The miraculous events around the birth of Jesus are found in 2 different gospel accounts, Luke and Matthew. These disciples approached the birth account from different perspective. Luke from Mary's lineage and account and Matthew from Joseph's lineage and account. This episode is a reading of both of those accounts but put in chronological order. It's a great one to listen to with family! Talk about what jumped out as a new detail or what spoke to you. Which of the people did you connect with the most? May this reading of the Holy Scripture be a satisfying meal and drink of celebration! Blessings and Merry Christmas!
In the interaction between Elizabeth and Mary, we see that Elizabeth spoke word of life over Mary. Her mouth was supernaturally filled with blessings over her. When is the last time you had someone speak words of life over you to encourage you in your faith, in the promises of God? Do you know what promises of God you are standing on right now? Listen in to be reminded of what the LORD has spoken over you. Stand firm under these blessings. Take ownership of them. Ask a friend to speak Luke 1:45 over you. Return the blessing and speak the same blessing over your believing friend.
Are you looking up, down, forward or backwards? Many of us are consumed with the future or excessively meditating on the past or heavy in spirit and looking down. God calls us to look up! To have our mouths filled with His hopeful message! To position by faith in His promises of peace and goodwill! So take this devotional and the prompts given and practice looking up! Speak out loud where you are prompted to do so! And look up!
Do we look away when need comes knocking? We like to think we would not. But as believers, we have the advantage of a heart of stone being made into a heart of flesh through the supernatural life of Jesus in us. Today, go back in time and be one of those who turned Joseph and Mary away. The One who came to lay himself down for us came into a world where no one would lay themselves down for Him.
Have you noticed this detail of Zacharias' account in Luke 1... that there was assembly of worshippers that gathered to pray? That they gathered during the "hour of incense"? See Luke 1:10. Try reading it in multiple versions. Will you be gathering with your family or church family to offer up sweet incense to Jesus? May you find some inspiration to do so through this Advent episode that includes language of worship to lift up to His Holy Name!
Hi, this is Gina. Over Christmas I'm uploading some devotions and reflections around the coming of Emmanuel. This brief reflection encourages you to see the supernatural indwelling as a "NOW" word for you. Jesus still indwells. He is still the Word that became flesh coming to dwell within you. Visit www.knowingJesuswithGina.com to sign up to receive my blog for more inspiration on getting to know Jesus.
Arguments... "You can't prove a virgin birth." "The Bible is a fairy tale." "The Bible never said Jesus was God." "The Bible is just made up stories." "The Bible can't be proven." "The Bible has tons of errors and can't be trusted." How many of these lies have you heard? How confidently do you respond? It feels awkward to not have a ready answer. But, you can have one and tell a sweet and miraculous true story (from our time!) in the process! For this Advent, listen to the miraculous story of the young Muslim boy who discovered one of the greatest biblical finds that maybe ever has been found so far! The details have God's fingerprints all over it! You'll hear how this modern day account verifies scriptures written BEFORE Jesus was born, and where those scriptures clearly point to the coming Holy One as God! You can be bold and confident in declaring the inerrant Word of God!So get ready! Have a way to take notes. Have your bible handy! Don't just listen, check my work. Go deeper! Be rooted in your belief through the scriptures so you can show the proof to others! Blessings as you prepare your heart to receive Him with joy and gladness!
Welcome to 2024 and blessings for His grace and power to you. I'm sharing more on how I am organizing to come in line with my shifted ministry call. I hope you sense the burden and also have eyes to see the importance of obeying. It has not been an easy move for me. But obedience will always be the right move. Thank you for understanding the period of silence and continuing to notice when I post another episode for the next update. I hope you are referencing old episodes and finding inspiration as you position in the New Year! Blessings!
Today I share some translation of what the LORD has been speaking to me in the waiting. It's a call for you to follow me where the LORD is leading me. May you pray about it and follow the ministry more closely by signing up to receive my blog at intothewaters.com! Blessings in His presence!
Hello! Still in a waiting process with God and bringing you alone so you can hear my prayer language. It's helpful to be still with Him by praying with another and to find inspiration by praying the Word of God. Today we pray into Psalm 62 which is language we speak to our soul to encourage us in God. We pray it through New Covenant eyes because Jesus is the fulfillment of all help, hope, and promises. He is our refuge, our fortress. Our Rock. We will not be shaken! Listen to the end to hear about the Advent series that will be starting via blog only next week! Blessings in His presence!
Today we start right out in prayer. We listen for the words of Jesus who says, "Why are you troubled? Why do doubts arise in your hearts?" Our Suffering Savior, our Victorious King is our life and promise. We need not be troubled. His Word is our assurance. He never leaves nor forsakes. So we cling. We abide in the waiting. We call upon Him as dependent children, that He may lift us up and strengthen us in the waiting. This life is not your home. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Blessings in His presence! Listen until the end to hear about the new content being released in the blog and why it is important to be in the know during these dark spiritual times. Visit intothewaters.com to sign up.
