When people get arrested, they usually are allowed to post a bond (also known as bail) to get out of jail pending trial. The price of the bond is often linked to the crime the individual defendant is accused of. The more serious the crime, the higher the bond typically is. The Supreme Court has denied Remington's move to block a lawsuit filed by the families of the Sandy Hook shooting victims. What does this mean?
