Tonight's guest, Roger Williams, host of the popular Squatchin' Holler Podcast, grew up spending countless hours in the woods. A large part of what he knows about the woods is due, in large part, to the things his dad taught him when he was a kid. Due to how much he thought he knew about the woods, Roger used to love venturing deep into the woods any chance he got. Then, one day, he had an experience that changed all that. After having that experience, his view of the woods, and how safe he was in them, changed so much, he stopped doing a lot of the things in the woods he used to do without a second thought. He's interested in general paranormal phenomena, but the Sasquatch phenomenon is the most interesting to him. Tonight's guest, Brian Minnick, is a Sasquatch researcher who has been visiting Camp Hero, in Montauk, New York, since 1988, when he was 11. Camp Hero is a military base that's best known for being the inspiration for the hit show, Stranger Things. A lot of strange things have happened on the grounds, Camp Hero and around them, including Sasquatch activity. In 1981, Camp Hero was decommissioned, and it remained abandoned for 20 years, until it was turned into a state park. It's been said that the base was abandoned due to it being destroyed by a beast that was unleashed when a portal to another dimension was opened, due to a clandestine experiment. Not being one to pass up on an opportunity for adventure, Brian made countless trips to Camp Hero, to explore the grounds and see if he could find any evidence supporting that claim. When he had his first sighting, just south of Fort Nelson, British Columbia, he didn't realize what it was that he was looking at. He thought it must have been a bear, until it stood up and leapt toward his truck. After it did that, he knew it wasn't a bear but wasn't sure what it actually was. In 2020, when he had his second sighting, he was driving north, toward Meziadin Junction, BC, when he saw another one cross the road. Tonight's first guest had two Sasquatch sightings in Lincoln County, Kentucky, about 7 years ago, while he was on a property he was renting from his uncle. When he was growing up, that was the same property that his family used to host several family reunions. One of the peculiar things about the property he remembers is how strange the property always felt. When he, his sister, and cousins, would play in the woods on the property, as kids, they frequently felt like they were being watched. They didn't understand why they always felt that way, back then, but it makes good sense now. Clarity came one night when his girlfriend woke him up, crying. She told him that something was outside, and that's what had her so upset. What happened next is something tonight's first guest still gets unpleasant feelings when he talks about it. We hope you'll tune in and listen to him chronicle what happened that night.Tonight's second guest had his Sasquatch sighting in Allegan County, Michigan. He was deer hunting, at the time. After getting to his stand that day, he noticed a lack of ambient noise, in his part of the woods. Although he found it strange, he brushed it off as just being one of those things. Later on in the day, he got out his binoculars and started glassing the area around his stand. When he did that, he saw a nice buck a fairly short distance from him. So, he climbed down from his stand and attempted to stalk the buck. Not long after trying to stalk the buck, he got the feeling he was being watched. Moments later, he realized why he had that feeling. In 2010, tonight's guest, Ashlea Stinnett, moved into a house that was located just off the Columbia River Gorge, in Oregon, with her partner. The house was on a hill, so Ashlea had a good view of the Columbia River. Not long after moving in, Ashlea and her partner started to have UFO sightings, while sitting on their two-story deck. Those UFO sightings piqued her interest in paranormal phenomena in the Pacific Northwest. Not long after researching such phenomena there, in the PNW, she discovered the rich history of Sasquatch sightings. That discovery lead her to meeting people who were well versed, when it came to Sasquatch. When tonight's guest had her first Bigfoot sighting, she was only 6 or 7 years old. She was on a field trip, with other kids whose fathers worked in the forestry industry, just like her father did, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The plan was that the kids would be taken out to where their fathers were working in the forest. While they were there, they would have a barbeque for lunch. After the kids had boarded the work bus, that was going to take them to where their fathers were working, they got underway. After driving down a highway for some distance, the finally turned off onto a logging road and began to climb a hill. She was sitting by herself, on a seat that was on the passenger side of the bus, looking out the window at the trees going by. All of a sudden, she saw what looked like a hairy man standing beside a tree, at the bottom of the hill the bus was climbing. Tonight's guest, Justin Pladsen, was born and raised in Vinton, Iowa. Vinton is a quiet, little farm town that's ideal for raising a family. When Justin was growing up there, he got into a lot of the things boys did in Vinton back then. One of the things he liked doing, more than anything, was running around town with his buddies, Mark, Tom, and Charlie. On June 7th of 1993, he and his buddies decided that they wanted to go tubing down a creek called Mud Creek, that's just east of Vinton. They planned to source the inner tubes at a local Firestone tire shop. When Justin told his dad about his plans to go tubing down the creek, at dinner one evening, his dad made it clear to him that he wasn't allowed to do that. It was too dangerous. Being an 11-year-old boy, his dad's words went in one ear and out the other. He went tubing the next day, with his buddies, anyway. That was a decision he came to regret. He and his friends came very close to dying the next