Today I pray a prayer over you and then we slow it down and you pray the same prayer. I give you pauses so that you can talk to the LORD in the language I share. Pray outloud. Let Him hear your voice. Put passion and emotion into the prayer language. Go deeper. Open up. He loves you and is present to comfort and heal and help. Blessings in God's presence! Today we'll be praying through 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 and Lamentations 3:22-26. There are cries of the heart contained within each, promises of being sustained alone by the LORD. The days are evil, this is a message I am supposed to be sharing more and more. Our only peace shall be found in the LORD Jesus. We are waiting. We are waiting for his deliverance. We are to be taking our eyes off this world and looking alone to Him. Press in and share these type of messages with others so they strengthen themselves for the coming days and look to Him to be sustained.
How does God mainly speak to us? He speaks to us by His Word. The Holy Spirit puts scripture on our heart. As we meditate on the Word that speaks, our thoughts are redirected to His mind, His will, His heart. Right now the Spirit of God is longing for His people to return to Him, to return to their first love. He is asking us to turn from friendship with the world. In my waiting, this is a repetitive message that is coming. For our own sake and safety, we need to come out of the world. I pray that is a message for you to meditate upon. Times are evil. Put no hope in worldly systems or prosperity. Trust in God alone. Be reflective as you listen to the prayer and be willing to meditate on wordly things the LORD is calling you to turn from. Blessings in His presence!
James 1:5-8 is our scripture focus for what to do in the waiting. God does not despise our asking. He gives generously and without reproach. Our part is belief. Oftentimes when He gives wisdom it will be contrary to our own ways and thoughts. He can challenge us to come out from the crowd and operate in a way that reveals His life and power. Too many shrink back and do not want that type of attention. Too many Christians want to blend in and be liked versus being obedient and following the leading of the Spirit. If you are someone who want wisdom, position for belief. It's the only solid ground to stand on by faith. Blessings in His presence! Please share us with a friend! Visit intothewaters.com for more.
As most are aware, the LORD is shifting me. In this time, I am in a holding pattern. Holding patterns are hard. It requires waiting without knowing. So what does waiting without knowing look like? Waiting with God is active and hope filled. We are to wait with expectation. Though I've felt great pressure during this time, I find peace and rest in time with God. He will bring me through. If that speaks to you, join me as I share a little how waiting and hope are intertwined. And how there is a picture behind hope in Hebrew, a rope. The rope represents an attachment that builds expectation. Press in during the waiting, the breakthrough is coming! Blessings in His presence!
Today position to hide yourself in the Peace who alone is Jesus. He is the Lamb in the midst of the throne who will shepherd us and lead us to eternal fountains of living waters. He is our focus of worship as we wait expectantly for His return and our homecoming. Blessings in His presence!
When we pray the psalms, we pray them through the New Covenant. Follow along today as we use Psalm 121 as inspiration. Jesus is referenced. He is the Maker of Heaven and earth, Colossians 1:15-17 & John 1:1-3. We look beyond our mountains of problems and beyond forces of darkness attempting to destroy us, instead looking to Jesus. We are on a path of ascent to know Him and be transformed into His likeness. Worship Him in this way today! Visit intothewaters.com to sign up for our email blog! And leave a review if these prayer exercises help you!
Today is a breath prayer exercise that coaches you into the place of eternal youth, the perpetual childlike state that is ours in Christ. You come as a saint that sits, a mature believer who is unashamed to look upon Him as a child of God who looks at Him with trust and expectation. Let go of the facade of having it all together and being in control. Come and rest and experience His peace! Blessings in His presence! Visit intothewaters.com to sign up for our email blog!
Are you struggling with upset over what we are seeing? Are you taking sides? We need to be very careful right now because there is a spiritual work of darkness ramping up for us to hate one another, hate others, target people as enemies. Take time to confess it in this prayer time. And then agree with this prayer for all. Let God's word penetrate your heart and revive you in His commands. If you surrender to Him, it will bring you peace! Blessings in His presence! Visit intothewaters.com to sign up for our email blog!
Today's prayer exericse is a devotion on greater glory for the afflicted. The meek shall inherit the earth. We are to not look at the things unseen, but that which is unseen. We have great promises in Christ for now and forever! Simply follow along. Listen meditatively. Deep breathing. Be reflection. Agree with truths you hear along the way. Enjoy this time in God's presence! Blessings!
Over the last handful of days the LORD has been confirming to me the redirection He is calling for in this season. I mention that briefly in this podcast and also lay out some scripture-based truth on our call to pray for Israel. We need to be reminded it is not based upon what our eyes see. It is not based upon human behavior. It is based upon covenant love. Be reminded today that God has a plan for Israel, the same way he had a plan for us pagans. In John 15, Jesus is the vine and His Father (our Father) is the vinedresser. There is a pruning done by the Father to cut off things that we may bear greater fruit. What is God cutting off right now? And there is an abiding that Jesus calls for. What is abiding? Follow along and "see" if you are abiding in these 4 ways. Confess what may be true! Blessings in His presence!

Would people describe you as gentle? Whether man or woman, the Apostle Paul instructs us to let our gentleness be evident to all because the LORD is near, Philippians 4:5. Especially in circumstances when it is not warranted, like in situations with "enemies". The LORD tells us to bless our enemies, and in so doing, this will heap burning coals on their head. So meditate on the gentleness the LORD calls us to in this time of breath prayer and silence. Blessings in His presence!
