What if Revelation 20 doesn't show TWO judgments… but ONE powerful Day of Judgment REPLAYED from Heaven's vantage point? In this final installment, we prove that John is not fast-forwarding 1,000 years into a second judgment — he's rewinding to complete the SAME DAY already seen.
The Orlando Pride concluded a grueling road trip since our last show, with stops in Mexico City and Houston after last week's win at San Diego. The team returns home, where it will play three competitive matches out of the remaining four on the schedule at Inter&Co Stadium, with a trip to Washington sandwiched in there as well.We open this week's show with a brief discussion of a forgettable Concacaf W Champions Cup match at Club America that saw the Pride fall flat in a 2-0 loss, handing the group to the Liga MX Femenil side. We then turned our attention to the NWSL match Friday at Houston, where it appeared the Dash would hold on for a 1-0 win until Simone Charley's storybook finish stole a point back for Orlando near the end of normal time. We break down the draw in Houston, check on our score predictions from last week, and make our selections for Player of the Match. We also touch on the difficulty in the remaining schedule, with a tough home matchup against Pachuca in Champions Cup and three NWSL opponents that are all above the playoff line. This week's mailbagbox was short and sweet, asking us whether all of the Pride players who are going to score goals this year have already done so. Remember, you can ask us anything by hitting us up on Twitter at either @TheManeLand or @SkoPurpSoccer and using the hashtag #AskSkoPurp. You can use that same hashtag and hit @TheManeLand.bsky.social up on Bluesky. Or you can visit our show page, scroll down, and fill out the handy form. We'd also appreciate any ratings or reviews you can leave wherever you get your podcasts, and if you do that on Apple Podcasts, we'll find them easily and read them on the show. Finally, we previewed the Portland Thorns match coming up Friday in Orlando. The Pride haven't fared well against the Thorns over the years, but the teams are quite evenly matched. Orlando needs three points with a trip to play the Spirit looming. We look at the series history, preview the game, provide our key matchups, and try our best to predict the final score. If you'd like to support our independent writing and podcasting efforts, we'd love to have you as a subscriber or donor over at our Buy Me a Coffee site. Here's how Episode 104 went down:0:15 – The Pride stepped on a lot of rakes at Club America, but grinding out a result at Houston at the end of three away games in eight days was a decent enough result.15:08 - The mailbagbox did not overstay its welcome this week.21:19 - The Pride prepare for Portland. Poison tells us that every rose has its thorns, but will the Thorns provide Orlando with a sweet-smelling rose of a result?

Your cells are starving. Not for food—but for oxygen. In this episode of The Human Upgrade, Dave Asprey sits down with Dr. Jason Sonners, world-renowned hyperbaric expert and regenerative medicine pioneer, to reveal how controlled oxygen under pressure is becoming one of the most powerful tools in anti-aging and performance science. You'll learn how hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) triggers stem cell activation, rewires your epigenome, boosts mitochondrial energy, and reverses biological aging—if you use it the right way. Jason shares breakthrough findings from his latest PhD research comparing low- and high-pressure chambers, with surprising results on inflammation, telomeres, cognitive performance, and recovery speed. This is next-gen longevity—measurable, stackable, and customizable. From sleep upgrades and HRV boosts to stacking HBOT with fasting, methylene blue, or red light, this episode dives into what it takes to oxygenate your biology at the deepest level. You'll Learn: • How hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) triggers stem cell regeneration and cellular repair • Why mild-pressure chambers may be more powerful than you think• What HBOT does to inflammation, brain fog, and biological aging markers • How to stack HBOT with fasting, red light, and methylene blue for amplified results • What Dr. Sonners' PhD research reveals about oxygen pressure and genetic expression • The truth about oxygen toxicity—and how to avoid the common mistakes • How elite performers use HBOT for brain optimization, recovery, and resilience ** Get 30% of yourr tickets to the Biohacking conference by going to https://biohackingconference.com/2025 and use code ‘OXYHEALTH' ** Thank you to our sponsors! -Our Place | Head to https://fromourplace.com/ and use the code DAVE for 10% off your order. -Timeline | Head to https://www.timeline.com/dave to get 10% off your first order. In the first of an occasional series he delves into his archive to bring you interviews with Stephen Sondheim, David Bowie, and many more.In this first episode he remembers