In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. — Romans 8:37 In times of uncertainty and seeming chaos, it's natural for people to seek out a strong leader to restore order and bring resolution. It may be a military hero, a political figure, or a charismatic leader. We often look to our own resources to bring stability to a volatile situation, don't we? Yet when we discover the ultimate victor and King, Jesus Christ, we learn, as he states in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Through his triumph over sin and death, Jesus declares victory over every force that opposes God and his plan of restoration. His victory brings hope to believers, promising peace and triumph despite the trials and struggles they may endure. In light of this, Paul boldly proclaims in Romans 8, “In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” The victory Jesus won through his death and resurrection is now shared with his followers. Our identity in Christ transforms us into victors who have new, full life forever in Christ. When we align with Jesus, no other power or influence can defeat us or keep us down. Victorious King, thank you for securing the ultimate triumph for us. Guide us to walk with confidence today, knowing that nothing we encounter can ultimately hold back your good purposes for our lives. Amen.

Pastor Zac Hess - Do you follow / worship / adore the victorious King?
On this Good Friday, we reflect on the central symbol of our faith—the cross—not as a sign of defeat, but as the throne of our King. In this episode, we explore Mark 15:1–39 and discover how the cross reveals Jesus not only as the suffering servant, but as the victorious Son of God. Through Roman irony, prophetic fulfillment, and a striking portrait of substitutionary love, we see how Jesus reigns through suffering—not despite it.Is Jesus truly the King? This message invites you to behold Christ as the Innocent, Suffering, and Victorious King who gave His life in exchange for sinners and triumphed over sin, Satan, and death. Join us as we journey to the foot of the cross to see glory in what looked like shame—and a crown formed by thorns.
Pastor Jeremy preaches out of Revelation 19, declaring the victorious return of Jesus as King of kings and Lord of lords, riding in glory to judge and make war in righteousness. He calls the Church to live with urgency, worship with reverence, and intercede boldly, knowing that Christ's second coming will bring both final justice and eternal hope.
As believers, it is vital that we have a strong understanding of the cross. Through it, Christ is eternally established as the Victorious King, who has permanently defeated the devil. Because of the cross, we should be ecstatic about our position and also recognize all He is doing. He has given us power and authority, and a unique calling to draw everyone to Himself. When Jesus declared, "It is finished," He wasn't just speaking of the end of His suffering—He was proclaiming the total defeat of the enemy and the completion of His redemptive work. But what exactly is finished? Jesus dismantled the enemy's claim to all authority and secured our victory forever. So why do we so often give power back to a defeated enemy by fighting battles Jesus already won? Instead of striving, how do we truly stand in the finished work of the cross and live confidently in His victory?

In Revelation 19 John sees the bride that replaces the harlot. A bride clothed in bright linen, who gives glory to the Lamb, rather than glorying in herself (like the harlot). Next, John sees the Bridegroom. He comes charging out of Heaven on a white horse with eyes of fire and many crowns on His head! He comes to the battle with His garments already stained in blood and with a sword coming out of His mouth! He comes with His bridal army following in His footsteps. It is an epic picture of how Christ conquers the nations with the Gospel! A powerful image of what He is doing to day through His church! Join us as we worship, fellowship together, and learn about our Conquering and Victorious King! He will reign until every enemy is put under His feet!

In this episode, we discuss the story of Saul's battle against the Ammonites in 1 Samuel 11, an important but often overlooked chapter in Israel's history. This event represents stage two in the process of becoming a king in ancient Israel: the testing or proving of the king in battle. Stage one is the anointing, which we covered in 1 Samuel 9–10, and stage three is the coronation, a celebration of the king after proving their trustworthiness in battle. Saul, who was fearful and hesitant when first proclaimed king, is depicted as a passive leader at the outset of this story. Rather than rallying Israel to fight its enemies, he is found working in the fields, far removed from his royal duty. Yet, despite his reluctant and timid leadership, Saul steps up when the people are threatened by the Ammonites. He leads Israel to a victorious battle, even crediting the victory to God. By the end of this story, Saul has successfully passed through stage two, proving himself worthy of the kingship, at least for the moment. But how does Saul's experience compare to the ultimate King, Jesus Christ? We turn to Hebrews 2:10 to see how Jesus passed through His own stage two of proving Himself. Unlike Saul, whose test was a single battle, Jesus' proving was an entire life of struggle, overcoming the temptations and challenges of living in human flesh. Hebrews tells us that Jesus was made perfect through suffering, demonstrating His worthiness to be the King who brings salvation. Through His continuous victory over sin and temptation, Jesus proves Himself as the perfect King who pioneers and perfects a new humanity within himself, opening the way for others to fllow in his steps, all the way to glory. Join us as we explore this powerful story and draw connections between Saul's temporary victory and Jesus' eternal triumph as the true King. Key Passages: 1 Samuel 10:17-11:15 Hebrews 2:10, 18 - Jesus suffered during his temptation Explainer Video on how to use www.biblehub.com and www.blueletterbible.org Leave us a question or comment at our website podcast page. * Intro Music: "Admirable" Carlos Herrera Music --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/onelifenash/support

Bottom line: Jesus meets our deepest needs because Jesus is all we need. When we understand who Jesus is (Lord, Savior, Victorious King) and what He has to offer us (salvation, forgiveness, lordship, victory, etc.), then we don't have to look anywhere else to find what we truly need. In Jesus we have all that we need because Jesus is all we need.

This series is called "King Jesus." In it, we explore what the Bible tells us the Gospel is. This Easter Sunday we talk about why Jesus' Resurrection matters. Jesus' death and Resurrection restore the image of God in us and it enables us to live the life God called us to live.
Many want victory before the cross, but true victory comes after the resurrection. “Behold your King is coming to you, lowly and sitting on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Matthew 21:5 Jesus of Nazareth, our Victorious King, was en route to the cross, for only in His death and resurrection can we have eternal life, true freedom, the greatest victory!

Christmas is a wonderful time of year. Except when it isn't. Sometimes all is not calm and all is not bright. And yet, there is a promise that Christmas gives us that can ground no matter how dark life might get. Join us for Christmas Eve at Christ Church as we Behold our Victorious King.
Jesus has come as a Servant Savior.Jesus is coming as a Victorious King. But we are in-between those two comings. What should we do while we wait? How do we wait well? Jesus addressed this in Mark 11, where He implored us to stay awake! He wasn't instructing us to load up on latte's or Red Bull's. In normal Jesus fashion, He made a simple statement with a profound meaning.
This Advent season, we are celebrating the arrival of Jesus Christ our King. We are learning more about and responding to five characteristics of King Jesus: Humble, Suffering, Victorious, Savior, Perfect. We will pray together, asking God to show more of each characteristic in our world today.

Today we start right out in prayer. We listen for the words of Jesus who says, "Why are you troubled? Why do doubts arise in your hearts?" Our Suffering Savior, our Victorious King is our life and promise. We need not be troubled. His Word is our assurance. He never leaves nor forsakes. So we cling. We abide in the waiting. We call upon Him as dependent children, that He may lift us up and strengthen us in the waiting. This life is not your home. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Blessings in His presence!
