In this episode, Michael and I talk about the charges that were brought against us by the election chair. Labor laws are pretty clear that union members have free speech, and that freedom specifically includes the right to be critical of union officials. But here we are. Enjoy!
It's Week 15, but things are still pretty much wide open
In part two, we get into the election portion of our branch meeting. Tough questions were asked by the crowd, and NOT answered by our branch officers. To say it was lively would be an understatement.
In this episode, Michael Brasaemle comes over to talk about what went down at our most recent branch meeting. We wound up needing THREE EPISODES to cover everything. This first episode covers my effort to force the president of my branch to fulfill his obligation under our bylaws to fill vacancies. Specifically, the steward position at my station that has been vacant for a year. This is what it looks like when you go up against entrenched branch officers who have been there upwards of 30 years.

Jim Rutledge, Matt Hamilton and Molly Brown come for their final show together of the week with Matt & Molly out Thursday and Friday. They discuss the most recent Jordan Love health updates from Adam Schefter on Jen, Gabe and Chewy and Matt LaFleur at today's press conference. Who else is injured heading into this week's game versus the Vikings, and who can't they afford to lose against Minnesota. First, they welcome in young producer Riley Jauch, who will best ESPN Madison's on-field correspondent for the Badgers game out at USC! But, will Riley actually make it in time to the LA Coliseum if he's leaving Chicago at 3:30am on Saturday morning, and will his trip to LA to cover college football go better than Jim's infamously crappy train ride to the Rose Bowl? Is flying after partying a wise travel plan, and what are the worst places to be drunk (ie children's birthday party, church and....)? Mark Tauscher joins the show discuss the Packers versus Vikings and give some of his thoughts on this week's most recent NIL controversy at UNLV. First, they discuss the Packers chances versus the Vikings if they're with or without Jordan Love, and is Molly Brown being pessimistic or realistic if she's nervous about winning with Malik Willis? Jim also debates Tausch on the value of a play-caller or a coach when asking if Matt LaFleur or Jordan Love is more valuable for the Packers over the next 10 years? And, Tausch can't understand why a Bears fan like Jim can't understand the growing pains of a young QB. Plus, what are Tausch's thoughts on today's breaking NIL news story with UNLV quarterback Matt Sluka choosing to redshirt the rest of the season after claiming he didn't receive anywhere close to the money he was promised when transferring to Vegas. In today's Minute to Win It, Jim and Primetime test Matt & Molly on the collegiate athletes with the top-10 NIL valuations!

Fat-Burning Man by Abel James (Video Podcast): The Future of Health & Performance
Have you heard that eating animal protein causes cancer? Or that you'll save the world if you only give up hamburgers forever? Despite dutifully reducing our consumption of animal protein for decades, rates of obesity and chronic disease have skyrocketed. In the face of relentless anti-meat propaganda, what if the blanket advice to follow strict plant-based diets is actually accelerating rates of obesity and disease? When I gave up meat as a young athlete for the sake of health and the environment, my results were abysmal. I lost muscle, gained fat, lacked energy, recovered poorly, and my race performance suffered. Since plant-based fake meats and meat substitutes are incomplete proteins that are not well absorbed or utilized by our bodies, avoiding high-quality animal protein can lead to poor outcomes in health and performance for children and adults alike. Meatless Mondays may sound virtuous, but they're not saving the environment or solving the obesity epidemic as many are led to believe. Indiscriminately blaming cattle for the sins of fossil fuels and industrial agriculture is a mistake. We all want to save the world, but as this week's guest quips: “we can't eat our way out of a climate crisis.” Whether you're raising animals or growing crops, industrial agriculture isn't friendly to the environment or our health. Prioritizing the health of your body and the planet requires that we source real food according to the laws of nature, prioritizing regenerative agriculture and pasture-raised animals over the products of concentrated feedlots and industrial monocrops. When it comes to health and performance, eating high-quality protein from healthy animals is one of the most powerful weapons we have to fight obesity, muscle wasting, and premature aging. Today we're back with our friend Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, a New York Times Bestselling author, podcaster and functional medicine physician specializing in the concept of muscle-centric medicine, which focuses on the largest organ in the body, skeletal muscle, as the key to health and longevity. In this episode with Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, you'll discover: Why what we think of as aging is actually a disease of impaired muscle The surprising relationship between meat, protein, and cancer How society's focus on weight loss has led to neglect of muscle building, which is critical for overall health The most effective exercises and training frequency to build skeletal muscle, optimize metabolism, and fight aging And much more… Read the show notes: https://fatburningman.com/gabrielle-lyon-why-meat-eating-and-strength-training-are-key-to-longevity/ Grab Dr. Gabrielle Lyon's new book “Forever Strong”: https://drgabriellelyon.com/forever-strong/ Join the Abel James' Substack channel: https://abeljames.substack.com/ Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/fatburningman Follow on X: https://x.com/abeljames Like the show on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/fatburningman Click here for your free Fat-Burning Kit: http://fatburningman.com/bonus Brought to you by: The Relax Infinity app at RelaxInfinity.com - Save 20% off with the promo code WILD Wild-caught seafood from MarithymeSeafood.com - Get 10% off your first order with code EATWILD

Fat-Burning Man by Abel James (Video Podcast): The Future of Health & Performance
Do you feel like you're addicted to screens? Technology was supposed to improve our quality of life, but instead it's fueled a war on our attention, happiness, and sanity. Some of the most intelligent brain scientists in the world are paid ungodly sums to make sure you're as addicted as possible, hijacking your reward pathways so they can mine your time, manipulate your thought processes, and sell your data to the highest bidder. The endless pursuit of corporate profits has created an algorithmic race to the bottom. Constant digital stimulation rewires our brains, upsets hormonal balance, saps our energy, and even degrades our ability to feel connected to humans in real life. The damage that social media and screentime can cause to mental health, especially for young women, is well-documented. Social media platforms contribute to body dysmorphia and eating disorders, and progressively lead to serious mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and far worse. In the face of epidemic levels of loneliness and isolation, men who pursue pleasure from screens reinforce their addiction to digital stimulation, which causes testosterone levels, energy, and motivation to plummet. So how can we reverse our overreliance on exploitative modern technology and create real, authentic human connections and relationships in a digital age? Today we're back with our friend Dr. John Gray, former monk and author of more than 20+ books including “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus” the best-selling relationship book of all time. In this episode with Dr. Gray, you'll discover: Simple strategies to increase testosterone in men, and balance hormones in women (without using exogenous drugs) What living as a monk for 9 years taught Dr. Gray about mindfulness and meditation How harnessing the “polarity” between masculine and feminine energies can reignite attraction, intimacy and romance in relationships Why complaining can be addictive and what to do instead How small acts of kindness and appreciation help build intimacy and connection in your relationships The potential impacts and dangers of new technologies like virtual reality on future human relationships and interactions And much more… Read the show notes: https://fatburningman.com/dr-john-gray-how-to-overcome-tech-addiction-optimize-hormones-and-reignite-romance/ Claim your free course from Dr. John Gray: https://www.marsvenus.com/gift Join the Abel James' Substack channel: https://abeljames.substack.com/ Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/fatburningman Like the show on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/fatburningman Follow on X: https://x.com/abeljames And click here for your free Fat-Burning Kit: http://fatburningman.com/bonus Brought to you by: The Relax Infinity app at RelaxInfinity.com - Save 20% off with the promo code WILD Wild-caught seafood from MarithymeSeafood.com - Get 10% off your first order with code EATWILD