day. Less than 24 hours after being told by his dad that he couldn't go, Justin was running as fast as he could, through the woods, trying to get away from a Sasquatch that was coming after him. What happened that day? What lead up to Justin running for his life? One of the strange things about her family's property was the fact that while their house seemed to be so remote, it wasn't. It was just off one of the busiest roads in Erie. There was a shopping mall right across the street her family's property too. Even though that was the case, the forest that surround her family's house seemed to be almost magical. When Josie and her siblings would play and explore in the forest around their home, they found all sorts of creatures they didn't expect to find. Tonight's first guest, Steve, had his first Sasquatch sighting in 1975, while he was stationed at Fort Polk, in Louisiana. His first sighting didn't happen on the base, though. It happened at the farm his girlfriend's family owned, about 4 1/2 hours away, 10 to 15 miles from Camden, Arkansas. Her family's farm was 250 acres in size, and very remote. The closest neighboring house was about a mile away. He had weekends off, so he had decided to go spend the weekend with her when the encounter happened. Steve got along well with her father, so he'd help her father do various chores around the farm. About 9 PM, on the Friday he'd gone to the farm, his girlfriend's grandmother screamed because she'd seen a Sasquatch that had been hanging around the property. All of the men, in the house, jumped into action, including Steve. They all grabbed guns and poured out of the house to try to deal with the problem. Steve didn't know what his girlfriend's grandmother had seen. He just wanted to help his girlfriend's family deal with whatever it was that had frightened her grandmother so much. Moments later, Steve's view of how the world and everything in it worked was shattered. That's because he found himself just 25 feet from a creature that wasn't supposed to exist. What happened that night left Steve forever changed. He'll never be the same.Tonight's second guest, Mark Blank, had his sighting on the 28th of December, in 2023. He was driving north, on Route 87, through Colorado, at the time. He was heading north to visit a friend who lives in Northern Idaho, to help him build his new home. Mark expected to see some interesting things, but he never expected to see what became the highlight of his trip. After having that sighting, he's been a hardcore Bigfoot enthusiast. In the summer of 1983, tonight's guest, Todd Tidwell, was 14 years old. One day that summer, to cool off, he decided to head down to a river that was about a mile from his house. To get to the part of the river that he wanted to wade into, he had to walk past a mobile home that the caretaker of the property he had to cross lived in. The caretaker had a 5-year-old son that walked up to Todd and gave him an ominous warning, when he saw that Todd was planning to head down to the riverbank, not far from the mobile home where the little boy lived. The little boy told Todd not to go down to the river because there were monsters over there. When the little boy told Todd that, he laughed and continued on, down to the river. 30 minutes later, Todd was banging on the wall of that little boy's mobile home, begging and pleading to be let in. You see, at the time, he and his family lived in Troutdale, Virginia, in a home that was perched on the side of a mountain. Neighbors were very few and far between and their home was surrounded by a national forest, so the area was a perfect habitat for Sasquatch. One night, when he got up to answer a call from nature, he tried looking out one of the windows, but he couldn't see anything outside. At first, that threw Andy for a loop. Tonight's guest, Harold Milam, lives in North Central Oklahoma and has been studying Sasquatch and Dogmen for about 3 years now. In the time he's been studying cryptids, he's had some exhilarating experiences, but none of those experiences rival the intensity of an encounter he had on Halloween night of 2012. When he had that encounter, a 7-foot-tall Type-3 Dogman and a 9-foot-tall Sasquatch walked right up to him, to be within grabbing distance. Tonight's guest, Neal, from BigfootTalk.com, grew up on a 77-acre property in Georgia. Starting at a very young age, he would steal away into the woods, around his family's property. One of the things he loved to do, back then, was to go to an overlook and watch the wildlife in the valleys below him. Fast forward. When Neal and his wife were looking for a property to call home, his wife knew about his desire to buy a property with acreage, so she started looking for a property, like that, that would sate his desire to interact with wildlife. Close to 10 years after they moved to the new property, Neal started to notice strange things that were happening there that weren't easy for him to explain. Finally, he came to realize that something with hands was visiting his property and doing those things. After doing several tests, in an attempt to try to identify who or what he was dealing with, he came to a stunning realization. Tonight's guest, Tracey, grew up in Oklahoma. He moved there with his mother and siblings when he was four years old after his parents divorced. Not long after moving there, Tracey's mother met another man she married when Tracey was 6. Tracey's stepdad had parents who owned a 125-acre farm in Northern Oklahoma, and Tracey spent a lot of time there. Their farm was an amazing place for a little boy like Tracey, who loved to explore and seek out new adventures. As fate would have it, one day, while Tracey and his big brother were down in a ravine on the farm, Tracey had his first Sasquatch sighting. The grey Sasquatch the boys saw never tried to harm them, but the experience still left quite the impression on them, and understandably so. Little did Tracey know at the time that was just the first of four encounters he would have with Sasquatch.
