Oftentimes the issues that carry the most weight are the ones we stay the quietest on. Questions and discussions on topics like race, politics, religion, and abortion are critical to the health of our society but all too often men shy away from speaking up when it matters most. We can argue on back decks and in barbershops all day about Ford vs Chevy or whether Jordan or Lebron is the GOAT(Jordan obviously) but we hesitate to tackle the conversations that truly make a difference. Our guest in this episode is Joshua Edmonds, the Executive Director of Georgia Life Alliance. After years spent working in government, city planning, and election strategy he now travels the country speaking on Pro-Life Issues and leading the largest Pro-Life advocacy group in Georgia. In this episode we discuss how, and why, men should let their voices be heard in order to foster a culture of life in our society. The "Happy Wife, Happy Life" Myth

Happy wife, happy life…When said in it’s purest form it is a beautiful thought. It’s great to try and make your wife happy…and her you.But when this phrase is uttered it’s rarely meant in a pure sense. It typically means a man has to do whatever he can to keep peace in the house or else…There will be hell to pay. After all, if the wife isn’t happy, nobody is happy. When a relationship is set up that way it usually leads a man to lose himself. He becomes subservient, submissive, walking on egg shells to keep the Misses happy…Essentially sacrificing himself and his manhood. This seems easier and better than dealing with the consequences of not doing it.Well, it’s not easier.A man’s job is not to make his wife happy at all costs…just like it’s not her job to do that for him.Ever heard “happy husband, happy life”? Me either…We are responsible for our own happiness for through Him we have obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory or God. Romans 5:2THAT is where our happiness is derived. And it is definitely not a man’s job to surrender himself, his manhood, and all he stands for just to “keep the peace” and not rock the boat. Rather, a goal that each member of the partnership strives to achieve for each other. This attitude in marriage is seen far too often and needs to stop.Marriage is a 50/50 proposition. That’s the only way it can work.In today’s episode Justin and Jason address this issue and give tactics you can apply to reverse the trend if this is something you are dealing with in your marriage. If it is something you are dealing with then you MUST give this episode a listen…Highlights from the episode:-How proper communication can break the “happy wife, happy life” cycle-Why the “happy wife, happy life” attitude is incredibly emasculating -Why a supportive wife won’t agree with the “happy wife, happy life” philosophy -THE number one killer of marriages and what to do about it-Fixing this number one marriage killer can completely transform your relationship-Why focusing on YOU can be the answer to many of your marital problems Also, below is the link to access our Private Facebook page for men only. In this episode, Justin and Jason use their 30+ years of combined experience in the fitness industry to blow up 5 of the biggest myths when it comes to fat loss. The myths and untruths in the fitness world are incredibly pervasive.Unfortunately, there are too many trainers, coaches, nutritionists, etc who are misinformed and under educated when it comes to fat loss.Very few take the time to do the actual research. This results in them becoming stagnant in their thinking and teaching the same things for years to their clients. Even though research and science has evolved…they fail to evolve with it.Because of this, the same old myths continue to hang around and continue to be repeated until they are engrained in our heads and we start to accept them as actual scientific truth. It’s a shame because we have lead people down a path to where they believe losing weight has to be this next to impossible journey that only the select uber dedicated few can obtain. However…The path to fat loss is actually quite simple. Not always easy. But simple.Fat loss is a math equation. That’s it.And meaningful fat loss can be obtained without completely disrupting your life, without giving up all the foods you love, and without spending hours in the gym.Listen to Justin and Jason discuss this topic and expose the myths that may be holding you back from achieving your fat loss goals.Highlights from the episode:-Is cardio the best way to lose weight and burn fat?-Why the gym IS NOT an effective fat burner.-Why you can eat the carbs you love and STILL lose weight.-Your age has little bearing on your metabolism -You do not have to eat a totally clean diet to lose weightIf fat loss is a goal of yours be sure to check this episode out! Creating a vision, a plan, and setting goals is essential if you are going to make 2019 better than 2018.As men, we must do what we can to thrive in the 5 key areas of life (faith, family, fitness, finances, and friendships). But to thrive in those areas we have to have a vision for what we want them to look like , goals we need to accomplish to get us there, and plan to make it happen.I think a lot of men know this but fail to do it because they simply don’t know how. They don’t have the structure or framework to do it properly.Well, not anymore. In this episode Justin and Jason lay out that framework so you can sit down and map out your 2019 (and also your life).Take this exercise seriously and you will see tremendous growth in 2019.Take a look at the people who have accomplished great things in this world and you will see that they implemented some variation of this process. It’s a game changer. So, if you know you need and vision and plan for your life but aren’t sure how to get started then listening to this episode is step one.We hope you enjoy!Highlights from the episode:Why having a vision and plan for your life/year is essential for success. Why a mindset of scarcity will hold you back from your goals. How to have a mindset of abundance instead and why this mindset will make your goals and vision more attainable. Why your eulogy is the first step to crafting your vision?? A tad morbid but true. How to use your eulogy to reverse engineer the process of yearly and quarterly goals and planning. How Jason uses this same process when he starts a business. Why not doing the most important task of your day first can really hold you back from success. Why mental toughness and discipline need to be at the heart of this entire process. Also, below is the link to access our Private Facebook page for men only.
