Communication with God is the root than enables effective communication among ministry leaders and to keep the ministry focused on Christ. Listen to Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C share more in this segment of the Son Rise Morning Show on Sacred Heart Radio, about how we can communicate well within our ministries and ensure that God is leading the efforts. "At the same time, in the life of the Church, mission is closely linked to communion. While the mystery of Christmas celebrates the mission of the Son of God among us, it also contemplates its purpose, namely that God has reconciled the world to himself through Christ (cf. 2 Cor 5:19) and in him made us his children. Christmas reminds us that Jesus came to reveal the true face of God as Father, so that we might all become his children and therefore brothers and sisters to one another. The Father's love, embodied and revealed by Jesus in his liberating actions and preaching, enables us, in the Holy Spirit, to be a sign of a new humanity — no longer founded on selfishness and individualism, but on mutual love and solidarity. This task is urgent both ad intra and ad extra. It is urgent ad intra, because communion in the Church always remains a challenge that calls us to conversion. At times, beneath an apparent calm, forces of division may be at play. We can fall into the temptation of swinging between two opposite extremes: uniformity that fails to value differences, or the exacerbation of differences and viewpoints instead of seeking communion. Thus, in interpersonal relationships, in internal office dynamics, or in addressing questions of faith, liturgy, morality and more besides, there is a risk of falling into rigidity or ideology, with their consequent conflicts. Yet we are the Church of Christ, his members, his body. We are brothers and sisters in him. And in Christ, though many and diverse, we are one: In Illo uno unum. We are called, especially here in the Curia, to be builders of Christ's communion, which is to take shape in a synodal Church where all cooperate in the same mission, each according to his or her charism and role. This communion is built not so much through words and documents as through concrete gestures and attitudes that ought to appear in our daily lives, including in our work." ~ quote from Pope Leo XIV: https://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/speeches/2025/december/documents/20251222-curia-romana.html There are seven keys to effective Christ-centered collaboration in the Church: 1) Christ—we must recognize that Christ is the center of all that we do, 2) Cenacle—referring to how the Apostles and the Blessed Mother Mary gathered in prayer, discernment, and action, 3) Communio—communion is the core of collaboration and provides the sense of togetherness, 4) Cooperation—we must work together to understand perspectives and care for those in need, 5) Communication—effective communication ensures that collaboration moves efficiently and effectively to achieve the ministerial goals, 6) Compassion—when things don't go according to plan, ensure that those involved in the work of the ministry are cared for with charity as well, 7) Co-responsibility—we all share in the mission of Christ and his church, it is each of our roles to preach the Gospel. Holy cooperation involves integrating our ministry's or apostolate's decisions with the grace and movements of the Blessed Trinity to better come to discover where God is calling us. Listen to Fr. Greater unity and communion with one another allow us to work together more effectively. The Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary gathered in the Cenacle, or Upper Room, to collaborate with each other and the Holy Spirit as they made decision and implemented their actions. This model of prayer and collaboration in union with the Holy Spirit should be emulated at all levels of the Church today, including within parish ministries. Listen to Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C share more in this segment of the Son Rise Morning Show on Sacred Heart Radio, about why we must deepen our communion with God and each other in order to more fully collaborate and fulfill our ministries."At the same time, in the life of the Church, mission is closely linked to communion. NZ First is starting the election on a high note, recording its best-ever result in the Taxpayers' Union-Curia poll out today. The poll results, if reflected on election day, would see the current coalition Government re-elected, but National continues to trail Labour in the party vote. The highest jump in the poll has been recorded by NZ First, who are up 3.8 points to 11.9 percent - its highest-ever result since the poll began in January 2021. The pope's annual Christmas address to the Roman Curia was once a run-of-the-mill affair, but in 2005, the year he was elected pope, Benedict XVI used the speech to lay out his decisive vision for the implementation of the Second Vatican Council. Francis famously used the speech to decry the “diseases” of the Roman Curia. This week, Pope Leo XIV delivered his own first Christmas address to the Curia. On a special roundtable episode of “Inside the Vatican,” host Colleen Dulle and producers Ricardo da Silva, S.J., and Sebastian Gomes examine how Leo's speech continued his predecessors' priorities, and where it differed. “Inside the Vatican” will take a break for Christmas and return on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, barring any breaking news.
In the long afternoon of Rome, when the Forum buzzed like a hive, Caesar stood at the heart of the stage he had chosen. It was 59 BCE, and the city wore two faces: on one side, the stubborn, rule-bound Senate; on the other, the restless masses who believed in change. Caesar, newly consul, carried a map of ambition tucked beneath his toga. He spoke not to please every senator, but to persuade enough of them to tilt the scales of power toward something novel. The season's first bright idea was reform, not rebellion. Caesar pressed a bold land-grant bill, a seedling designed to ease the grinding weights of debt and poverty. He argued that the old system, built on sprawling estates and slave labor, had cracked the republic's moral and economic backbone. If he could redistribute opportunity—granting land to veterans, easing tax burdens, and tempering the greed that gnawed at the common citizen—Rome would endure, not falter. Yet the path was thorny. Cato and the conservative faction glowered from the steps of the Curia, their voices stern as marble. They deemed Caesar's plans a perilous drift toward tyranny, a slippery slope that could erode the Senate's authority. Caesar listened, learned, and chose his battles with care. He courted the equites and the tribunes, weaving alliances with Pompey and Crassus, the other great voices of Rome who could lend him strength when the senate's doors shut in his face. As months passed, the consul's office became a theater of negotiation, persuasion, and risk. Caesar's reforms began to take root, not by decree alone, but by the quiet power of consensus—one vote, one alliance, one calculated risk after another. In that cauldron of ambition, Rome's future shifted, not with a shout, but with a patient, relentless push toward a new order. And so the stage was set for a republic forever reshaped by a man who refused to be a spectator.

