Rob shares some challenges encountered along the way in his October season in great detail before then going into the incredible story of perseverance guiding a late season cow moose hunt. While a cow hunt may not garner the excitement associated with a trophy bull harvest; this one was special. The cow harvested ended up being a collared and tagged moose that was originally tagged multiple years ago as a part of Maine's moose population/winter tick research project. The story of this cow and the immense knowledge she shared with our biologists is amazing and is a story OMM is proud to be a part of.

Episode 44 is a very special episode about giving thanks to our armed service members and their families. For 2023 OMM Outfitters was blessed with the opportunity to guide a gold-star veteran sponsored hunt that was supported by the Three Rangers Foundation and KUIU. In addition, several other corporate sponsors including GA Precision, Swarovski, Eagle Lake Sporting Camps, Eagle Lake Wild Game Processing and many others stepped in to provide the support necessary to conduct this hunt. Army Ranger Veteran Chris Vogeler's brother Lance (a fellow Army Ranger himself) sadly lost his life in 2010 during combat overseas. While Lance's ultimate sacrifice and the sacrifice still to this day by this family can never be replaced or given the thanks it deserves; everyone involved was grateful to have the opportunity to give back to a truly deserving patriot who's family has given so much to defend our freedoms here in the USA. Episode 43 host Chris Richards along with team members Nathan Theriault and Ken Mayo sit down for two conversations at the 2024 State of Maine Sportsman's Show in Augusta Maine. The first conversation is with David Trahan, Executive Director of the Sportman's Alliance of Maine (S.A.M.) David shares the history and importance of this organization and then shares some current political issues that are on the radar of S.A.M. before closing with some stories of his own moose hunting experience. The second conversation is with Maine State Senator Matt Pouliot. Matt was on the podcast in June of 2023 celebrating the fact that he had won his own moose permit. Matt ultimately decided to hire OMM Outfitters to guide him on his moose hunting adventure in Northern Maine and they had a truly special hunt which he shares in exciting detail in this episode.

On episode 23 of the moose hunt podcast host Chris Richards sits down for the first "solo episode" of the project. On Episode 21 of the Moose Hunt Podcast host Chris Richards sits down for a bit of a trip down memory lane with some family. Back by popular demand is his father William "Wild Bill" Richards and the pair are also joined by Justin Richards, brother of the host. Justin shared his findings on a recent research project he completed on the history of the Maine Moose Lottery and how the modern moose hunt started. The group then discusses Justin's first moose hunt in 2010 where he harvested a beautiful bull. The story is a testament to pre-season scouting, hunting fresh sign, why you need to be always ready because a hunt can happen fast- as well as why you really need to hold onto your rifle tightly when you shoot. Episode 20 of the moose hunt podcasts contains valuable tips for pre-season preparation brought by OMM team member David Jantti that is a professional physical trainer. The team at OMM takes great pride in pre-season preparation and scouting however often what is overlooked is how we as hunters can prepare our mind, body and spirit for the fall season ahead. David then shares details about his September 2022 hunt and how they pushed through challenges to harvest a gorgeous bull. The episode caps off with Ken Mayo sharing a few teasers of the success of this years Team OMM shed hunt as well as the black bear that charged him along the way. Enjoy!
