Podcast by Ron Paul Liberty Report
It's rare, but politicians and central bankers sometimes (accidentally) tell the truth. This week, Jerome Powell claimed The Fed, which unconstitutionally counterfeits trillions of dollars, has little understanding about inflation. They're apparently 'surprised' that counterfeiting trillions caused prices to skyrocket. Central planning always fails. We desperately need to use sound money again. In a rare press conference after the Madrid NATO Summit today, President Biden was asked how long Americans should expect to pay high gas prices over the Ukraine conflict. Biden's response was flippant: "for as long as it takes." He also blamed high food prices on "Russia, Russia, Russia." Are Americans buying it? Also today: They're turning West Point into "Woke Point" and some retired grads are steaming!

After two days in a luxurious German castle, President Biden and the rest of the G7 leaders pledged to continue shipping an endless pipeline of dollars to Ukraine, even as the war continues to be lost. With western enthusiasm waning, however, is this just hot air? Also today at G7: Don't say Covid! Finally today - US military recruiters find little interest among young Americans. Why?
In another case of who is leaking and why, the New York Times has revealed that the CIA is heavily involved in training and advising Ukraine in its war with Russia. As former CIA official Larry Johnson writes, this is a very selective leak from the US government. So we need to read between the lines to answer why. Also today...one day before NATO's Madrid summit the talk is all about escalation.
The posturing that inflation is such a "surprise" is typical, but shameful nevertheless. No one should be surprised that prices are skyrocketing after the government spent many trillions that it doesn't have. Further, it was only able to spend those trillions because the Fed counterfeited the money out-of-thin-air. Today's economic suffering could not be more predictable.
In a stunning 6-3 decision, the US Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional the New York requirement that applicants for a concealed carry handgun permit must show a special cause for the request. The Second Amendment "protects an individual's right to carry a handgun for self-defense outside the home," wrote Justice Clarence Thomas in the majority opinion. Also today: Biden's top economic advisor claims the best way out of inflation is...more government spending! Get your EARLY BIRD tickets for the RPI Conference! President Biden is set to announce a temporary suspension of the federal gasoline tax in the face of record gas prices in the US. However, with gas prices around five dollars per gallon, the 18 cents per gallon savings equals about two dollars per tank savings. Is this a band-aid on a gushing wound? Also today, only 11 percent of Americans buy the "Putin price hike" rhetoric. And...Congress expands US economic war on China with new import ban.
UN World Food Program head David Beasley announced yesterday that global food rations for refugees will need to be cut in half due to the unprecedented food crisis. How much of this crisis is man-made as the elites use food as a weapon in what has turned out to be a futile effort to punish Russia? How much of the food and energy crisis is actually being cheered by those pushing the "green" agenda? Also today: Slovakia miffed that Germany won't replace junky Soviet tanks sent to Ukraine with shiny new German models for free.
Sen. Jonn Cornyn (R-TX) and nine other Republicans in the Senate have crossed over to support "compromise" legislation to move the US further toward "red flag" gun laws, where a Constitutional right can be taken without due process. Texans told Cornyn what they think of him and his compromise at the TX GOP state convention last week. The legislation may make it to the Floor this week. Also today: Did Lithuania just spark WWIII?
The failure of central planning is manifesting in our world again, this time from The Fed. There's no "right way" to plan the economy, or to manipulate interest rates, or to counterfeit money. It's all wrong and destructive! The only fix is to End The Fed and to use sound money once again.
The rhetoric at the NATO summit this week is predictable: we must send more weapons to Ukraine! But behind the rehearsed facade, there are increasing cracks in the alliance...and among the peoples of Europe. Even Blinken is changing his tune a bit...
With the country crippled by record gas prices, President Biden has taken to yelling at oil companies for NOT drilling. But didn't he promise to end drilling and fossil fuels? Also today: horrific cost of covid lockdowns revealed. And - "Inflation? Ha! We're sending another $650 million for weapons to Ukraine!"
Marx tells us that history repeats itself, the first time as tragedy and the second time as farce. We may be at that stage with the ridiculous January 6 Committee prime-time hearings - staged for television by a former news producer. Chairman Benny Thompson swears "no criminal referrals" will be handed down while Pelosi's hand-picked Republican ranking member Liz Cheney rebuts him with "not so fast!" Far from justice, these hearings demonstrate that DC Dems are in a box of their own making. Also today: Poland demands new weapons to replace the old weapons they shipped to Ukraine.
