Dugina was the daughter of Aleksandr Dugin, a Russian political thinker believed to be close to Putin. The Holy See's unsigned communication said Pope Francis has made “numerous speeches” on the Ukraine War “mostly aimed at inviting pastors and the faithful to prayer, and all people of goodwill to solidarity and efforts to rebuild peace.” “It is reiterated that the Holy Father's words on this tragic issue should be read as a voice raised in defense of human life and the values attached to it, and not as taking a political stance,” the Holy See said. The Vatican's statement appeared to refer in part to criticism over Pope Francis' August 24 appeal for an end to the war in Ukraine, in which he referenced Dugina's death. “I think of that poor girl blown up by a bomb under her car seat in Moscow. The innocent pay for war, the innocent! Let us think about this reality and say to each other: war is madness,” Francis said at the end of his general audience. If we go back in history, we discover that the Vatican has been against the idea of the State of Israel from the start. In the book "The Vatican and Zionism" by Sergio I. Minerbi, he points out that "...the Holy See's policy toward political Zionism is inseparable from the Catholic Church's religious stand regarding the Jews." and he notes that, "For hundreds of years, the Catholic Church has taken the theological position that the Church is the "true Israel" and the exclusive heir of the Bible." On May 19, 1896 when Herzl met with the nuncio, or Vatican Ambassador in Vienna and made a proposal for a Jewish state with Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nazareth extra-territorialized and the capital elsewhere, the Ambassador's reply was: "I believe Rome will be against us, because she does not consider the solution of the Jewish Question in a Jewish state, and perhaps even fears it."
Vatican Abdicator and the entire Vatican Assassin Trilogy conclude with this episode covering the last of the Appendix material. This includes the second half of "The Future of The Future" - my name for the outline I worked from as I wrote my three books. It's not quite the original outline, but this second half especially contains pretty much the raw ideas as I was first writing them down.
