But today, reading a poem about home, a polished maple leaf, extending its stem like an arm, falls from the pages where it had been placed to dry by another poetry fan. Dandelion likes hats. Easter Sunday,the only day she refuses to wear one. Hats speak for herlike ventriloquists,make statementsat demonstrations,shout on foggy days. Dandelion is easily noticed in fields and tourist photos, shows up in flash mobs, would be remembered at any crime scene.At 79,a purple fedora will do. For now,a toque, a cloche,a beret, a turban. Dandelion likes hats. That’s all there is to say about that. Basil wears vests.an extra layerover tailored shirtsand even long sleeved tees, hiding his heart. He owns and often dons, many of his favorites,suit vests and tweeds, gilets on sporty days. Cold and hard require, the sheepskin and suede. Basil wears vests and they wear him. In 2027,just before Dandelion’s 80thand just after Basil’s 78th,they will meet.They will be seen often sipping tea. Basil will begin to forgetthe top two buttons.Dandelion will occasionallyand then more often,display her beautyat the teashops and at home,sans chapeau,without a hat. 4/18/21 Jill Rothman

Ganesh's Daughter One of Sri Ganesh's attributes as a god is his ability to remove obstacles from his devotee's path. Ganesh's daughter likes to put the obstacles back where they were. She thinks that in the long run it saves time. Story One day Ganesh's daughter is having a talk with her friend Raven Crow. She wonders aloud "what if those obstacles hold unforeseen treasures? What if the obstacles are not obstacles after all; maybe, they are really opportunities or perhaps a portal to higher consciousness? Maybe the obstacles are not as solid or substantial as people think they are. They need to figure this out for themselves. Because, if they don't figure it out, the obstacle always comes back. It may look different but it is the same obstacle." Raven Crow says, "Yes, perception is a tricky thing. What you are seeing may not be what you are looking at. In fact, I can see in two directions at once, which makes it possible to see in between things, where nothing, is, as it appears to be. Moving in between things is a great way to get around obstacles.” "Exactly Right!" exclaims Ganesh's daughter. "What seems impenetrable is really an illusion. See this green wall of chaos blocking my way? I can step in it and through it, like this." She pulls Raven Crow along with her. After a few minutes Raven Crow is able to catch his breath and says, "Well, that was a bit of a squeeze,.. but,.. I feel pretty good, now." Ganesh's daughter says "Yeah, but, wasn’t it worth it? Think of all the time we just saved by going through, rather than around.”

“Do you trust me”? She asks Yes and yes again, What ever comes, I trust you. Out of the great wide open of not knowing and uncertainty the Thunderbird appears opening her heart allowing her prayers to fall upon my open mind into my hands, creating. Her prayers merge with my prayers and they land where the cranes of peace rest in the meadow of my heart near the lake of still waters where the quiet imaginings create ripples of light that catch my attention. Bear came into Mind while the universe was arranging and rearranging its self.A spark of inspiration, a fleeting thought from the great spirit of time out of mind.The Great Dreaming has begun. Meeting Mother Earth On the Camino de Santiago de Compostela ~ Elin Babcock The heavy thud and screeching metal-on-metal woke me up. The night train had stopped. Backpack, check. Map, check Water, check. I looked for the first yellow arrow towards Santiago so far away. Among the silent steps, the smell of spring, the grazing cows, sheep, the pecking, clucking chickens and local dogs, She was reciprocal. I felt Her encouragement, through my tired boots, to go on. I felt it in Her offer to rest sitting on a moss cushioned rock by the wandering river my feet in the water. Serene Contemplating, conversing appreciating Her work listening to Her chorus of birds. Towards the end we were disconnected. I entered the cement and car honking outskirts of the huge city of Santiago de Compostella I could no longer hear Her wisdom. © Elin Babcock. She is the one who keeps watch over the rhythm of life, fine tuning and re-tuning resonating the musical calm inside the chaos of the world. She listens to the hum of all life, the heart pulse that holds the pattern. She remembers and knows the patterns by heart. From her tree of life there springs forth the life blood and seeds that will create new patterns re-enforcing what was what is and what will be.

She is one of those older women, you know, a "free spirit" who is always picking up strays. She helps those who are damaged in one way or another. No one knows that she is the Earth Goddess in human form walking among us doing what she can to restore wholeness and repair the broken. What if Gaea does her work through the hearts and hands of women and men-the ones who are willing to be "free spirits" and commit acts of kindness for any who are in need of a little help. What if Gaea is us walking?

Gaia has gathered the seeds from the tree of life. She releases the seeds homeward into the gathering storm. They will take root in the fertile minds and open hearts of the Ones ready to receive the blessing. Allies gather to attend her. Their focus is love. Their intent is love. Love is all there is, all there ever has been, and all there ever will be, worth living for. Gather together for Gaia’s sake.

At this time of gathering, of thought and thankfulness, Take a moment of time to thank our Mother Earth, her waters, her trees, and her life giving breeze. We forget that all things living, need thought and attention; Our Mother Earth is no different. In this time of strife and world change, it is more important, than ever before, to be thank-full to all that gives us life. Take a moment to send light and love, to those who wish us harm, those who teach us the value of who we are. Take a moment to reflect on that which you really want, that which will bring the most of who you are, to the rest of us. To make a change it must come from within, then it travels the world, this thought can change all that is, an action more powerful than imagined. Walk for a while in the shoes of others to find your path; then walk your’s, with your soul intact. Life is a precious moment in time, use it well, the best you can. Take a moment…
