In this episode, we look in detail at the updated program of free concerts in Country Music Capital's Bicentennial Park... or Toyota Park as it is known during the annual festival.
This week's guest is Chris Toler. Toler and I met at a party in college and instantly clicked with each other and bonded over our love of Phish. In addition to sharing some fun stories from the road, we talked about Toler's first show at Toyota Park in 2010, why '94 is his favorite year of Phish, and the iconic 10/31/94 Reba.
In this episode, we look forward to the upcoming festival and cover in detail news of Toyota Park free entertainment which will run every night of the festival… including the giant opening concert on festival day one… Toyota Star Maker on the first Sunday evening… the huge Back to the Bush Concert mid week and the busking championships on the last Sunday.

Orlando City went on the road twice this past week and came home with a pair of results, running its unbeaten streak to eight matches (5-0-3) after a win at Sporting Kansas City and a draw at FC Dallas. Both were firsts for the Lions, who had never won at Children’s Mercy Park or earned a single point at Toyota Park. We’re breaking down both matches, hitting the key talking points, and awarding our picks for Man of the Match — neither of which was unanimous this week. Ben Cork from Once a Metro stopped by to help us preview Saturday afternoon’s match-up between the Lions and New York Red Bulls. The previously struggling Red Bulls have hit their stride the last two matches and Ben tells us what’s different and what we might expect on Saturday. The Orlando Pride continued their Fall Series schedule in Houston on Saturday and things did not go well. Hey, at least Ashlyn Harris played well. We discuss the match and the current state of the Pride with the Fall Series half over. We also go a little over on our OCB minute after another loss for the Young Lions. This week’s Ask Us Anything segment wants to know about television shows and we like our television shows. If there’s anything — and we do mean anything —you want us to address on our next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. After the mailbag, we give you our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City’s match-up Saturday at Exploria Stadium against the Red Bulls. That’s all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here’s how show No. 216 went down: 0:15 - The Lions had a pair of successful business trips and we’re here for it. 42:29 - Ben Cork weighs in on the state of the New York Red Bulls heading into Saturday. 1:01:37 - Pride-Dash, OCB, our mailbag, a little Gonzalo Higuain talk, and our key match-ups and predictions for Orlando City vs. the New York Red Bulls. Hello! In this timeless episode which may or may not have been recorded in 2018 (See if you can date it), we interview our Retrenders.com host owner and car guy, Eddie. Eddie is a ukelele playing extraordinaire, and car guy without a current project car who has given our podcast a home for the last 2 years. Over an hour and a half we talk about such mature car guy topics as: Michael Jackson's Hair Pokemon... again What it's like to own a Celica, a mkIII Supra, then an ALL TRAC Celica as a young dumb college kid. What it would be like to visit Toyota Park (Think Jurassic Park but with old toyotas instead of dinosaurs) Upgrading from a Miata to a VW Beetle. What it's like to crash a VW Beetle Our updated someday builds and some listener questions! You can find more of Eddie on Instagram at @the_eddie131 All musical stings in this episode are all generously provided by Eddie and Reyson And as usual: Reyson: @yetanotherhero Turtle: @turtle1032 Wes: @thank_you_wes Thank you so much for listening to us ramble about old irrelevant Toyotas for hours. We appreciate it from the bottom of our twin cammed, surface rusty hearts. Stay tuned for more episodes!
Today we are joined by Tesho Akindele who we interviewed in a conference room at Toyota Park while he was a member of FC Dallas. He is now a member of Orlando City, so while we are excited for Tesho we can't help but ask if this was our fault somehow. Several players we interview tend to move on to other clubs. Hello soccer fans! Thanks for stopping by and giving us a listen. In this episode, you'll get a recap of the scores around Major League Soccer along with the latest news from the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup (USOC) and the Canadian Championship. We also analyze Minnesota United FC's possible play-off push, discuss Alphonso Davies' record setting transfer to Bayern Munich, and Mike shares his stories about attending Chicago vs. TFC. Specifically, the hosts break down the final four teams of the USOC and their picks to win. They also take a detailed look at why Portland Timbers filed a protest against LAFC for using too many international players in their quarterfinal match-up. Will Bob Bradley take another expansion team to the finals? You know the press would love to write that story line! Also, the hosts still think the Canadian Championship is Toronto FC's to lose. With their starters getting healthy, they could be poised for a surprising second half of the MLS season. Did you see how MNUFC dismantled LAFC? Our hosts did, but they don't want to make too much of a big deal about beating a depleted LAFC team, especially when 4 of the next 5 games are against Western Conference playoff teams. However, the Loons have all the pieces, starting with Superman Quintero, to make a playoff push. Finally, Mike shares his experience at Toyota Park in Bridgeview as he and his wife (who is a big fan of Alex Bono) saw the Fire host TFC. When he was not exchanging pleasantries with Jordan Hamilton, Mike was learning information concerning the health of TFC's starting goal keeper. Make sure to tune in to the entire episode to hear what might keep Bono from playing at 100%. Let us know what you think about these, or any MLS topics, in the comments below. Thanks again for listening!