meeting the man who reinvented the musical Stephen Sondheim in New York in 2010. In this conversation they discussed his long and storied career, his tempestuous upbringing, his tutelage under the beady eye of Oscar Hammerstein, what makes a musical great. The Orlando Pride keep winning. We aren't used to that, but we're here for it. Barbra Banda has brought her lethal finishing to the City Beautiful and her fourth goal in three games was just enough for the Pride to squeak past previously undefeated Racing Louisville, 1-0. We check in on our score predictions, discuss the game in detail, and make our selections for Player of the Match. Our mailbagbox this week wants us to visit Tampa for some women's soccer. It also includes questions about the tackiness level of a hat, the sustainability of Orlando's offense, lineup changes when players get healthy, and more. Remember, you can ask us anything by hitting us up on Twitter at either @TheManeLand or @SkoPurpSoccer and using the hashtag #AskSkoPurp. Or you can visit our show page, scroll down, and fill out the handy form. We'd also appreciate any ratings or reviews you can leave wherever you get your podcasts, and if you do that on Apple Podcasts, we'll find them easily and read them on the show. After the mailbagbox, we suddenly remembered we forgot to talk about the North Carolina match. So, we checked in on our predictions, discussed the 4-1 win, and made our Player of the Match selections. Better late than never! We finished the show with our previews and our score predictions for the Pride's upcoming, first-ever meeting with expansion side Bay FC. The newcomers have been leaking goals, but also scoring them. Orlando will need to avoid a letdown to stay undefeated on Saturday at home. Here's how Episode 42 went down: 0:15 – The Pride weren't at their best Sunday against Racing Louisville, but they still managed to grind out their fifth straight win. We discuss! 15:18 – The mailbagbox contains both questions and offers to host your faithful hosts. 39:26 – We forgetful rubes remembered there was another game since our last podcast and dive into Orlando's win over the Courage, and we close with a Bay FC preview and predictions.

Amid the more serious discussions, we can't help but debate the finer points of Australian slang and get caught up in the whirlwind of graduation parties and summer plans set to unfold for our own brood.Remember those iconic college films that seemed to define a generation? We're diving headfirst into the days of Savage Steve Holland classics and "PCU" shenanigans, sparking a wave of nostalgia that's sure to bring back a rush of memories. At the same time, we're navigating the choppy waters of college decisions with our kids—will MC number one lock in her choice before diving into camp counselor life? Strap in for a heartfelt ride through the rocky yet exhilarating terrain of young adulthood and the big choices that shape their paths.Wrapping up, we pull back the curtain on our personal lives, from the minor tragedy of a forgotten book to the triumphs over tabletop beasts in Arkham Horror. In our glorious age of streaming services, we never need to worry about recording anything ourselves - we just click “Continue Watching” and chill. But in the sad, not-too-distant past, you couldn't always just open up Netflix and binge all nine seasons of Suits whenever you felt like it. Instead, if you missed your favorite soap, tough noogies. That is, that was the way things were until the magical VCR entered the American household. Out of the house? No problem! Just pop in a cassette and you're golden. The only problem was that two companies wanted the glory of becoming the standard format on which people would record their shows - and neither was going down without a fight. Daniel teaches Rob and Ray about the infamous format war between Sony's Betamax systems and tapes, and JVC's competitor, the VHS; how the history of recorded and broadcast video on recorded tape media took some strange twist and turns involving World War II and Bing Crosby; Rob's and Ray's favorite streaming services; the legal challenges Sony faced from studios terrified that home recording would be the death knell of movie distribution; and why home recorded media is no longer something consumers really seem to want or even have access to.If you like what we're doing, please support us on Patreon, or you can subscribe to our bonus content on Apple Podcasts. Another year around the sun! It is the Winter Solstice which means it is time for our sixth annual "Best Of" episode of 3 Books. 3 Books began back in 2018 with a simple goal of counting down the 1000 most formative books in the world ... 