Brook grew up on a 13-acre game farm, in Lumpkin County, Georgia. Her father raised chickens there. For years, she lived a normal life there, playing hide and seek with friends, in the woods and having a good time. One night, though, when she was 7 or 8, she found out that she didn't know the woods around the farm as well as she thought she did. Those woods held a secret and she was about to get an education. That was far from the only Bigfoot encounter Brook has had. Many more were to follow. We hope you'll tune in and listen to her talk about them.If you've had a Bigfoot sighting and would like to be a guest, on the show, please go to https://MyBigfootSighting.com and let us know. If you listened to last week's show, you heard M.T. talk about a few of the Sasquatch encounters he's had, including the time he was 10 feet from a huge, 12 foot tall male. Well, we didn't have enough time for M.T. to share all of his encounters last week, so he's agreed to come back and share his other sightings and encounters with you. We hope you'll tune in and listen to him share these other encounters.Did you know that I'm now producing another Bigfoot podcast? it's called "My Bigfoot Sighting." What makes My Bigfoot Sighting a different kind of Bigfoot podcast is the fact that all of the sightings and encounters are delivered 1st-hand, by the eyewitnesses who experienced the sightings and encounters. Also, there's no host. That means, you'll never hear any questions asked. You also won't hear any small talk and you won't hear any chatter. My Bigfoot Sighting is nothing but sighting after sighting, with no fluff. I think you'll like it that way. To give you a feel for what the show is like, I'm going to post a sample episode, here, on the Bigfoot Eyewitness Radio Channel. I'm going to post My Bigfoot Sighting Episode 2 (part 2), after I post tonight's show.If you'd like to check out my new Bigfoot show, called "My Bigfoot Sighting," there are two ways to listen. We are delighted to have legendary director Christopher Smith on this weeks episode. He has been a firm favorite of host Giles Alderson who has wanted him as guest since the start and finally he is here to talk about his latest gripping film The Banishing. Joining Giles as co host is fellow director Christian James as they discuss Chris’ journey to becoming a filmmaker. His first brilliant film Creep and how he met producer Jason Newmark who has since been a team with him pretty much all his journey as a filmmaker. We also chat about pitching and personality, what he has learned as a director and agents and managers. We discuss working on set, why it is important to create a great vibe for actors and crew and why sometimes you have to lay down the law! In 2004 Christopher Smith wrote and directed the nasty shocker CREEP, putting Franka Potente (Run Lola Run) front and centre as a woman stuck in the tunnels of the London Underground, pursued by something you really wouldn’t want to meet in the dark. Run Franka, run! Smith hit the ground running with his 2006 pitch-black horror comedy SEVERANCE, about a team-building excursion that goes horribly, dreadfully wrong. Featuring a talking decapitated head, Danny Dyer on superb wideboy form, women blasting machine guns and one of the cheekiest pay-off lines in cinema history, this was a brilliant mix of the horrifying and hilarious that had audiences howling in delight. In 2009 Smith went out to sea for the thrilling TRIANGLE, with Melissa George (The Slap) trapped in a hellish time loop on an abandoned boat, pursued by a hooded figure with a bloody axe. Nightmarish, gripping and intense, TRIANGLE showed Smith exploring uncharted waters with a genre film that engaged the mind, as well as bending it to breaking point. Smith’s hugely enjoyable BLACK DEATH (2010), set in 17th-century plague-ridden England, had a terrific lead performance from the ever-reliable Sean Bean (Possessor), and an early role for future Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything). It also featured a striking turn from Carice van Houten, that predated her similar forthcoming role in Game of Thrones. After forays into family comedies (Get Santa) and TV series (Alex Rider), Smith comes back to the horror genre this year, with THE BANISHING, a spine-chiller set in Britain’s most haunted house, Borley Rectory, during World War Two. Downton Abbey’s Jessica Brown Findlay is a young woman uncovering dark secrets in her new home, while Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible) is ghost hunter Harry Price, and John Lynch (Isolation) a sinister ‘man of God’. Smith expertly handles this handsomely mounted period mystery, twanging the nerves along the way, with creepy dolls, shadowy figures, religious mania and a couple of proper jolting shocks. THE BANISHING is released on digital platforms from 26th March and will stream on Shudder beginning 15th April. content: Dec 21, 2017 · podcast: Feb 12, 2021 Audio (MP3): 20171221 - I can be a fruity butterfly If you're not familiar with AA's Twelve Steps, don't worry none. Just follow along and you'll get the gist. When I worked Step One I was in horrible, emotional pain. Nightmarish pain that’d wake me up at night. Day in and day out pain unlike anything I’d felt in my life. And that pain was with me up until after I’d worked my Fifth Step. Then after Step Seven I started to really feel that peace, that everything was gonna be okay. That overwhelming and underlying good feeling that comes from walking a spiritual path. When I started making my Eighth Step list I wasn’t motivated by pain so much anymore to finish the steps. I was motivated because I wanted something more than what I’d always had in life. I wanted more of the happiness that I’d been given. I was still willing to do whatever it took to stay sober but the willingness came from a different place. For maybe half of my life I’ve been unhappy. Discontent with