In this episode, Andrew and Jacob sit down with public-land bowhunter Benji Vote to break down how he consistently kills mature bucks in big hill-country and river-bottom terrain. Benji explains why he trusts fresh tracks over old rubs, how rain resets the woods, and the way he uses creeks, oxbows, and flooded timber to pin down where big deer actually travel.He walks through his process for finding “the right doe group,” reading historical sign versus hot sign, and how big bucks use water, edges, and wind to lock down does where other hunters won't go. We don't typically get on our soap box but this week it seems something needs to be said for the way hunters treat one another. We have a serious issue in the hunting community that stems from jealousy and ignorance when it comes to our support of other hunters and it's time we make a change. There aren't enough of us left to be spending our time tearing each other down. We need to come together and protect our rights and privileges. Let's do better together.