3 books at a time. We wanted this show to help all of us read more and read better and we wanted to do that by being different -- with a lunar-based schedule and a deep intention of being an ‘intrinsically-motivated journey' with no ads, sponsors, commercials, or interruptions. We started collecting values like: "No book shame, no book guilt", "Humans are the best algorithm", and "You are what you eat and you are what you read." Over the years this journey has been a warm ray of sun in my life. I hope it's felt the same for you. My goal with the “Best Of” is to reflect on the year by picking a snippet from every Chapter and Bookmark that helps us pause and ponder. You'll hear (or re-hear) wisdom from our chats with Steve Toltz, Timothy Goodman, Johann Hari, Tank Sinatra, Suzy Batiz, Martellus Bennett, Chefs Osama and Houssam, Jully Black, Lenore Skenazy, Heather McGowan, Sahil Bloom, Ralph Nader, and J. Drew Lanham (his interview is coming out on December 26th!!) Thank you for sharing time with me and our incredible warm-hearted community of 3 Bookers around the world. I hope this (lengthy!) Best Of can keep you company on a long drive, late-night walk, or over some quiet moments through the holidays. Let's stop and reflect and then keep enjoying the ride. Listen now at 3books.co/chapters/best-of-2023 --- Leave us a voicemail. Your message may be included in a future chapter: 1-833-READ-A-LOT. The Orlando Pride took a brief pause from earning points in NWSL play to completely rotate the lineup and get smacked down 4-2 at Washington in the Challenge Cup one week ago. That wasn't as fun as seeing Tori (not Taylor, even though I slipped up and called her that) Hansen score a wicked cool backheel goal or Summer Yates sending Ally Watt in for a second Pride goal. Most of the moments in between were far less fun. We discuss the match and the lineup and select our Player of the Match. But wait! There's more! The Pride also returned to league play on Sunday at Gotham FC and even though the final score of 0-0 doesn't necessarily inspire oodles of confidence (if you happened to miss the game), Orlando actually played its best and most complete match of the season. Those pesky goals sometimes don't happen, but if the Pride can stay at that level — a level that limited Gotham to one shot on target, which didn't arrive until the 84th minute — then Seb Hines has his team on the right track. We broke down the second match as well, and once again selected our Player of the Match. Once again, we had both an empty mailbagbox and empty hearts because of it. Finally, we gave our key matchups and score predictions for the Pride's rematch this Saturday at home against the Washington Spirit. Here's how Episode 6 went down: 0:15 – The Pride stayed winless in the Challenge Cup (0-1-1) but maintained their current unbeaten streak in league play (2-0-1). 16:42 – Our empty mailbagbox allowed us to go into our key matchups and score predictions for Saturday's rematch game against the Washington Spirit.
The Orlando Pride played two matches since our last show, and that gave the team twice as many opportunities to hurt us. I'm sorry to say that the Pride took full advantage of those opportunities, losing their grasp on a win in the 99th minute in their first NWSL Challenge Cup game of 2023 and then getting blanked on the road by the league's only other winless team. We're here to talk you through the 1-1 draw against the North Carolina Courage that had some positives — the play of Carly Nelson in goal and Emily Madril at right back, for example. We also make our picks for Player of the Match. After that, we tackle a disappointing 2-0 loss in Kansas City in which the Pride actually seemed to be more in control of the game than the hosts for big chunks of the match. It's that darn lack of finishing chances that ultimately has done in Orlando so far this season (aside from the opener at Portland). However, there are signs of life with the Pride and hopefully Seb Hines can build on those. We also selected our Player of the Match from the regular-season away game on Saturday. The Professional Referees Organization came out and said the review that ultimately led to a penalty that allowed Gotham FC to break a 0-0 deadlock in the 100th minute and beat the Pride 2-0 should not have been reversed. It did not meet the organization's standard for a clear and obvious error and the call on the field should have stood. Well, that isn't helpful in any meaningful way, but OK. We have thoughts on how PRO can better hold itself accountable. They might not be realistic ones, but they just might work. There was nothing in the mailbagbox this week so get your questions in next week by hitting us up on Twitter at either @TheManeLand or @SkoPurpSoccer and asking us anything. Be sure to use the hashtag #AskSkoPurp. Or you can visit our show page, scroll down, and fill out the handy form. Finally, we gave our key match-ups and score predictions for the Pride's match this Saturday night at San Diego Wave FC. Here's how the show went down: 0:15 – The Pride got a draw at the death instead of a win in the Challenge Cup and another loss in the league. Please make it stop. 22:46 – PRO admits that PRO gonna PRO. 33:42 – Predictions for a trip to face the San Diego Wave.

