Election excitement, Highland Hydro and W.I.N.E on to a winner~   Listeners in the UK may have seen there was a small political announcement this week... Rishi Sunak announced a general election will be held this summer.   Ed shares his excitement for hitting the polling stations on 4 July as the trio discusses what this means for the energy sector. Labour has outlined plans for no new oil and gas licences as the Tories pushed back the end date for the controversial windfall tax. Will UK energy firms be forced to pick the best of a bad bunch?   Next up Erikka makes her podcast debut from the Highlands as she has a look around a pumped storage hydro at Loch Ness. With scoping reports submitted the question on everybody's mind is 'how will this impact Nessie?'   Finally, Ryan has been chatting with Women In New Energy (W.I.N.E) co-founder Annabel Sall as the event is set to return later this year. Promoting diversity across the industry is important in solving the engineering challenges the UK faces as it transitions to cleaner technologies and W.I.N.E is looking to capitalise on last year's success by encouraging more women into the sector.

‘A man cannot become a woman.' and ‘'not all women have vaginas' : This has been the rhetoric and a matter of controversy in the past few days in the United Kingdom and Scotland. So, what's the matter on this divided issue on LGBTQ+ rights and reforms.? The Scottish government wants to pass a Bill that would allow trans people to self-identify their gender without medical or legal documents. But this has been vetoed by the UK govt. But, interestingly, other countries including Ireland, Denmark, have also approved a similar bill last month. Why is it that the Sunak government is insistent on blocking it? Is it trying to use the issue to distract from domestic problems? And the decision to block the bill comes barely two months after the UK Supreme Court blocked efforts by Scotland to hold a new independence referendum. Will UK's opposition to this bill reignite the debate of Scottish independence? Geeta Mohan and Anna Priyadarshini discuss! Tune in!

Let’s first hear from him and Senior editor Emma Wall who discussed this topic and the Morningstar investment conference in London.   But what if Brexit does happen? Is it time to Hold Cash and Prepare for a Market Crash? The third longest bull market in US equities coupled with "extraordinary" intervention in financial asset markets by central banks spells recession says Sanditon's Chris Rice up next. When Does Market Volatility Matter to Your Investment Portfolio Long-term investors should embrace volatility, says Morningstar Investment Management's Dan Kemp - as it offers opportunities not risk.
