Tonight's guest, Mike Tornincasa, started out as a paranormal investigator, but due to a series of experiences he had while doing field investigations in places with a history of paranormal events, he's now a paranormal/sasquatch investigator. The first experience he had that might have involved seeing a sasquatch happened about 4 years ago, in an old cemetery, in Ravenna, Ohio. To this day, Mike's not sure what it was that he saw. A few weeks ago, however, he had a clear sighting of a sasquatch. You see, he was doing a livestream for his podcast that night, in Cuyahoga Valley National Forest, in Summit County, Ohio, and wound up seeing an 8-plus-foot-tall sasquatch peek out at him from behind a tree. Mike got the impression the sasquatch wanted him to see it. Needless to say, the experience made quite the impression on Mike. On November 17th of 1995, tonight's guest, Bruno Thompson, was scouting the forest where he and his Uncle Tony planned to deer hunt the next morning, in Wisconsin. Bruno had already spent countless hours in the woods by then, even though he was quite a bit younger. It's been another wild week around here with the Oilers rollercoaster making another loop, and I've got a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never ready to recap it all. On today's podcast, I discussed the Stanley Cup Final, coaching candidates, summer TV binging, and more. Needless to say, we're in full offseason mode around here.I kicked off this week's episode with a run-through of the Stanley Cup Final and how this could be a nightmare final pairing if you're a grudge keeper like me. Not only do I despite the Golden Knights as a divisional rival, but I've also hated the Carolina Hurricanes since they beat the Oilers back in 2006. How does one choose between two awful outcomes? It's impossible, I say. From there, I looked at the latest news surrounding the Edmonton Oilers. Despite these being quiet days ahead of silly szn kicking off for the draft and free agency, there are some major decisions ahead for our beloved franchise, and that meant there's always something to talk about even if not much is happening.Finally, I wrapped up this week's episode of BLTN with a guest Righteous Sack Beating before wrapping up the podcast with another round of voicemails. The voicemail was quieter this week, but even so, I still had a great time hearing everyone's thoughts on whatever you wanted to talk about. Tonight's guest, Eric, has had some experiences in his life that were much more frightening than what most people have experienced. Eric used to live in a haunted house and one of the most frightening experiences he's had happened when he was in the shower one night. When he had that experience, he was standing in the shower when all of a sudden, he saw what he thinks was a demon come into the bathroom with him. When he saw that happen, it frightened him so much, he jumped out of the shower, threw his pants on, and ran out of the house. Of course, that experience really shook him up, but it still isn't the most frightening experience he's had. That title belongs to the time he walked right up to 3 Dogmen, before he realized what they were. He came to regret doing that. Tonight's guest, Phil Kotval, is the host of the Dogman Teepee Hunting Podcast. His interest in Dogmen stemmed from a frightening encounter he had when he was 8 years old with what appeared to be a real-life Werewolf, not a Dogman. The night his encounter happened, he was staying at his great Auntie Sissy's house, in the suburbs of Ipswich, in Suffolk England. After he was dropped off at her house, Auntie Sissy made it clear to him that he could play in her garden but he had to come inside before it got dark because if he didn't, Old Stinker would get him. Tonight's guest, Donna Copas, is of Shawnee descent and her spirit name is “White Wolf Woman.” Donna was featured on Episodes 480 and 488 and on those shows she talked about the many experiences she's had with the Sasquatch that live on and around her 300-acre farm, in Southeastern Ohio. Her father used to call them “The Watchers” and that's what Donna calls them to this day. There are many Watchers that Donna sees and interacts with, around her property, but the one she has the most affinity for is on she calls Grandfather. You see, Grandfather is an extremely old Sasquatch that used to watch over her father. Now that Donna's father has passed on, Grandfather watches over her. A couple of weeks ago, Donna had a terrifying experience with a rogue Sasquatch that moved into the area. The night it happened, Grandfather and another Sasquatch held the rogue Sasquatch at bay, giving Donna time to flee the area and get to safety. The main reason why Donna has come back to record tonight's show is to talk about what happened that night. The night Grandfather saved her from that rogue Sasquatch. Tonight's guest, Parmalee, has had a plethora of Bigfoot sightings. All of which happened within a 3-mile radius of her home. That's due, in large part, to the fact that for years, she had a clan of Sasquatch living across the road from her property. Parmalee had her first Bigfoot sighting, one night, in August of 2017. Tonight's guest, Dave, is from Mountain Iron, Minnesota but he had his sighting in Stillwater, Minnesota, in 1992. He was on a family hunting trip when he had his sighting. He and his family members were deer hunting on land that he and his family would travel to every year, like a tradition. The land was near Grand Rapids, Minnesota. There were lots of rolling hills and beautiful scenery there. When Dave had his sighting, he was on a ridgetop, hunting out of a 16-foot-tall ladder stand. A short time after climbing into his stand, he saw a pickup drive into view with around 8 men in its bed. Dave knew the men were getting ready to do what's called a drive, where they would spread out a walk through the woods, in an attempt to drive deer toward hunters who were lying in wait, up ahead. When the truck had driven about a half mile across a clearing Dave was by, he started to hear footsteps coming from the bottom of the hill he was sitting on top of. It didn't sound like a deer moving through the forest. It sounded different than that. On January 4th, of 2003, tonight's guest left work at about a quarter to 7 PM. He was working in Tampa, Florida at the time. The second encounter was with a Dogman. When Monty had his Sasquatch encounter, he was only 16 years old. He had his little brother Robbie and a good friend, John, with him when it happened. Tonight's guest, Athena, lives on a very old farm, that's backed by ancient woodlands, in North Wales, in the U.K. Due to how old her farm is, there are some good things that come along with that and some bad. One of the bad things she and her family members have had to deal with is a presence of paranormal entities that have made all of their lives more interesting than what they would prefer. Another thing she's had to learn to deal with is the presence of Dogmen that make their presence known too often for Athena's liking. Unfortunately, when it comes to Dogman encounters, Athena got an early start. You see, she had her first Dogman encounter when she was only 16 years old. It happened late one night when there was a full moon out. That encounter was, by far and away, the most traumatic encounter she's had with a Dogman due, in large part, to where it happened. She was in her own bed, at the time. The one place where you should feel safer than any other. What made that encounter even more traumatic was what the Dogman did after she saw it.
