Tonight's guest, Ken, was born and raised in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Located along the northern edge of the Endless Mountains, Susquehanna County is home to countless forest-covered, rolling hills and the kind of terrain that would make it easy for a large cryptid to remain hidden.Late one night, in November of 2016, Ken was driving his ex-girlfriend around while she delivered newspapers on a route the two of them had been warned about. The warnings came from friends of his ex-girlfriend who had previously delivered papers on that route. They told Ken and his ex to be careful because they had seen what they described as Yetis while making deliveries.Naturally, Ken and his girlfriend didn't know what to make of those warnings. They had no reason to believe anything like that could be in the area. Their views on the existence of large, unknown cryptids changed abruptly that night, however. What they encountered didn't resemble a Yeti. Tonight's guest, Greg Helton, has been investigating the Sasquatch phenomenon for about 30 years. His first sighting happened in Manitou Springs, Colorado. He was on a cliff face, on the eastern side of Williams Canyon, tossing slate rocks over the edge so he could watch them smash on the ground below. After tossing the third rock, he suddenly noticed a black, furry, humanoid-shaped figure moving to his left. When he focused on the figure, he realized that it was looking back at him. A moment later, he realized it wasn't alone…Greg went on to have many more experiences with Sasquatch after that day. Tonight's guest, Nick Pool, grew up on a farm in the hills of western Kentucky. As a kid, one of the things he looked forward to most was finally being old enough to deer hunt with his father and brother. His father had promised him that when he turned 11, he'd be old enough to join them.Bright and early on the second day of deer season, shortly after Nick's 11th birthday, his father walked him out to a tree stand Nick had built in a large section of woods near the family farm. Hidden within those woods was a secluded field, making it an ideal place to hunt. Nick settled into his stand before sunrise, and not long after the sun came up, he began hearing strange sounds. Immediately on high alert, he scanned the woods, trying to figure out what was making them.It wasn't long before he found out—and what he saw left him in complete shock. Standing before him was a 9-foot-tall Sasquatch!That incredible encounter wasn't the only experience Nick had with the family of Sasquatch that lived in the woods surrounding his family's farm. Over the years, he had many more encounters with them and eventually came to enjoy seeing them. Years later, however, he had a very different kind of experience—one involving another undocumented creature he encountered on a lonely back road. Unlike his Sasquatch encounters, this one wasn't enjoyable at all. This week I'm talking to E.A. Sabean about her book 'Strange UFOs and Aliens in My Life' They have always been here. Ever since she was a child, E. A. Sabean experienced encounters with strange beings that were not of this Earth. Her earliest memories include frightening visits from unexplained entities, experiences that left her with a lifelong fear of the dark and of the open sky, even in the daytime. Knew it cover to cover better than the starters. Took some nerdy pride in that. Small and fast, they put me at tight end and during a training scrimmage, quarterback called an end around. I knew that play cold: two steps off the line, planted, spun around across the backfield, quarterback fading into view, ball suspended in my path, slapped against my chest. Clamped down and turned back toward the line. Perfectly executed. But in my mind, the play was over. No more lines on the page. Holding the ball with absolutely no idea what to do next. A big linebacker showed me. I had focused on what I could understand, but everything it means to be a football player starts where the playbook ends. The parts we can read and memorize are not why we go to football games. What we do when nothing is telling us what to do…that's worth a ticket. In real life, though, excitement turns to panic when we can't see the path ahead. It's an honest mistake. We see the path snaking behind, choices and events like stones in a lawn, and we imagine the future laid out in front of us as well… destiny, fate, God ordained…if we could just get a glimpse. But wise man say the path is made by walking on it. Life is not a worn path in the woods, stretching out behind and before. It's an adventure, a masted ship at sea. You see the wake behind, ahead only trackless ocean. A cloud of possible futures, constantly shifting with each choice/event. We look to religion, its scripture, laws, beliefs, rituals—playbook and promise. If we follow the book, we'll be safe. Saved. It may actually seem to work for awhile, until we suddenly find ourselves holding the ball with no idea what to do next. Religion puts the play in motion. Jesus shows us how to exceed the playbook and run downfield with the ball. Life begins where the playbook ends. Why we buy the ticket. The way ahead is trackless ocean, a field of linebackers. Frightening. We could get in trouble. But that's how you know it's an adventure.

