On this week's podcast you'll be devastated to hear that we are unable to review Taylor Swift: The End Of An Era, however don't switch off, because we do manage to rustle up some alternatives. Dark Winds makes its return to U&Alibi (43:45)and includes what is arguably the best meta joke of the year, Percy Jackson is back, causing trouble for the gods once again in Percy Jackson And The Olympians season 2 (59:00), and Alicia Silverstone takes a jaunt to the Emerald Isle in Irish Blood on Sky Witness (50:47).(Episode 366)Note: time stamps are approximate as the ads throw them out, so are only meant as a guide. About the Episode On this episode, I speak to Tim Herbig, long-time product management coach, speaker, and author of the new book "Real Progress". Tim has worked with companies like StepStone, Chrono24, Deutsche Telekom and Specsavers, and has spent years helping product managers stop hiding behind frameworks and start making a meaningful impact. His work focuses on helping teams connect product strategy, OKRs and discovery without falling into the trap of rigid process correctness. Episode highlights: Alibi Progress vs Real Progress - how teams hide behind "the right way" of doing things, obsessing over methods and templates instead of asking whether any of it actually works The Progress Wheel - Tim's diagnostic loop that ties strategy, OKRs and discovery together so teams can see where they're actually stuck and what to do next The three attributes of good product strategy: Decisiveness, Layering and Executability How to handle OKRs when leadership gives you metrics you can't influence using zones of control and contribution How to sell discovery to sceptical stakeholders - by framing it as "protecting the company's investment", not a fluffy UX ritual Reverse-mapping discovery when you're handed a solution - even if you have to build it, work backwards to define the outcome Why frameworks should be starting points, not destinations - and why Tim would be disappointed if anyone adopted his wheel dogmatically ... And much more. The Alibi cocktail bar in Altrincham, England, has angered some of its patrons with a new rule. The bar's owner, Carl Peters, has banned solo drinkers from entering after 9 PM. If you're one of the people pressed about this policy, maybe you should drink alone, in your home, like the rest of the sad creeps. Jeffrey Epstein's scheme to “pay” the girls he abused was never about compensation—it was a calculated legal shield designed by his attorneys to fabricate the appearance of consensual transactions. By handing traumatized, vulnerable minors a few dollars, Epstein built a defense to later claim they were “prostitutes” instead of victims, a narrative he deployed the moment law enforcement closed in. Even now, figures like Alan Dershowitz cling to that script, minimizing abuse with grotesque technicalities such as “she was 17 and 10 months,” and invoking a deeply compromised “investigation” as proof that nothing illegal happened. The arrogance of this defense relied on the assumption that the public would swallow whatever excuse powerful men delivered, and that the legal system would bend to protect them. The tragedy and absurdity deepen when Epstein defenders—including political cultists and media apologists—continue repeating these talking points like gospel. They treat loyalty to figures like Donald Trump as a shield against accountability, ignoring the permanent stain of Epstein's crimes and the devastation inflicted on survivors. They mistake consequence culture for persecution, sacrificing credibility and dignity to defend men who would never defend them. When the political winds shift and Trump inevitably fades, these enablers will be left carrying the shame alone, remembered not as brave contrarians but as fools who stood on the wrong side of history, defending the indefensible while victims fought for the truth.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

As part of our Hidden Killers 2025 Year in Review series, we're revisiting two of the most revealing — and overlooked — aspects of the Bryan Kohberger murder case: the expert witness controversy that could undermine his alibi, and the forgotten evidence that may end up sealing his fate. In this episode, Tony Brueski takes you inside the defense's biggest gamble — building an alibi around a cell phone expert, Sy Ray, whose credibility has already been questioned in open court. In a prior case, a judge described Ray's phone-mapping analysis as “a sea of unreliability.” Now, Kohberger's legal team is betting his freedom on that same technology. Could this backfire spectacularly? Or will it be enough to cast reasonable doubt on the state's timeline? We break down how Sy Ray's controversial techniques — once criticized for their lack of scientific rigor — are being reintroduced to explain why Kohberger's phone allegedly wasn't near the murder scene. But with prosecutors armed with months of cell tower data, GPS pings, and digital forensics, the question becomes: is the alibi built on data, or desperation? Then we dig into the unsealed warrant documents that reveal a treasure trove of physical evidence the media barely mentioned — items that paint a far more disturbing picture than the headlines ever did. Investigators recovered: A blood-stained mattress cover, Human and animal hair, A student ID card found in his parents' home, A mysterious handwritten note to his father, Black shoes, vacuum debris, and a mountain of trace evidence. Add to that Kohberger's Amazon purchases, deleted computer files, and surveillance footage — and suddenly, the case doesn't hinge on one knife sheath. It's a mosaic of digital and physical evidence converging on one man. Tony Brueski breaks down what this means for the defense, the prosecution, and the future of high-tech forensics in American trials. Because when expert credibility collapses and overlooked evidence resurfaces, justice becomes a battle not just of facts — but of who the jury believes.

