Only Levites could be priests. Yet when God sent the Messiah, He did so through the tribe of Judah.That actually doesn't make much sense, since everything else lines up so perfectly. And it creates a problem- how could the Messiah be our priest if He wasn't from the priestly tribe?The priest was supposed to represent the people before God. The priest offered up the sacrifices to appease God's wrath on sin. And Jesus did that by offering up Himself.