Two summers ago, tonight's guest, James, was sitting on the bank of Fellows Lake, near Springfield, Missouri, with his girlfriend when they had an incredible Sasquatch sighting. Tonight's first guest, Kevin Frankenfield, is a hunting and fishing guide who had his Bigfoot sighting in Washington State, in November of 2023. When his sighting happened, he was working in the Deer Park Area. The morning his sighting happened, Kevin had woken up early, the way he normally does, and was on the phone with his girlfriend. When his dog woke up, instead of chomping at the bit to be let out, so he could run around Kevin's property, to see what he could get into, he jumped up on Kevin's bed and curled himself around Kevin's neck. That unusual behavior wasn't lost on Kevin. The next thing Kevin knew, his dog jumped off his bed, turned around, and hid under it. Not knowing what to make of his dog's strange behavior, Kevin started looking to see if anything unusual was going on outside. Not long after moving into his new home, with his family, he heard a loud vocalization that couldn't be easily explained away. He wasn't the only one in the area who heard it. His neighbor heard the vocalization too. In fact, the vocalization was so loud, both James and his neighbor could actually feel it.Then, one day, in the Fall of 2000, James drove to Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, to return some videos to Blockbuster, with his daughter. By the time they were on their way back home, a fog had rolled in, so James was being extra careful, because he was afraid a deer might jump out in front of his truck. Tonight's guest, Brett Ford, had two encounters with what some people would call Bearwolves, while he and his family were visiting Newfoundland, last summer. The encounters happened in fairly quick succession, on the same night, which makes Brett think they were connected somehow. The two Bearwolves/Dogmen he saw were definitely different creatures, as they looked different from one another. The first one he saw, near Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, had more of an athletic build. Tonight's guest, Tim, lives in Florida, but he was born and raised in the mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania where he did an extensive amount of hunting, fishing, and trapping. At a young age, Tim joined the U.S. Army and served as an infantryman. While he was serving our country, at Fort Carson, in Colorado, he had his first of 4 Bigfoot sightings. When he had his first sighting, he observed a family of Sasquatch, at a distance, through the optics of a missile-guided anti-tank system that was mounted on the armored personnel carrier he was in, at the time. Tonight's guest, Rick, had his Dogman encounter one night, in 1990, around dusk. He was sitting in church with his wife, at the time, when he realized he had heard the sermon the pastor was just starting to give. When he realized he had already heard it, he told his wife that he was going to take a ride in his 85 Chevy pickup truck to kill some time. Not long after he had left the church, he turned down a secluded road that hadn't been used in a very long time. It was around 8 PM, so it was dusky/dark outside. To help him see better, he turned the overhead lights on, on his truck's rollbar. Seconds after he did that, he saw a huge creature, that wasn't supposed to exist, start climbing down the trunk of a tree that was about 50 yards from the side of the road. As the monstrosity was climbing down the trunk, Rick could hear its claws tearing the bark. At that point, Rick was rapidly approaching the part of the road that was closest to where the creature was. Curiosity got the best of him, so he stopped his truck and got out. Tonight's guest, Mike Tornincasa, started out as a paranormal investigator, but due to a series of experiences he had while doing field investigations in places with a history of paranormal events, he's now a paranormal/sasquatch investigator. The first experience he had that might have involved seeing a sasquatch happened about 4 years ago, in an old cemetery, in Ravenna, Ohio. To this day, Mike's not sure what it was that he saw. A few weeks ago, however, he had a clear sighting of a sasquatch. You see, he was doing a livestream for his podcast that night, in Cuyahoga Valley National Forest, in Summit County, Ohio, and wound up seeing an 8-plus-foot-tall sasquatch peek out at him from behind a tree. Mike got the impression the sasquatch wanted him to see it. Needless to say, the experience made quite the impression on Mike.
