Dr. Jordon GilmoreGetting Into Spiritual ShapeJust as physical fitness requires intentional exercise, good nutrition, rest, and consistency, our spiritual lives require training too. In this message, Jordon challenges us to consider an important question: Are we spiritually fit enough to handle what God has called us to do?Key Scriptures:1 Corinthians 9:24–27Matthew 17:18–21Daniel 1:8, 12–15Proverbs 4:23Psalm 37:7Romans 12:1–2Hebrews 10:36–39Exercise RegularlyPaul compares the Christian life to an athlete training for a race. Athletes don't become prepared when the competition begins—they train beforehand. The same is true spiritually. In Matthew 17, the disciples encountered a situation they weren't spiritually prepared to handle. Jesus explained that this kind required prayer and fasting. They couldn't wait until the crisis arrived to begin preparing.Prayer, worship, studying the Word, meditation, fasting, and fellowship aren't just things we turn to during emergencies. They are spiritual exercises that should become regular disciplines.Consistency means doing what strengthens us even when we don't feel like doing it.Stick to Your DietWhat we consume affects our spiritual health.Daniel made a deliberate decision not to defile himself with the king's food. Instead, he chose what would strengthen him. Likewise, we need to pay attention to what we're allowing into our hearts and minds.God's Word, worship, wise counsel, and healthy fellowship nourish us spiritually. Gossip, toxic relationships, harmful entertainment, and other negative influences can weaken us.Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our hearts diligently because the issues of life flow from them.Ask yourself: Is what I'm consuming helping me become spiritually stronger?Get Your RestSpiritual fitness isn't only about doing more. We also need to learn how to rest in God.Psalm 37:7 says, “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.”Resting in God means trusting Him enough that we don't have to carry everything ourselves. Just as a chair supports our physical weight, God is able to support us. We don't have to have every answer or force every solution. We can trust, wait, and depend on Him.Keep Your Eye on the PrizeTrue fitness comes from a lifestyle, not a temporary burst of effort. Our spiritual lives shouldn't revolve around crises—praying desperately when something goes wrong and then drifting back into old habits.Romans 12 teaches us that transformation happens through the renewing of our minds. That transformation is a process.Read a little today. Pray today. Worship today. Make one spiritually healthy decision today. Over time, those decisions change how we think, speak, respond, and live.Hebrews 10:36 reminds us: “You have need of endurance.”Spiritual maturity is a marathon, not a sprint. We may not be where we want to be yet, but we can train for where God wants us to go.This week, look for opportunities to get stronger: exercise spiritually, guard your spiritual diet, rest in God, and consistently keep your eyes on the eternal prize.

Biggest Mediation Mistakes to Avoid:After decades on the bench, retired Judge Michele Lowrance has seen firsthand what truly destroys families during divorce—and it isn't always what you think.Don't miss out on the $50 Divorce Crash CourseIn this powerful episode of How Not to Suck at Divorce, Andrea Rappaport and Morgan L. Stogsdill sit down with the Honorable Michele Lowrance, retired domestic relations judge, nationally recognized mediator, author of The Good Karma Divorce, and one of the leading voices in family law and divorce mediation. Together, they explore why mediation is often a better path than litigation, what happens to families when conflict escalates into court battles, and how parents can protect their children while navigating one of life's most painful transitions.Judge Lowrance shares the science behind emotional decision-making, the impact of divorce conflict on children, why the right mediator can make or break your case, and how even high-conflict couples can find a path toward resolution. If you're preparing for mediation, considering litigation, or simply trying to make better decisions during your divorce, this episode is a must-listen.In This Episode, We Discuss:Why mediation is often a better alternative to courtroom litigationWhat happens to children when parents remain locked in conflictThe emotional and neurological impact of divorceHow fear, anger, and grief affect decision-makingWhy good people struggle during mediationThe critical role of the mediatorHow to choose the right mediator for your divorceWhat to expect from the first mediation sessionWhy high-conflict divorces can still benefit from mediationHow to move from emotional reactions to thoughtful decisionsThe concept behind The Good Karma DivorceKey Takeaways✔️ Divorce decisions made from anger often create long-term damage✔️ Mediation allows families to move toward acceptance rather than remaining stuck in conflict✔️ The right mediator should challenge, guide, and creatively problem-solve—not simply carry offers back and forth✔️ Children are deeply affected by ongoing parental conflict✔️ Emotional regulation is one of the most important skills during divorce✔️ The first mediation offers are often difficult—but that doesn't mean mediation isn't working✔️ You won't always feel the same way about your ex that you do today✔️ Keeping your focus on the future can help you make better decisions nowThree Action Steps from Michele Lowrance1. Keep Your Eye on the Finish, Not the FailureIn this week's Sermon on the Mount message, Pastor Jason explores Jesus' teaching on lust, temptation, and the condition of the heart in Matthew 5. This message is not about legalism or simply modifying