Thanks to the diligent work of Sens. Grassley and Hawley - and a whistleblower from within the Department of Homeland Security - we now know that DHS's work on the "Disinformation Governance Board" began back in September, 2021, not this spring as DHS Secretary Mayorkas testified. Also we know from leaked documents that the focus was not on "foreign adversaries" but was to focus on “conspiracy theories about the validity and security of elections” and “disinformation related to the origins and effects of COVID-19 vaccines or the efficacy of masks.” Also: smoking gun proof that DHS senior officials sought high-level meetings with Twitter to push censorship of Americans! Will more Senators show interest in these lies and attacks on the First Amendment? Every excuse in the book is given for inflation. But inflation has a single source: The Fed and the immoral fractional-reserve banking system. Why waste time on the periphery? Perhaps it's to make sure that the "system" continues? That's unacceptable. Go to the source!
RPI Founder Ron Paul addresses the 4 June 2022 conference: The Biden Doctrine: New World Order or Nuclear Armageddon? Don't forget to mark your calendars! Sept. 3rd in Dulles, VA: 'Anatomy of a Police State' - Ron Paul Institute's Summer Washington Conference!
In what may be the high water mark for the "Soros DAs," San Francisco voters have, by a large majority, decided to remove District Attorney Chesa Boudin from office. Crime surged while Boudin fired prosecutors, leading a Chinese-American community spearheaded drive to return to some sanity in SF. Will L.A. and the rest of California follow? Also today, are you ready for the Jan. 6th Commission propaganda hearings?
As Americans face record gas prices and inflation, President Biden has invoked the Defense Production Act to produce more "green" energy alternatives like solar and batteries. Will this do the trick? Also today, CDC tries to push masks for monkeypox and Poland tells its citizens to gather sticks if they get cold or hungry as energy prices soar.
NATO has chosen to launch war games near Russia's border precisely when the US and UK are sending longer range multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine and when the Russian president has warned that any rockets hitting Russia would incur a big response. What's the game here? Bigger war? Also today: Read-out from the big RPI conference on Saturday and more... Every form of authoritarianism has been tried (many times over) in an attempt to turn free human beings into obedient robots. The failure rate is 100%. "Woke" Capitalism, with "ESG scores" for corporations, and "social credit scores" for individuals, are merely the newest iteration. They too are destined for disaster. The costliest lesson in all of economic and political history is that freedom always prevails.
The verdict in the Sussman case may seem like just another example of Hillary Clinton "getting away with it." And it is. But there is far more to be concerned about in the case. Also today: Supremes smack down Texas social media law and UK Guardian slams Russia sanctions as counterproductive.
While promising not to send longer-range missiles to Ukraine, President Biden announced that he's sending longer-range missiles to Ukraine. He also unveiled an additional $700 million in weapons for Ukraine (is this part of the $40 billion...or is that already used up?). Also today: EUROPOL (finally) wakes up to the nightmare of billions in weapons flooding Europe from Ukraine.
A former Goldman Sachs official now working for the Chinese giant Alibaba revealed at Davos recently that a new global tracking system of "where you go, what you eat, etc" will soon be in operation to monitor and report on how "green" individuals are behaving. What was once derided as conspiracy theory has become conspiracy fact. Also today: California deep dives into medical tyranny and MSM continues to walk back its (mis)-reporting on Ukraine.
One by one, the US mainstream media outlets are lining up to (finally) let a bit of truth leak out after three months of incessant propaganda: Ukraine is being destroyed in the war. How many have unnecessarily died because the likes of Boris Johnson and Biden have prohibited a negotiated settlement? Also today, US/EU sanctions on Russia have backfired. Like always. Bonus: What was Ron Paul doing this weekend?
Russia is a commodities powerhouse; China a manufacturing powerhouse. Both nations have tremendous stockpiles of gold, nuclear weapons and major trading relationships around the world. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve has printed trillions of dollars, the U.S. government intervenes in all aspects of our lives and endless wars have economically devastated us. The "land of the free" took a terrible turn, and must head back to freedom.
A new AP poll released this week shows for the first time that Americans are souring on "Putin's price hike" as a cost of propping up Ukraine in its war with Russia. Six and seven dollar a gallon gas plus raging inflation have brought the cost of an interventionist foreign policy home to the US and Americans are not happy. Also today, Zelensky's top aide has some colorful words for Ukraine's western sponsors. And...are you ready for Monkeypox? It's the "latest thing."
The 1st and 2nd Amendments have always been under attack, and they always will be. That should give you a good indication as to how important they both are. Every individual is free to do good, or to do ill. Everyone has a choice to lie or commit criminal acts of violence. Thus, the freedom to speak the truth (1st Amendment) and to defend oneself against criminality (2nd Amendment) are paramount.
