In this week's episode of BFGE, the ladies enjoy pre-show cocktails before they tuck into J. Michael Muro's “democratically offensive” horror-comedy, Street Trash: a film in which a group of vagabonds living in a Brooklyn junkyard falls prey to Tenafly Viper—$1 booze that's gone bad and turns anyone who drinks it into a technicolor puddle of slime. Also in this episode:Sarah reveals why she loves living next to the toxic Meeker Avenue Plumes.Emma pontificates about the Vietnam War, a war in which she bravely fought, vicariously, by taking a single graduate-level seminar. The ladies taste test the closest booze to Tenafly Viper they could find: Richard's Wild Irish Rose, a fortified wine that comes with its own entourage of clinically depressed fruit flies. Tune in to see if Sarah & Emma turn into fluorescent purple GOO after drinking it.Watch along (currently free on Tubi) & melt with us!

We are once again caught in one of those stretches where there is nothing really going on. Oh sure, it's National Frozen Food Day and Corn Dog Day and March is National Nutrition Month PLUS International Womens Day is coming up and the primary elections are going on, but there just isn't anything exciting happening. Do you think Matt-Man and Jayman are going to let that stop them? Hell no! If the universe is only going to give us frozen foods, corn dogs, hot babes and politics then that's what we're gonna work with. We're professionals and we can make fun of anythign and anyone at anytime. Kind of. Anyway we'll make this work if it kills us. So what to make of this wild and wacky primary season? Is Trump a raging racist? Is he going to destroy America? Is Hillary going to be indicted before or after the Democratic Convention? Is Ted Cruz Richard Nixon reincarnated? Or is he just a really smarmy scumbag? We'll break it all down while also talking about our favorite frozen foods (PIZZA!!) and corn dogs. Maybe we'll wash that food down with something cold and delicious too. Also, has Matt-Man's love affair with Wild Irish Rose come to an end? Damn, now it's looking like we won't have enough time to get it all in! Be sure to join Matt-Man, Jayman, our Canadian Bureau Chief Jamie Mapleaf and the IWS Players as we try to choose to chance the rapids and dare to dance the tides of internet radio and take YOUR CALLS @ 661.244.9852!
It's that time of year once again. We are only a few days away from another St. Patrick's Day, and that means green beer and green drink concoctions will be on the menu once again. This is one of the few times of the year you will see me recommend WIR as a bum wine of choice, so you better take the time to enjoy it!Grab a bottle of your favorite Wild Irish Rose flavor and join us for another edition of the BWB Podcast! What was named Forty Of The Week? Maybe we have a special Bum Wine Of The Week in the works for you? Make sure you tune in and find out!Want to be part of the show? The phone lines will be open and you are welcome to call in at 347-826-9598 to join in the discussion. Cheers!
Food Talk with Mike Colameco is brought to you by the following generous underwriters: This week on Food Talk with Michael Colameco, host Mike Colameco first welcomes Steve Train, Maine Lobster Fisherman and Captain of the Wild Irish Rose and Ben Pollinger, Executive Chef at Oceana. Talking about Steve’s family history as fisherman, he reveals that his family has been in the business for many years. He goes on to give Mike a glimpse of a day in the life of a lobster fisherman, including the baiting process, seasonality of lobster, and deciphering between legally fit lobsters to catch and those that are either not big enough or are proven breeders. Ben adds how Oceana uses lobster and his thoughts on the popularity of the dish and why he’s exclusively used Maine lobster for years and what makes this lobster so special. In the second half of the show, Mike brings on Michelle DeFeo, CEO of Laurent-Perrier Champaign USA who kicks off the segment pointing out the differences between champaign and sparkling wine before delving into a detailed run down of the involved champaign-making process. Tune in for a great show! “I think Maine lobster is the best on the market… I don’t think Maine lobster has any competition.” [17:25] —Steve Train on Food Talk “I’ve been using exclusively Maine lobster for over five and a half years now because it’s got great flavor, is consistent in quality and its a fantastic product.” [19:50] —Ben Pollinger on Food Talk “Consistency is extremely important in champaign.” [47:30] —Michelle DeFeo on Food Talk
