PT & 2 p.m. ET 2 KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM, explores how we got here from there through a look back at this month's lunar cycle since March 10 & the one from February 9, with a detailed discussion of what's been revealed to us all since then & what needs to be released now. Included in this is a look at GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump's chart & how public perception has changed over time due to transiting Pluto's quincunx to his Leo Ascendant & the royal star Regulus, & transiting Uranus's approach to his Taurus Midheaven. Whether he pulls himself out of his current financial mess—which requires he post a $454 million bond by March 25, the day of the lunar eclipse—or not, we look at whether this portends further losses in public support for him…Don't miss this enlightening podcast! Some people believe God afflicts us with disease for His inscrutable purposes. Some believe that healing is/was primarily a sign of God's anointing or endorsing the ministry of Jesus and of the Apostles. We believe that healing is for believers today, but do we really know why we believe that?Join us as we continue on the subject of healing, looking closely at the ministry of Jesus, and taking a fresh look at some Old Testament passages about sickness and healing. “God Always Sees Us As Beloved“ - Rev. John Kerns, Pastor
There are some big things happening in the kingdom of God at large, and we do well by joining these happenings in prayer, and in pursuing the wider issues of His kingdom. But in the midst of it all, we need to be reminded from time to time that He still cares about us as individual children. Following up on the prayer series, Pastor Scott reminds us that God has made healing promises to stand on. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 6 pm Trinity Church, Lakeville, CT TICKETS Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 4 pm Saint James Place, Great Barrington, MA TICKETS Carissimi's Jephte and Missa L'Homme armé This program features some of the great vocal repertoire before the era of Bach and Vivaldi: works by the 17th century Italian composer Giacomo Carissimi. Carissimi – who continued Claudio Monteverdi's legacy of dramatic vocal music – tells the story of a human tragedy in one of the first oratorios, “Jephte.” The Israelite general Jephte and his people celebrate a great military victory, and then sink into despair over the loss of Jephte's beloved daughter. Like in later oratorios – similar to opera – the main characters are sung by soloists: a tenor and a soprano. The narrator role is fulfilled by solos, duets, and ensemble and choral numbers. Among the latter is the famous “Plorate filii Israel” (Weep, Oh ye children of Israel), a lament for six voices by the daughter's virgin companions, in which they bewail her misfortune. This oratorio leaves nothing to be de- sired, as it presents the full spectrum of emotions: from joy, fear and anger, love and tenderness, triumphal ex- altation, desperation and sadness