ExtraTime Radio driven by Continental is back in the comfy confines of the Green Room to break down MLS Week 22. The playoff races are heating up, and wasted opportunities and opportunistic results have clubs going opposite directions. New York is blue thanks to David Villa's first-ever MLS hat-trick, a disallowed Gyasi Zardes goal and LA Galaxy loss inspires a Baerantee, The Answer bites Sporting KC, Seattle puts a hurting on Minnesota (complete with Monty Python reference) and the Chicago Fire flame New England at home, their ninth straight win (!!!) at Toyota Park. All 22 teams get a once over! In the second segment, Howard Webb, who you'll recognize as the man in the middle at the 2010 World Cup final and is now PRO's Manager of VAR Operations, joins Andrew and David to evaluate the first weekend of Video Review in MLS. Though there were more than 100 checks, only two plays were reviewed. Did the referees get them right? Were there kinks in the process? What is a clear and obvious error? How do referees define the attacking phase? All your questions (and more) answered by the man behind Video Review in MLS. Monday means Andrew and David head to the Baer's Lair for a wild 20 minutes of MLS banter. Ahead of the US Open Cup semifinals, Chicago Fire general manager Nelson Rodriguez stops by the studio to give a behind-the-scenes look at the club’s transfer dealings, explain why they haven’t splashed the cash – yet, anyway – and dream about winning a trophy in front of the home fans at Toyota Park. Plus, all the talking points from #SEAvHOU (4 pm ET, ESPN), #NYCvCHI (7:30 pm ET, FS1) and #LAvPOR (9:30 pm ET, FS1). The second segment starts with a debate: Who is the most underrated player in MLS? After that, the guys wonder whether Seattle finally found their DP attacking midfielder, if Montreal's midfield is good enough as currently constituted and whether Sporting KC will take three points on the road against the Red Bull as they roll through the full weekend preview. In the mailbag, the guys' get a lesson in food safety and Fire fans explain what it was like last weekend in the frigid cold at Toyota Park.
We're all pretty stoked about the Lions getting back-to-back wins. You know what I'm saying? Like, winning is better than losing! We break down the 1-0 victory over Chicago Fire at Toyota Park, giving you our overall thoughts on the match, discuss what Brek Shea's return has meant to the club, and hand out our selections for Man of the Match. The defense seems to be starting to gel now that David Mateos has played a few matches in purple and that's great to see. And Bryan Rochez has had a couple of super-sub performances off the bench and that could lead to a start this Friday. Speaking of Friday, we are joined by Jason Iapicco from Once a Metro to preview this weekend's game at Red Bull Arena. Jason gives us the RBNY perspective and it's unanimous -- we all want Orlando City to finish ahead of New York City FC. Here's how the magic happened: 0:26- We're thrilled with more points, excited to have Brek Shea back, and intrigued to see what Adrian Heath does with his lineup on Friday. 15:40- Jason jumps aboard to let us know what's changed with the Red Bulls since the last meeting and discusses what it takes to be successful in MLS. 38:02- Prognostication time! Who will start? What's the key to the match? Who will win? We take our best shot at getting it right for a change, and -- surprise! -- we're split on this. Learn more about your ad choices. So that's what three points feel like. It's been awhile. Brek Shea returned and Adrian Winter and Bryan Rochez both opened their MLS accounts as the Lions claimed all the points against former OCSC star Dom Dwyer and his Sporting Kansas City teammates at the Citrus Bowl Sunday. Andrew Harrison joins host Michael Citro to discuss the game's talking points and bask in the glow of victory. Then Hot Time in the Old Town Editor-in-Chief Sean Spence joins us to look ahead to Chicago on Saturday and which players may or may not play at Toyota Park for the Fire. Sean gave us the lowdown on the situation in Chicago and what we can expect on Saturday, plus his score prediction. And we give our key match-ups for the weekend and our not-to-be-wagered-on predictions for the game against the Fire. Here's how it happened: 0:25- Victory! Andrew and Michael dissect a very satisfying 3-1 home win on Sunday and spotlight the performances by Adrian Winter, Bryan Rochez, Brek Shea, Cristian Higuita, Servando Carrasco and others. Plus our Man of the Match selections. 21:20- Sean Spence jumps on and he's got much to say about the state of the Chicago Fire. He previews Chicago's speedy forwards and midfielders and which ones might sit out the match Saturday. Plus he gives us his take on the NWSL as Orlando City seems on the brink of adding a women's team. 47:36- Our key match-ups and prediction time! Learn more about your ad choices.