outward behavior, but about true inward transformation through the Kingdom of God. Jesus challenges us to consider what our eyes and hearts are focused on, reminding us that sin begins internally long before it becomes an outward action. Through wisdom, grace, and honesty, this message unpacks the progression of temptation, the dangers of feeding lust, and the importance of avoiding temptation rather than seeing how close we can get to it. Ultimately, Jesus reveals that the deeper issue is not just what we do, but who we are becoming at the soul level.Messages, teaching and encouragement from Pneuma Life Church pastors and leaders! I have bumbled my way through life with a reasonable degree of success, I think.Especially when you consider the number of people who have patted me on my head and told me that I didn't need to understand what they were talking about because they would happily, “do all of those difficult things” for me if I would just hand them the checkbook and the keys.I never did that, of course.Head-patters are always convinced that I am a fool-child from Oklahoma because I never bother with a written plan, a budget, or a timetable for major undertakings. But somehow, they always turn out okay. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:When Pennie and I began filling 21 acres in Austin, Texas with large, complicated, and expensive buildings, I was asked at least once a day,“How long will it take to build all of this, and how much will it cost?”I always answered with the truth,“It will take as long as it takes, and it will cost what it costs.”That answer really alarmed people.I didn't say it to be shocking or cute. I said it because I honestly didn't know and I genuinely didn't care. When you don't borrow money, you can take as long as you want to do whatever you are doing. Rarely did Pennie and I have the money to do the things that we chose to do, but we knew that the money would find us.That attitude drove people crazy. They were absolutely certain that we would utterly fail because I didn't have a detailed plan.I'm not suggesting that other people should reject written plans. Other people can do whatever they want. But so can I.Planning is somethingI have never hated,But I do believeit is overrated.I cannot,(but maybe you can)remember whenthere was a planthat let you sailthe river ofyour dreamwithoutchanging coursein mid-stream.Planning is areligion theoretical.Yes, I am certainlyspeaking heretical, but I am dependingupon your receptivitywhen I say that I preferEnergy and Activity. But now I am gettingahead of myselfwhich happens when youleave the plan on a shelfand rely on your Commitmentto an Outcome agreed-uponand not some soggy paperthat Circumstances peed upon.Commitment and Creativity. That's my plan.Plus Energy and Activityand a frying panbecause a good breakfast, you will remember,is essential to Christmas Elvesin late December.Commitmentand Creativity.Energy and Activities.Keep your eyeon the star stationaryand do whateveryou think is necessary. And never forgetthat in your handyou carry a cast ironfrying pan.Roy H. Gold and silver are in the midst of a significant price correction, and with all of the volatility in the markets, it's important to keep your eye on the ball. By "the ball," we mean the underlying fundamental market dynamics and the trajectory of the economy. In this episode of the Money Metals' Midweek Memo, host Mike Maharrey digs beneath the recent silver and gold price movements and speculates that there may be more to the recent selloff than just nervous investors worried about an overbought market. It could signal significant strain in the financial system. Along the way, he covers two stories that aren't getting much play in the mainstream financial media - the massive budget deficit and a recent monetary policy announcement by the Federal Reserve.

We're excited to be rereleasing some of our favorite episodes this summer! Before we jump into Season 5, join us to review some of the most popular episodes that you may have missed. We're starting today with 2.12. In this episode, we're diving into handwriting. Even for those who do not have difficulty, handwriting in the early years is essential. When students have not yet reached automaticity or legibility in letter formation, it taxes their working memory and places a higher demand on cognitive resources. We want to look at how we can free up some of those cognitive demands. Effective handwriting practice will lead to stronger spelling, reading, and writing performance. Tune in as we discuss the role handwriting should have in our classrooms as well as the importance and some of the benefits of cursive handwriting! We'll also look at the developmental stages, offer some teaching tips, and share the most beneficial handwriting resources we've used over the years! Mary welcomes back Jim Fletcher to discuss the growing malevolent force of Jew hatred around the world, particularly in Europe. The walls are closing in on the Jewish people and the level of hate is astonishing. There seems no possibility of stemming the tide either, so since it will only increase, how late is it? What is the end game? We look at systemic antisemitism that is as old as time, so we should not be surprised but in the modern era, are we really unable to police the hate in the hearts of humans? Not in these times, is my conclusion. And unfortunately, it appears the church has taken their eye off the ball on this. We look at the seriousness of this and other observations about the current headlines regarding Israel. Jim is an Israel expert, regarding their history, their current state, the church, and what is to come. A sobering but essential talk on what is really going on around the world with God's chosen people.
