Host Adam McAtee, helps you become a more informed and confident instructor by showing you how to become an evidence-based Pilates instructor.
The Evidence-Based Pilates Podcast is a must-listen for anyone in the pilates community, whether you're a teacher, training to become one, or just a pilates enthusiast. With 20 years of experience teaching movement, I can confidently say that Adam's voice is exactly what the industry has been missing for so long. His evidence-based approach translates into us becoming the best teachers possible, which ultimately benefits our clients. Adam shows us the path to becoming more knowledgeable and effective instructors, while also providing charming and engaging conversations along the way. I've binged so many episodes and have paused multiple times to write down the nuggets of wisdom he shares. Adam is by far my favorite continuing education provider and I cannot recommend this podcast enough.
The best aspect of The Evidence-Based Pilates Podcast is how Adam breaks down complex scientific concepts and applies them specifically to pilates and overall exercise. As someone who went through pilates teacher training but felt like it only scratched the surface on topics involving special populations, injuries, anatomy, etc., I greatly appreciate how Adam fills those gaps in knowledge. He provides valuable information that is often difficult to find without spending hundreds of dollars on workshops or programs. His honest perspective on the pilates industry and his humorous delivery make this podcast even more enjoyable.
While it's difficult to find any negatives about The Evidence-Based Pilates Podcast, one minor downside may be that some listeners who are not as scientifically inclined might struggle with understanding certain episodes when they get extra science-y. However, even if you're not a self-proclaimed "nerd," you can still gain a lot from this podcast overall.
In conclusion, The Evidence-Based Pilates Podcast is an invaluable resource for both new and seasoned pilates instructors. It encourages critical thinking and challenges traditional dogmas in favor of an evidence-based approach to teaching movement. Adam's expertise and passion shine through in each episode, inspiring listeners to become better instructors and better students of pilates. If you're looking to expand your knowledge and improve your teaching skills, this podcast is a must-listen. Thank you, Adam, for sharing your wisdom and making such an impact on the pilates community.