Today, we're happy to have a special guest: Jack Spirko, host of The Survival Podcast; and who specializes in self-sufficiency, self-reliance and personal liberty. In our age of aggressive government intervention, mixed with corporatism, Jack provides insights on navigating our way through.
When it comes to the economy and money, you can't "fake it until you make it." If you try to fake it, you'll never make it. Ever since the founding of the Federal Reserve in 1913, America has been on a path to economic calamity. There aren't many grains of sand left in the hour glass. Major changes will have to be made soon.
The baby formula crisis is yet another disaster that must result from government & giant corporations working hand-in-hand. So-called "government regulations," which include massive subsidies and protectionism, must be replaced free markets and open competition. Otherwise Americans should not be surprised to keep getting more of the same outcomes.
After an outcry over the creation of a "Ministry of Truth" within the Department of Homeland Security - with a champion disinformation-spreader hired to fight disinformation - the Biden Administration announced the program is on "pause" and the kooky director has resigned. But this is a government power grab so they can hit the "play" button at any time. Also today, champion doxxed Taylor Lorenz blames Disinfo Board demise on the "far right." And...George W. Bush accidentally tells the truth.
And the winner of "never let a crisis go to waste" is Turkey's Erdogan, who vows to block NATO membership for Finland and Sweden unless his shopping list of concessions is fulfilled by the US, EU, and NATO. Who will blink? Also today: Greece gets in on the "give us something" game. Finally: Washington Post and NYTimes drop serious disinformation on Azov surrender in Mariupol. Will Nina Jankowicz go after them?
This morning only eleven Senators - all Republican - voted against a MASSIVE giveaway to Ukraine, even as Americans suffer at home. Meanwhile, NATO assured Ukraine that its support is "open ended." War is coming closer...and now Finland and Sweden are about to enter the war mix. What could go wrong?
Fresh off his trip to Kiev, wandering the streets of a supposed war zone with America's adopted "hero" Zelensky, Senate Minority Leader out-hawked Biden's hawks, demanding the Russia be named a "State Sponsor of Terrorism." Does he even understand what the term means? Also today: Sen. Paul brutalized for just suggesting we keep track of the billions we send to Ukraine. Also...did the White House lie about vaccine availability in a recent Tweet? Disinformation? Nina?
Government is not a problem-solver, but a problem multiplier. In an effort to make college "more affordable" and "more accessible," students now live under mountains of debt. All of this credit has naturally driven up the price of going to college as well. Now government, in yet another effort to "help," is thinking about forcing everyone else to pick up the tab. The worst words in the English language remain unchanged: "I'm from government, and I'm here to help."
After a series of Administration "leaks" regarding US involvement in the killing of Russian generals and the sinking of the Moskva, the Biden Administration is seeking to plug the leaks and to clarify the types of intel it would share with Ukraine. The goal is to avoid becoming a party to the war. But has that ship already sailed? Also today: prepping in Alaska to fight Russia and China...and Biden's 'Disinfo' Czar wants to edit your Tweets.
With just 57 "no" votes - all of them Republicans - the US House last night in a rushed vote ADDED nearly eight billion dollars to Biden's massive $30 billion Ukraine military bill. This represents some eight times the ANNUAL Ukraine military budget! Also today: Biden claims fighting inflation his top priority. Shock poll shows Americans don't care who wins in Ukraine. Chicago mayor calls for insurrection!
A corruption watchdog group has examined National Institutes of Health records and determined that as much as $300 million dollars has been paid to NIH employees, including Fauci, over the past ten years as "royalties" for their discoveries. Is this unique, or just another example of the evils of public/private entities. Also today, the Pentagon is scrambling for new weapons to send to Ukraine - weapons makers are thrilled. Finally: as to be expected, Congress adds a few billion to Biden's military aid package to Ukraine (while Americans pay up to seven dollars for a gallon of gas).
Government spending is through the roof. A few trillion for "Covid," a few tens of billions for "Ukraine" and a massive military budget. Americans are feeling inflation every time they go to the gas station, the grocery store, anywhere. US actions overseas threaten the dollar as the world's reserve currency. Yesterday Sen. Rand Paul hammered Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkis over the Agency's creation of a "Disinformation Governance Board" - i.e. a government-run ministry of truth. A new article in Politico reminds us of a dark era in US history when a very similar government entity was created...to disastrous results. Also today...US official admits Washington is helping kill Russian generals. What could go wrong?
