Send us a textFor many people, the words "Jesus is coming again" do not bring comfort. They bring anxiety. Fear-filled sermons, end-times charts, and bad theology have left some believers uneasy, confused, or even wounded. But that's not how the Bible ends.In Revelation 22:20, Jesus' final promise is not meant to terrify us; it is meant to give hope. The early Church did not dread Christ's return; they longed for it. So why do so many of us struggle to feel the same way?We take a gentle, honest look at the last words of Scripture and rediscover the heart of Jesus behind them. This message sets aside speculation and fear to focus on relationship, trust, and hope. If you have ever felt uneasy about the Second Coming, or if end-times teaching has caused more harm than healing, this message is for you.Because when we truly know the One who is coming, fear gives way to hope, and our hearts can finally say, "Come, Lord Jesus."Linkoln shares his story on why he started coming to Ravenna Church of the Nazarene and shares why you should consider doing the same.Ravenna Church of the Nazarene530 Main Street, Ravenna, KY 40472Support the showThe Dirt Path Sermon Podcast is a place for real sermons that speak to real life. Jesus is King of Kings—but is He your King?
God has written a great story, and we are right in the middle of it. The middle is not an easy place to be. There are antichrists all around us and the spirit of antichrist is at work in this world. And even more, an Antichrist is coming. In this sermon we are encouraged to remember, it's still God's story and He is the author. Rescue is coming! Jesus is going to return! The question is are we ready for that return? Speaker: Minister & Lead Pastor, Tom Olsson Passage: 1 John 2:28-29 This was recorded live in Grand Rapids, MI on October 26, 2025

Congratulations, you have made it to the last day of the Bible in a Year journey! Fr. Mike concludes our journey through the Bible by reflecting on the promise of a new heaven and a new earth in Revelation 21. It is this profound promise that reassures us that Christ is the beginning and the end, the one who makes all things new, the one who wipes away every tear, the one who conquers death, and the only one who offers us everlasting life, a life without end. Today's readings are Revelation 21-22, Hebrews 11-13, and Proverbs 31:30-31. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/bibleinayear. Please note: The Bible contains adult themes that may not be suitable for children - parental discretion is advised.
When we pray for God's Kingdom to come and God's will to be done, we are asking for the final coming of the reign of God and for his plan of salvation to come to fruition. This petition is most powerfully expressed in the Mass. Fr. Mike reminds us that anticipating Christ's return should inflame our hearts to continue our mission here on earth and to carry out God's will with perseverance. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 2816-2827. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB. “But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” —Matthew 24:36. The season of Advent is a time of anticipation and waiting. Advent comes from the Latin “adventus” which means “coming” or “arrival.” In Advent, we wait for the birth of the Christ child. Yet theologians talk about three advents: the birth of Jesus at Christmas, the arrival of the Holy Spirit, and the second coming of Jesus. We will explore these three advents even as we wait to celebrate the baby born in Bethlehem. Today's scripture reading is Matthew 24:36-44.
