About the series: Peter's death was imminent, and he knew his time was short. This reality prompted Peter to write again but this time his tone was more intense. He wanted the early church to know: 1. God loves this world and is determined to rescue it! And 2. God will confront and deal with evil for the sake of a new forever future! About this week's message: Peter was adamantly against what some false teachers were teaching: the stories of Jesus were made up stories. Peter was not only an eyewitness of the glory of Christ, but the prophets of God described the same things. These false accusations are still around today. Key Phrase: “For we did not follow cleverly devised stories…” 2 Peter 1:16

At the height of World War II, transporting the mail to GIs took a back seat to moving supplies to the front. Soon, millions of letters and packages were piling up with no one to sort them. Despite facing racism and sexism - and grueling working conditions - the women of the Six Triple Eight accomplished their mission, re-establishing an important connection between the homefront and the battlefront. With an ensemble cast featuring Kerry Washington, Susan Sarandon, Sam Waterston, and Oprah Winfrey, The Six Triple Eight is inspired by the real story of the first and only Women's Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas in the Second World War.
