Three machine timestamps anchor the Nancy Guthrie disappearance in facts that can't be disputed. Her doorbell camera disconnected at 1:47 a.m. Twenty-five minutes later, the software detected a person at the door. At 2:28 a.m., the pacemaker monitoring her heart lost its signal — with her phone still inside the house she never re-entered. Forty-one minutes. That's the window.The FBI released the doorbell footage on February 10. A man in a ski mask, gloves, a jacket, and a holstered handgun approached the front door carrying a 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack — a backpack the bureau says is sold exclusively at Walmart. He discovered the camera in real time, reached down, pulled weeds from Nancy's own yard, and covered the lens. As of the FBI's last public statement, the man has not been publicly identified.Blood confirmed as Nancy's was found on the front porch. She left behind her phone, wallet, and the medication she reportedly needs daily. Discarded gloves were recovered approximately two miles from the property. The family found her gone, called for help within minutes, and a full response deployed — drones, K-9 units, and eventually more than a hundred investigators. No arrest has been made. Nancy Guthrie remains missing.Jennifer Coffindaffer spent 28 years at the FBI and walks through those forty-one minutes the way she was trained to process a scene. International Conference “Jewish Immigration from Eastern Europe to Israel and Germany in the Light of the War in Ukraine (1991-2025). Narratives, Memory and Identity Formation” December 2025 in Munich. The Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 has triggered one of the largest refugee crises in recent European history. Over 1.2 million Ukrainian citizens have received temporary protection in Germany, while a significant number of refugees—Jewish or of Jewish origin—have also sought refuge in Israel and received citizenship under the Law of Return. The experiences of Ukrainian Jews in the wake of the war offer an important lens through which to examine broader patterns of Jewish migration from Eastern Europe over the past four decades. This two-day interdisciplinary conference, organized by the Leonid Nevzlin Research Center for Russian and East European Jewry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Leibnitz Center for Contemporary History Potsdam and the Center for Israel Studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, aims to juxtapose two pivotal periods of Jewish migration to Israel and Germany—the post-Soviet 1990s and the post-2022 Ukrainian crisis. By bringing together scholars from the humanities and social sciences, the conference seeks to enrich our understanding of the shifting meanings of Jewish belonging, displacement, and diaspora in the 21st century. Through historical, sociological, and cultural analyses, we aim to build a comparative framework for analyzing Jewish migration in the context of political rupture, memory politics, and transnational identity formation.

This is an episode for the ministry underdog. There are some unwritten, unhelpful rules about worship ministry and Christian music that we need to say out loud. You're too old. Your voice isn't strong enough. You're too overweight. Your style isn't what we're going for. You can't be the face of the ministry. Of course, we don't say these things out loud, most of the time. But it appears that too often our modus operandi is to be attractive and impressive, beautiful. How are we going to sell the most records? Who is going to draw people to our church? The longer we operate with these cultural values, the more we sideline great leaders and harm them in the process. I'm not advocating anyone could be a worship leader. Obviously, there are skill standards. But how far is too far when it comes to talent, image, beauty, and age? At what point have we abandoned kingdom values for profit, power, and influence? Calvin Nowell is my guest today. Calvin is a songwriter, worship leader, and singer who has sung with many of the top names in Christian Music. Calvin also leads a diverse music collective called Aware Worship that is bringing awareness to the people side of ministry. This is vulnerable conversation.