Orlando City drew Tigres last midweek but in this case a draw was a loss, as the Mexican side got the all-important road goal in a 1-1 stalemate and advanced in the Concacaf Champions League. The Lions proved they belonged and were never bested but the tiebreaker setup did not shine on Orlando. Ercan Kara scored Orlando's first Champions League goal and no one who saw it will ever forget it. The team fought hard and it was a solid first outing in the competition against a former champion and perennial favorite. We broke the match down and named our Man of the Match — that second part was easy. The Lions, unfortunately, did not take that good performance into Saturday. Orlando City played poorly in the first half and couldn't recover from it after halftime. Martin Ojeda finally scored his first MLS goal but the Lions had little to celebrate other than that in a 2-1 loss at home to a Charlotte team that had been exceedingly poor to start the year. Still, we had to throw in some analysis and our picks for Man of the Match and we did our duty. Orlando Pride rookie Messiah Bright scored a brace in the NWSL side's final preseason match. That, along with a blast from Kerry Abello, allowed the Pride to come from 2-0 down against the Washington Spirit and win, 3-2. The Pride finished 5-0-0 this preseason. Bright joins us this week as our special guest and talks about that brace helping her build confidence. It sounds like the Pride are a confident bunch and the rookie forward talked about playing for Seb Hines, whether he actually ever gets angry, and her adjustment from college soccer to the professional ranks. Big thanks to Messiah for coming on the show. We discussed the Pride's new “Highway Woman” primary kit — which is great — and the story behind it. Whether the team is good this season or not, Orlando will once again be on point in the uniform game. The Pride have a difficult opening day, traveling to Portland to face the defending champion Thorns. It should make for a good early test to see how Orlando stacks up against the league's best. We also briefly touched on the OCB roster that dropped this week. Some familiar names are back, some are gone, and there are some new faces — some of whom have yet to arrive — this season. The Young Lions kick off their 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season Sunday in Philadelphia. This week's mailbagbox asked for some predictions on Orlando City's real-life finish vs. AFC Richmond's fictional one, how we fell in love with the beautiful game, and more. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. Finally, we looked ahead to Saturday night's game at Philadelphia, complete with our key match-ups and predictions for what might happen against the Union. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 331 went down: 0:15 - The Lions were knocked out of Champions League despite never losing, but then they lost against what has been a pretty meek opponent to this point in the MLS season. 35:06 - Messiah Bright stops by! The Pride rookie was a delight to talk to and we look forward to seeing her on the pitch based on all the things she said in our interview. 51:54 - Pride and OCB news, our mailbagbox, and our key match-ups and predictions. Before this week's show gets underway, we've got some announcements to make and we are pretty pumped up about them all. There is our fundraiser to launch our independence, obviously, which has us all extremely emotional and thankful. To that end, we began the long process of giving out our shout-outs to our brand new Founders. It's going to take a few shows to get them all in! If you were part of this week's, it means we don't have any way to contact you to get your benefits to you, so please email us. Then there are some podcast-specific announcements that we feel will make everyone's experience more enjoyable. We hope you like what's coming! Now, on to why you're here... Orlando City has played to two consecutive scoreless draws and the two results felt quite different from each other. The Lions survived squad rotation against a good FC Cincinnati side last weekend in league play and survived Tigres in Concacaf Champions League play on Tuesday night in Mexico. We analyze the two matches and make our Man of the Match selections for both games. After our conversation about two straight 0-0 draws, Orlando Pride Vice President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Haley Carter jumps on with us to talk about the job she's been hired to do. Among the things she shared with us is a huge tease about the summer transfer window, but alas...no specifics yet. Carter obviously has a lot of belief in Pride Head Coach Seb Hines and in strengthening the club through development at every level. After our discussion with Carter, there was news from the Pride side about the team's latest preseason win, the signing of draft picks Messiah Bright and Summer Yates, and a minor schedule change. We dipped into a full mailbag this week to discuss Ercan Kara, the AFC Richmond players we'd want to suit up for Orlando City, and more. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. Finally, we looked ahead to Saturday night's showdown at D.C. United, with key match-ups and predictions, and we're extremely amped about next Wednesday's rematch with Tigres. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 329 went down: 0:15 - Celebrating a shutout win for the second straight year and yet another opening day result for the Lions. Also celebrating a potential new deal for Torres. 36:09 - Haley Carter joins us to talk about her task of turning the Pride around, her thoughts on the current roster, and maybe a surprise is coming? 57:15 - The Pride won another preseason game and signed two more draft picks ahead of the 2023 season. 1:04:46 - Things we love: the mailbagbox, 5-star reviews on Apple Podcasts, and making predictions that will probably turn out to be horribly wrong.
