Tonight's guest, Mike Tornincasa, started out as a paranormal investigator, but due to a series of experiences he had while doing field investigations in places with a history of paranormal events, he's now a paranormal/sasquatch investigator. The first experience he had that might have involved seeing a sasquatch happened about 4 years ago, in an old cemetery, in Ravenna, Ohio. To this day, Mike's not sure what it was that he saw. A few weeks ago, however, he had a clear sighting of a sasquatch. You see, he was doing a livestream for his podcast that night, in Cuyahoga Valley National Forest, in Summit County, Ohio, and wound up seeing an 8-plus-foot-tall sasquatch peek out at him from behind a tree. Mike got the impression the sasquatch wanted him to see it. Needless to say, the experience made quite the impression on Mike. In the Surtshellir lava cave of Iceland, archaeologists have uncovered evidence of a mysterious and frightening belief system. This vast cave system, located under a lava field created by a massive eruption around 900 AD, contains a large man-made wall and enormous piles of unburnt animal bones located deep in the pitch black. Further into the cave, a stone boat outline was discovered containing specific ritual offerings associated with fire, such as jasper fire-starters, burnt bones, and glass. Researchers believe these offerings were intended to placate a fire giant or being, potentially Surtr, who was thought to dwell within the lava field. Following Iceland's official conversion to Christianity in 1000 AD, the ritual practice eventually ceased, marked by a final offering of a metal cross left in the stone boat as a symbolic farewell to the old gods. The connection between the landscape and mythology is further illustrated by a saga poem describing a mountain giant with glowing eyes inside a cave. This poem uses vivid volcanic imagery to depict the end of a way of life, representing the transition as the "clay folk" or giants are driven underground by the arrival of a new Christian world order. 6/81600

Tonight's guest, Eric, has had some experiences in his life that were much more frightening than what most people have experienced. Eric used to live in a haunted house and one of the most frightening experiences he's had happened when he was in the shower one night. When he had that experience, he was standing in the shower when all of a sudden, he saw what he thinks was a demon come into the bathroom with him. When he saw that happen, it frightened him so much, he jumped out of the shower, threw his pants on, and ran out of the house. Of course, that experience really shook him up, but it still isn't the most frightening experience he's had. That title belongs to the time he walked right up to 3 Dogmen, before he realized what they were. He came to regret doing that. Tonight's guest, Donna Copas, is of Shawnee descent and her spirit name is “White Wolf Woman.” Donna was featured on Episodes 480 and 488 and on those shows she talked about the many experiences she's had with the Sasquatch that live on and around her 300-acre farm, in Southeastern Ohio.