In this episode of Molecule to Market, you'll go inside the outsourcing space of the global drug development sector with Philip Macnabb, Chief Executive Officer at Curia. Your host, Raman Sehgal, speaks with Phil about the pharmaceutical and biotechnology supply chain, covering: Over 25 years of working with private equity — and why PE is ultimately about building sustainable value. The common threads he looks for as a CEO of any new organisation, and why employees often know the answer first. Navigating the COVID comedown at Curia, making major network changes, and refocusing on biotech clients. Why CDMOs are really selling trust as the service, not just manufacturing — and how that plays into customer intimacy and reputation. Betting on the trend toward small batch sizes and personalised medicines in biotech and pharma. Phil leads Curia in pursuit of its mission to improve patients' lives, applying end-to-end capabilities and deep scientific expertise to advance customers from idea to impact. He brings more than 20 years of private-equity leadership experience to Curia, including the last decade in healthcare. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer at Epsilon Global, a company he co-founded. In addition to his healthcare experience, he has held senior positions in technology, distribution, and consumer products. Phil has a proven track record of sharpening companies' core value proposition, enhancing the customer experience, and building organisations with real, lasting value. Phil earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Business Administration from Purdue University. Episode 218 – Tuesday 26 August 2025 Private Devotions | Fr Peter Williams AM VG This week, we sit down with Fr Peter Williams AM VG — Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Diocese of Parramatta — to explore the practice, purpose, and power of private devotions. Fr Williams reflects on how devotions such as the Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, the Angelus, and other traditional prayers strengthen faith, foster intimacy with God, and complement the liturgy of the Church. Together with George, he discusses how devotions to relics and saints can be uniquely powerful, the growing practice of praying the Divine Office, and how private devotions, while valuable, are not the summit of Christian life — the Eucharist remains the source and summit of our faith. A rich and encouraging discussion for anyone seeking to deepen their prayer life and grow in holiness — not to be missed. – The Show is on the following Platforms: Television: TV Maria: tvmaria.ph Radio Platforms: Voice of Charity Australia (1701AM): www.voc.org.au (Live at 8pm on Tuesdays) Radio Maria Australia: https://www.radiomaria.org.au/ Social Media: @thecatholictoolboxshow Facebook & Instagram – Partners: Parousia: www.parousiamedia.com EWTN Asia Pacific: www.ewtnasiapacific.com – SUBSCRIBE to our weekly Alert and Newsletter: www.thecatholictoolboxshow.com Get your copy of "The Art of Practical Catholicism" by George Manassa: https://store.parousiamedia.com/the-art-of-practical-catholicism-your-faith-guide-george-manassa-paperback/ Get your copy of "The Art of Practical Catholicism 2" by George Manassa: https://store.parousiamedia.com/the-art-of-practical-catholicism-2-your-faith-guide-george-manassa-paperback/ Book George Manassa to speak at your parish or event now: https://www.parousiamedia.com/george-manassa/ --- DISCLAIMER This Episode does not count as Medical, Psychological or professional advice. I have been wondering when the penny would drop and yesterday might have been it. There were two stories on Chris Hipkins' problems with the Māori Party. For all the energy the media wants to put into Chris Luxon and his future, the very obvious other side of the coin, if they ever wanted to explore it, lies in the very real issue for Labour in even coming close to putting together the numbers for a government. The genesis of the coverage came out of the Takuta Ferris post on all the "Asians and blacks" and other racist bile he managed to pedal in the lead up to last Saturday's debacle of a by-election. The Māori Party had to apologise, and obviously Hipkins had to face the growing reality that these folks are crazy and not remotely interested in being helpful, useful, or part of a coalition. Why this hasn't occurred to more in the media before now, I have no idea, other than to offer the suggestion it may just be a bit inconvenient for them and their agendas and its far easier to help build on the so-called demise of the Prime Minister. But yesterday we got there at last, through simple questions: how does Labour even begin to form a deal with the Māori Party? This is one for their coverage of the polls too. You will note polls are presented as simple centre-left/centre-right numbers. A collection of parties added up and the headline is formed from the result of the maths. In this week's Curia poll, there was to be a change of Government, apparently. But each time it involves the assumption, and what an assumption it is, that Labour and the Greens and the Māori Party are one group and no such thing has ever happened. Let me make this prediction right now: it never will. So add the numbers of likely groupings and you are left with Labour and, maybe, the Greens. Do they get to Government? No, they don't. So Hipkins, given it's his issue, not the Māori Party's, has to answer the very simple question: will you work with the Māori Party, and if so, how? What jobs do they get? What policies of theirs are you implementing? Given he can't answer that and, dare I suggest, won't, he needs to grow his party support to about 40%, which he can't, and won't, either. Which is why he is not winning the election next year. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Jamin David, Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia in the Diocese of Baton Rouge discusses Pope Leo XIV, Mike Josephs, Director of Marketing at eCatholic talks about the documentary called "Carlo Acutis: Roadmap to Reality" and Nathan Meffert talks about his Catholic planners called "The Saintmaker Series Catholic Life Planner".
