This week I follow on from my interview with Bruce Klein and analyze the dream that changed his life. It's an elaborate dream with pickup trucks blocking hallways, phones falling into lakes, silver rings and so much more. Do you remember Alta Vista? Well John does and in his dream Alta Vista is getting displaced by Google. What does a search engine upgrade mean in a dream? For that matter, what does a search engine mean? Listen to find out. John Sermon Series: The Woman at the well - John 4:1-5
The Woman at the Well (John 4:1-26) by Harvest Church
They say Black women will change your life. I'm not sure John Walker having an existential crisis after the Dora Milaje whooped his ass is what folks had in mind with that saying but damn if it ain't true. Sam and Bucky knew they ain't want no trouble with Ayo or the Dora Milaje but John Walker's ass needed to be handed to him for him to understand that just because he has the title and shield of Captain America, he can still catch them hands. Episode 4 really solidifies why Sam is the one Steve gave the shield to and why he's the one that needs to carry. And not just because Walker got caught in 4K murdering someone with the shield. This episode also went back to lean on how we first met Sam. That he's worked with veterans that suffer from PTSD and that he can sympathize with Karli cause and motives but not her methods. The fact that his first instinct is to try to talk to her and sympathize instead of just dismissing her concerns and cause like John felt very Steve Rogers. It was also great how this episode showed Sam as the only one who would turn down the serum because he knows he doesn't need it to be a hero. Karli felt she needed the serum and to give it to more people because that power would finally make those in power take her demands seriously. While sympathetic, it's a flawed position. And John? Well John thinks the only thing keeping him from getting the respect Steve had is the serum, not realizing he doesn't have any of Steve's character. These episodes continue to get better. We've also officially reached the territory where we're sad that there are only 2 more episodes left. Marvel has really hit us hard with their first two Disney+ series and if they keep this up, the sky is the limit. Like what you hear? Subscribe so you don't miss an episode! A doubting Thomas is a skeptic who refuses to believe without direct personal experience a reference to the Apostle Thomas, who refused to believe that resurrected JESUS HAD APPEARED TO THE TEN OTHER APOSTLES UNTIL HE COULD SEE AND FEEL THE WOUNDS. Scripture Taken From The NIV Bible John Chapter 20.
Hypothetically, if you were dared to eat a deathly chilli pickle would you continue to eat the whole jar at your own behest? No? Well John did, and the words 'reaping' and 'sowing' now spring to mind.

Casey and Bonnie have a heart to heart on the topic of abortion. They begin by sharing their experiences with abortion, planned parenthood, anti-choice protestors and sexuality education. Casey shares his mom’s story. Bonnie shares her own. Co-hosts take an incredulous look back in time at the attitudes about abortion they inherited from their formative evangelical and fundamentalist Christian communities. Bonnie and Casey consider the opportunistic way the oppressive forces of male supremacy and patriarchy infused with American evangelical Christianity after Roe v. Wade. Using biblical references, co-hosts propose a basic moral framework to ground an actual “pro-life” stance rather than an “anti-choice” stance when deciding whether or not to continue a pregnancy. Bonnie insists that it is safe for society to trust women with their own uteruses. Casey agrees. To close the episode, co-hosts lament the legacy of shame so many women who chose abortion continue to live with. 14 but if anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will never thirst again and will be forever satisfied! For when you drink the water I give you it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, springing up and flooding you with endless life!”John 4:14 The Passion Translation 13-14 Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks this water will get thirsty again and again. Travel weary a little tattered around the edges at best. Almost comatose and holding deep wounds at worst. For some this well is our first line of defense, for others it our last resort. And so we walk in slowly to the clearing, where this particular well stands. There is something different about this well. Something that feels like home. Slide up close to the edge of this well and listen carefully You might be able to hear the stream that feeds this source of nourishment. Listen closer and you might hear the Everlasting feeding it with the soft but fierce declarations... I see you. I cherish you. I forgive you. I delight in you. Here drink this cup... I see you. I cherish you. I forgive you. I delight in you. Drink again and again You will find refreshment and rest here. You will find as you leave this place for the day with your canteen full that what’s required of you is pleasant and easy to bear. Kimberly Mervyn Living Water Beyond the confines of the mind lies a stream of living water It winds its way slowly ever onward moving forward leaving nothing behind taking nothing at the same time Free to be as it is free to run free to pause and slow down free to overflow free to hold This water is cleansing renewing refreshing this water is everything you need The flow of life the rhythm of love generously flowing growing, going beyond The Sound of the current beckons A whisper running, humming calling your name Step into the water allow it to pull you under and begin to find your breath Enter into the flow of the unknown and you will be set free. In today's reading, Jesus comes into contact with someone that is the ultimate outsider. In chapter 3 we met Nicodemus who was the ultimate insider and he did not understand the new birth. In John 4 the Samaritan woman, the outsider, understands the mission of Jesus and is transformed by her encounter. Jesus comes to give 'living water' which is the Holy Spirit.
Welcome to Growing in His Word Podcast where pastor and bible teacher Joseph teaches verse-by-verse and lets The Holy Spirit guide. Jesus calls the Samaritan woman to be filled with His spiritual water, which we can partake in today! The woman at the well got forgiveness in her heart, today we have forgiveness in our own hearts. Jesus is calling our husbands and wives to forgive each other and move on. Tune in with Pastor Joseph on Grow in His word Podcast and make sure to subscribe.
Some say "showing up is half the battle," but to John Balkam, showing up is just the starting line. From pursuing his passion for sports, to starting a company, to publishing his first book,"3-Win Sponsorship: The Next Generation of Sports and Entertainment Marketing," John has pivoted and persevered by putting himself in the room and in the way of opportunity, and following up with the people he meets along the way. He opens up about his struggle with mental health and shares advice for taking life in stride and betting on yourself.

The Boys are at it again, and there are a lot of NBA storylines for John to overreact to! Is Kyrie the worst point guard in the NBA, should the Rockets trade Westbrook now, does LeBron need to shave his head and get it over with already? Well John thinks so, and he's a thinking breathing person or at least one of those things. The NFL is at the point where fan bases are starting to give up on the season, but we never give up! We will be here to discuss the abysmal failure of all your teams, right up until the prolonged end! Take a listen and enjoy!
Does your past mistakes ever keep you up at night? Yeah, me too. This episode goes over a few key steps we can take in forgiving ourselves for who we once were. We'll also discuss "The Woman at the Well" (John 4), as well as the importance of where we place our identity. Music: YouTube Free Music; "Summer Love", The 126ers.
