The decision not to participate by a few players sighting religious reasons as well as the choice by the Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild to not hold Pride events because of an apart risk to the safety of their Russian born players has lead to a lot of conversation about the issue and the reaction. We discuss how the NHL should respond. And if people are missing the whole point! Topic 2: The World Baseball Classic was a huge hit and has lead to players in other sports wishing they too could play best on best. We look at the impact of the event and the future it might pave. Members of the Womens national team testified in front of a parliamentary committee this week outlining their grievances with the federation. The challenge is where is the money? And at this point where is the solution? We discuss... Topic 2: Following the Oilers and Maple Leafs game on Saturday night Jordan has some questions about officiating and when penalties are being called. On three separate occasions penalties were assed after the whistle and all where offsetting minors. Braydon & Jordan discuss of the events unfolded and how the whole situation was handled by the media and NFL Topic 2: The World Jr's. was a real coming out party for Connor Bedard who is clearly a very unique and special talent. Braydon & Jordan look back at his role in Canada's gold medal and how the tournament was received by fans. But the action off the pitch has become even more dramatic and disturbing. 2 new deaths were reported last week and they each were treated very differently. Diana Matheson and Christine Sinclair announced this week the soon to be founded Womens league that will kick off sometime in 2025. Already teams are joining and this bold new vision for soccer in Canada is very exciting! Topic 1: In what can only be described as a disgraceful lack of decent judgment. The Boston Bruins signed Mitchell Miller last week before having to backtrack amid the obvious outrage that the signing incited. Miller was convicted of abuse and bullying following what was a decades long torment of a black teammate. The Bruins claimed to have done their research into the situation, but that lie came tumbling down minutes after the news broke as it became clear they hadn't even reached out to the victims family. Elliott & Jordan discuss how this is another sign that hockey has a long way to go to truly achieve its claim of diversity and inclusion. Topic 2: Jordan defends his 3 Hottest Oiler takes in topic 2 this week! Topic 3: Elliott and Jordan look at the Canadian Mens National team lineup and discuss expectations leading to the World Cup kickoff later this week!

They have both championships in the bag but they also now know their penalty for violating last season cost cap. Jordan helps Elliott understand what it all means!
Topic 1: Just admit it, MLB playoffs are awesome. Playoff baseball in October is full of drama, high-stakes and so much to enjoy! What can MLB learn form the playoffs to help grow the game? Topic 2: A horribly slow start to the NHL season saw the Vancouver Canucks suffer yet another loss this weekend but this one hurt a bit more as it was a thrashing in their home-opener, and the fans let them hear it! We also look at the rest of the NHL Topic 3: Jordan goes off on the Edmonton Oilers media, he rants about the lack of substance and creativity in the current crop of beat reporting and rails against the way modern media as diluted good reporting. He also asks why more unique perspectives and views can't get access to bring the fans ideas and opinions they might actually want to consume.