how my life was going, what I was doing. Sitting where I do now I know that unhappiness is on me. Sure, I was just doing what I knew how to do but I’d made myself miserable. I wanted something more from life and I knew that making the Eighth Step list and making my Ninth Step amends would help change fundamentally who I was. I’m passive in life and stepping outside of myself, going beyond my limitations was something I knew I could do. And it all started with asking god for help. And being willing, of course. ... So when I got home from work today I tried to take a nap but I just couldn’t rest for whatever reason. I went downstairs and the cats were yelling because their food bowl wasn’t full enough. Then the robot vacuum tangled itself up in the Christmas tree skirt and was about to tumble down the stairs. With not getting a nap and the cats and the vacuum, I was losing my patience. Ugh. Plus, I hadn’t had dinner yet. So then I’m eating cereal and trying to read my meditation books, snap me out of whatever funk I’m in. I picked up the first one and rolled my eyes. Ya, I know about that. I picked up the second one and was like, “fuck I’ve read all of this before.” I felt like the disgruntled person that I’d been most of my life. Restless, frustrated, and overall just discontent. When I picked up the third one it’s about a caterpillar on a leaf. YES. It sounded a straightforward bell, something simple that I could latch onto. A concept without complex thoughts and overly wordy spiritual truths. So the caterpillar spends much of his life eating the same leaves, day in and day out. But then something happens and it grows into something more, it turns into a butterfly. It can fly wherever it wants, sample the sweet nectar from a whole world of flowers. It’s not limited to the leaves that it’s always had. It’s been graced with a newly found freedom. It got me thinking that I can eat the same leaves I always have. I can have my same life. I can be constantly frustrated and throwing my hands up in the air. Or I can let go and do something different. Be something different. I can be a fruity butterfly. I got on my knees afterward and prayed, asked God for help, help me live that better kind of life. That I know about. After I said my prayers the cats came over, trying to love on me. And then I gave them some love back. Life’s just not about me. When I get outside of myself and do for others, life takes on a new meaning. One that feels full. Even though I’ve been sober I still need to pray for willingness, still need to pray for help. It’s that old saying that “just because I got sober doesn’t mean I get to stay sober.” Sometimes the dysfunction kicks in and I just want to give up, hide from my responsibilities, and not deal with life. But really I don’t want that life anymore though. I’m willing to do whatever it takes just like I became willing to make my amends. I want my life to have meaning, to have purpose. I want it to be big. Cosmically big. Butterfly big. #advancedsoul #twelvesteps #diariespodcast Add a comment! Got 30 seconds? Take the super duper, quick and easy podcast survey! By "the blues" what folk scholars actually mean is "music created by Africans in America." The other half is the folk music the Europeans conjured when confronted by this vast land trying to hold onto their roots. Neither is more important than the other. There's no guilt for being more in one camp than the other. In a land where certain freedoms are guaranteed in writing if not practice the only music jettisoned by the masses is that of the high born and educated, which is a goddamn fucking dirty shame. It's encapsulated by the banjo, an African instrument beloved by the ones whose necks are sunburned. As Johnny Cash would say, "meditate on it." The indigenous music got fucking trampled. As soft and dreamy as their moniker may be, Clouds actually make some of the most brutal and destructive techno out there. The Scottish duo of Calum MacLeod and Liam Robertson have been doing so with ever more abrasive surfaces and twisted drums since 2010, releasing on the likes of Turbo, Opal Tapes and Soma. Two of their three albums, though, have come on Speedy J’s Electric Deluxe. The latest, Heavy The Eclipse, is a conceptual affair that comes with a brilliantly realised website telling the story of a city that was left to rot after social and economic collapse. This “post-industrial hell-future” is taken over by Germans and renamed Neurealm, and is soundtracked across 14 perfectly dark and dystopian pieces featuring snippets of vocals, tinges of euphoria, passages of desolate dub and frazzled industrial noise. In their mix for us, the pair continue with that bleakly immersive sonic imagery by using unreleased material only! Nightmarish screams are obscured by scuzzy sonic blizzards, rave synths spray about above overdriven drums and hardcore and dub culture references often poke through the mire. It’s an all out aural assault that takes you to the heart of a grotty, strobe-lit warehouse in the very dead of night.

Share your #HalloweenGoals with @podcastgoals on the socials. And although it’s the final episode of the series, the pair will be back with a bang in the new year. Dream interpreter and spiritual life coach Yvonne Ryba takes a stab at interpreting a distressing dream that starts off like a spooky scene from "Psycho" (who's lurking behind that motel bathroom door?!) and ends up with a family meltdown, a stolen car and an old, discarded computer. This "dream-mare" -- half dream, half nightmare -- is rife with family dynamics, pop-culture symbolism (a "Simpsons" Hot Wheel and Spiderman plush toy?!) and disturbing imagery. What does it all mean? Yvonne goes deep into the "subconscious dictionary" to offer her illuminating thoughts.  For more of Yvonne's dream interpretation, check out season one of "re:awakening" in Chris's 2011-2013 podcast "Reimagine That!"
