A great start to the season for the Reds, as they took the lead after just five minutes and went into half-time three goals to the good. Nottingham Forest look set to spend around £100m on new signings and maybe more as they close in on a series of transfers. Arnaud Kalimuendo is set to join from Rennes for £26m, James McAtee from Manchester City for £30m and Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town for £37.5m. Sky Sports have also reported that Forest are in talks with Juventus over Douglas Luiz. Meanwhile, Reds manager Nuno Espirito Santo has told Sky he is 'very worried' about where Forest are after a summer where plans didn't come together at the speed he wanted in unusually forthright comments to the media. On top of that, Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to sign a new contract according to Daniel Taylor of the Athletic and Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports and then there is the small matter of the opening Premier League game of the season Sunday against Brentford. Matt Davies is joined by Michael Temple in part one to discuss the transfer news, Nuno's comments and Hudson-Odoi's deal. Then in part two he is joined by Emily Anderson (10 minutes later) former Reds midfielder Lewis McGugan to preview the Brentford game and discuss Kalimuendo and McAtee. #NFFC #nottinghamforest

Welcome to Forest Fan TV for a live podcast of "Grumpy Old Reds," where Wolfie and the panel tackle all the latest transfer news surrounding Nottingham Forest! The big talking point is the imminent signing of Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo in a potential €30m deal, with reports confirming the 23-year-old is set to join after an impressive 17-goal Ligue 1 season. The panel will debate where he fits into Nuno Espirito Santo's squad—will he lead the line or compete with Chris Wood and Igor Jesus —and who might be dropped or shifted to accommodate his arrival as the Reds prepare for the Premier League and Europa League. With new signings like Ndoye and potentially Kalimuendo boosting the squad, Wolfie and the crew will discuss tactics, key players to watch, and whether Nuno's less defensive approach can pay off against a tough BFC side. The mood might be grumpy, but the analysis will be sharp as they predict the outcome of this crucial opener.Jump into the live chat and share your thoughts as the podcast unfolds! Could McAtee be the second signing this week? Forest will have to increase their bid first! For Exclusive Content Join FFTV Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/ForestFanTV Welcome to Forest Fan TV for the latest transfer update on Nottingham Forest! Breaking news today reveals that Manchester City have rejected a £25m bid for their midfielder James McAtee, with the Premier League giants holding out for a higher fee despite the player entering the final year of his contract. Forest, eager to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo's squad after losing Anthony Elanga, see McAtee as a key target, but City's valuation—closer to £35m or more—has sparked debate. Should Forest return with a bigger offer for a player whose game time could be limited under Pep Guardiola, or is this a risky move with his contract winding down? We also have an update on the exciting new signing, Dan Ndoye, who is currently undergoing his medical after Forest secured the Bologna winger in a €40m deal, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano earlier today. The Swiss international is set to add pace and flair to the Reds' attack, and fans are buzzing about his imminent arrival at the City Ground. With personal terms agreed and no release clause in his new contract, this looks like a solid long-term investment—though the medical outcome remains a key focus as we await official confirmation. Could the deal for Lyon's Malick Fofana be back on the table? Recent reports suggest Forest are rekindling interest in the young forward, who was previously targeted earlier this window. With Ndoye nearing completion and McAtee's future uncertain, could Fofana provide additional depth? With Ndoye already agreeing personal terms with Forest, Wolfie analyses whether the Reds have missed out on another key target to replace Anthony Elanga—could this be a blow to Nuno's plans? Tune in for the breakdown! The Gibbs-White saga takes a new turn—Manchester City are reportedly not interested in signing the Forest midfielder this summer, having already bolstered their squad in his position. There are a number of targets Forest are looking at, but who will Forest sign? To Buy Wolfie a Coffee Click Here: https://buymeacoffee.com/forestfantv The transfer window is heating up, and Nottingham Forest are in a race to rebuild after major exits! In this Forest Fan TV update, Wolfie guides you through the latest transfer links as the Reds look to replace Anthony Elanga, who joined Newcastle for £55m plus £5m add-ons, and Morgan Gibbs-White, whose £60m move to Tottenham is now in doubt due to Forest's claims of an illegal approach by Spurs. With Evangelos Marinakis and Nuno Espirito Santo aiming to bolster the squad for the Premier League and their newly confirmed Europa League campaign, Wolfie dives into the top targets to fill the voids left by Elanga's pace and MGW's creativity. Brentford's Yoane Wissa, a long-term Forest target valued at £50m, is another option to add versatility and goal-scoring (19 non-penalty goals last season), despite a rejected £25m bid. For MGW's midfield role, Wolfie explores Manchester City's James McAtee, a £25m-£40m starlet open to joining Forest, and Liverpool's Harvey Elliott, a £35m-£40m versatile playmaker who could thrive as a No. 10 or winger, as noted by Nottingham Forest News. Share your views below—which of these players excites you most? With over £115m from Elanga's sale and potential MGW funds, Forest have the financial muscle to act, but Wolfie questions whether they can land these high-profile targets amidst competition from Champions League clubs like Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Can Forest's recruitment, led by Edu, secure Bakayoko, Wissa, Elliott, or McAtee to maintain their attacking identity? Manchester City are on fire—literally!
James McAtee is the latest guest on the Official Man City Podcast! Another of our special homegrown talents, McAtee is enjoying his first season as a regular member of Pep Guardiola's world-class squad. The 22-year-old has already spent more than a decade at the Club, joining our youth ranks from Under-11s onwards. Touted early on as a player that could make an impression at the top of the game, McAtee has worked hard to earn the trust of Pep Guardiola. And in recent weeks and months the Salford-born attacking midfielder has made giant leaps, influencing games and scoring goals whether starting or coming on from the bench. His hat-trick against Salford City earlier this month is already a highlight in what McAtee hopes will be a long time at the Club, while he's also notched his first Champions League and Premier League strikes for City this term. In this chat with George Kelsey and Nedum Onuoha, McAtee details his journey so far and the sporting heritage in his family. He also recounts how two very different campaigns on loan at Sheffield United - the first a Championship promotion and the second a Premier League relegation - have steeled him for the rollercoaster ride of a career in professional football.