Canicross is exploding across North America, and few people have been more instrumental in that growth than athlete, organizer, and Team USA captain Lizzy Hill. Recorded live at the IFSS Dryland World Championships, this episode dives into what it really takes to compete at the elite level while also helping shape the future of dog-powered sports in the United States.Lizzy discusses running at Worlds with her young dog, Alibi, how she qualified after an injury-filled season, and what it means to help lead the United States Federation of Sled Dog Sports. GH spoilers indicate. Michael's past violent history is brought up, and Chase's dedication to find the truth is causing friction with his wife, Brooklyn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), and his friend, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) supports Chase's investigation, believing that Jacinda is indeed lying to protect Michael. Spoilers for General Hospital allude to the potential political impact of Chase's investigation. If Chase successfully reveals Jacinda's mystery client, not only could he save Willow from a wrongful conviction, but he could also potentially save Laura Webber's (Genie Francis) re-election campaign as mayor of Port Charles. More GH spoilers hint that as Chase delves deeper into the case, it could have repercussions on his friendship with Michael. Is Michael guilty of framing Willow? Or is he just taking advantage of an opportunity? Soap Dirt has grown to the most subscribed to YouTube soap opera channel. Prince Andrew, Duke of York's so-called “Pizza Express alibi” during his 2019 interview about the Virginia Giuffre/Jeffrey Epstein scandal has become one of the most ridiculed moments of his public defence. In the sit-down with Emily Maitlis for the BBC's Newsnight, he stated that on the night Giuffre alleges sexual contact—with her claim involving dancing and sweating at a London nightclub—he was instead at a children's birthday party at a Pizza Express in Woking with his daughter, and then at home.He doubled down by offering another unlikely defence: that due to an “overdose of adrenaline” during his service in the Falklands War he was now incapable of sweating, which in his view invalidated Giuffre's description of him “profusely sweating”. The combination of the chain-restaurant birthday party in Woking and the medical-condition claim struck many as tone-deaf and implausible, contributing heavily to the backlash and the erosion of his credibility in the wider scandal.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Today we're dipping into a popular post-war genre, suspense and noir. The series is The Whistler, one of the leading crime-thriller shows of the era. The story is from June 12, 1949, broadcast over CBS, Perfect Alibi, complete with that Signal Oil sponsorship and the unmistakable voice of Jack Webb before his Dragnet days. We have the original transcription discs of this one, and it's firing on all the proper tropes: a slick private eye named Johnny Seltzer, a dangerous woman named Alice Collins, and a gangster called Frankie Benson. What starts as a clever setup to frame a mobster for murder quickly spirals into a deadly double-cross, ending with The Whistler's signature twist. In this week's Gloria Grahame Acteurist Oeuvre-view episode our heroine reunites with Fritz Lang and Glenn Ford in Human Desire (1954), based on the Zola novel La bête humaine, which was more faithfully filmed by Renoir in 1938. We debate the relative merits of the two adaptations as well as the potential weakness that links them. Then we turn to the quirky little noir Naked Alibi (also 1954, co-starring Sterling Hayden), in which Gloria gets to be the hero against a thoroughly incoherent backdrop to which we apply some scattershot social analysis. Irresponsible opinions galore await the courageous listener! Time Codes: 0h 00m 25s: HUMAN DESIRE (1954) [dir. Fritz Lang] 0h 28m 43s: NAKED ALIBI (1954) [dir. Send us a textBourbon on the brain, bikes in the rack, and a weekend that kept surprising us. We rolled into Lexington aiming for miles and meaningful pours and came away with a signed nine-millionth barrel at Buffalo Trace, a “unicorn” experimental bottle, and a reminder from Freddie Johnson that whiskey is really about the people you share it with. Between double allocation drops and an upstairs tasting lineup featuring Eagle Rare, Blanton's, and Weller 12, we dug into where the bourbon market might be headed—and why more shelves seem to be stocked again. The rides were the quiet kind we love: bluegrass roads, rolling hills, and a pace that felt better than expected after a long recovery. Back at camp, the Bourbon Country Burn offered light dinner and great fireside company, where small experiments—like a coffee liqueur topped with cold cream—turned into conversations about craft and curiosity. A tour at Town Branch raised thoughtful questions about modern production and logistics without spoiling the joy of a well-made pour. And thanks to Phil Talks Whiskey, we explored export-only bottles, from Japanese Blanton's to a Four Roses variant you won't find stateside, widening our palate and perspective.Along the way we met listeners who became friends, traded stories about riding, parenting, and the right moment to open a special bottle, and even squeezed in a bonus Sunday ride before the long drive home (complete with a highway standstill and some strategic humor). We wrapped with a label-worthy Jay Mattingly pick—oak-stave finished and full of character—because sometimes a bottle is a bookmark for a weekend you don't want to forget. If you're into cycling routes through Kentucky, bourbon culture, Buffalo Trace lore, and campfire community, this one's for you. Hit follow, share it with a friend who loves bikes or bottles, and drop us a note with your favorite ride-and-rye pairing. The Broken TV Alibi: Was Wendy Adelson Setting the Stage For Murder? It's one of the strangest details in the Dan Markel case: a broken television that just happened to become part of Wendy Adelson's alibi. In this segment of Hidden Killers with Tony Brueski, the team unpacks Jeff LaCasse' testimony about visiting Wendy's home, only to discover her TV was mysteriously shattered. At first glance, it might seem like a household accident — but the timing, the context, and the surrounding testimony suggest something far more sinister. Charlie Adelson's dark joke that buying a TV was “cheaper than hiring a hitman” adds an eerie layer of foreshadowing. Add to that a Geek Squad repair appointment allegedly arranged by Donna Adelson, and the entire broken-TV narrative begins to look less like coincidence and more like stagecraft. Tony and the panel explore how small, seemingly random events can take on disturbing significance when placed under the microscope of a murder trial. Could this broken television have been part of a carefully manufactured alibi? Was it a way to distract investigators and provide cover at the exact time Dan Markel was gunned down? This segment offers an unsettling look at how far the Adelsons may have gone to cover their tracks.
