Welcome back to yet another week of The Advantage Line Podcast! This week, the show is led by the dynamic duo of Karl and Paul as hosts, who of course also have a couple of the regulars in Searley and Teddy to make up the four-man panel. The show starts in normal fashion this week, with the lads, led by Paul, going over last round's punting and how everyone fared on that front. This is then followed up by a game where, as a team, the panel had to try to name as many players who have played a certain rugby league position in 60 seconds. A new segment is then introduced, as Karl brings out some old Rugby League Week magazines and the fellas look back at some of the headlines and try to see what they remember from those times. Once again, to close out the show, it is punting time, with the crew making their picks for the upcoming round of footy.

In this episode of the Loan Officer Podcast, host Dustin Owen is joined by Marketing Mike and producer Karina Mojica for an in-depth discussion on why 2027 presents a unique and promising opportunity for mortgage professionals to significantly grow their market share. The trio delves into the current state of the mortgage industry, analyzing the factors that set successful originators apart from those who are struggling in today's competitive environment. They emphasize the importance of maintaining consistency in daily activities, prioritizing proactive prospecting, and focusing on building strong, lasting relationships with clients and referral partners, rather than simply waiting for market conditions to improve. Dustin shares his personal 80/20 rule for business growth: dedicating 80% of one's time and resources to tried-and-true strategies that have consistently delivered results, while allocating the remaining 20% to experimenting with innovative new approaches and technologies. This balanced approach, he explains, allows originators to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to changing market dynamics without losing sight of what works. Throughout the episode, the hosts also highlight upcoming industry events, including the highly anticipated Top Unite Caribbean Cruise, which offers mortgage professionals a unique opportunity to network, learn, and recharge in a dynamic setting. In addition, the episode features sponsors who provide valuable coaching programs and resources designed to help originators elevate their business, sharpen their skills, and achieve long-term success in the ever-evolving mortgage landscape. A former top-ranked City of London stockbroker has written a manual for winning at business, politics and life. There's just one catch: to follow it, you'd have to think like a psychopath. Geraint Anderson, the man behind the legendary "Cityboy" column, tells BizNews editor Alec Hogg why he built his new book around Trump, Musk and the 'manosphere', how a near-fatal motorbike crash changed his mind about the game he was winning, and why the book is now selling harder in South Africa than almost anywhere else. He also explains, only half-joking, why he's booked in to be clinically assessed for psychopathy himself.
In this episode, I sit down with Cebron Walker, owner of Walker Creative and a true expert in veterinary marketing, to dive deep into how independent veterinary practices can not only survive but truly thrive in today's rapidly changing landscape. Plus, we cover some of the most common marketing pitfalls like relying on generic Canva graphics and what you should be doing instead to make your marketing truly effective. Whether you're a practice owner, manager, or marketer, this episode is packed with practical insights and next steps you can put into action right away. Each transition built upon the last, proving that legal careers don't have to follow a straight line. In this special class in honour of his birthday, Rabbi Yisroel Bernath explores one of the most misunderstood human traits: sensitivity. While the world often tells us to toughen up and grow thicker skin, Chassidus teaches that the goal is not to suppress our emotions but to refine them. Drawing from Tanya, Torah Or, Likkutei Torah, and the teachings of the Rebbeim, Rabbi Bernath explains that some souls are created to feel more deeply because they are called to illuminate more deeply. Participants discover the difference between being emotionally controlled and spiritually refined, learn why criticism, overwhelm, and empathy affect certain people so intensely, and gain practical Chassidic tools for transforming emotional vulnerability into inner strength, purpose, and closeness to G-d.Key PointsWhy some people are born with “thinner skin and deeper souls.” The world's advice: harden yourself. Rachel Explains How to Win Big Brother Host Taran Armstrong welcomes winner Rachel for a “How to Win Big Brother” strategy conversation, where they unpack what it takes to navigate new school Big Brother just as BB28 looms. In this winner-focused episode, Rachel shares her hard-won advice from BB13 and her recent run, comparing how the BB26 house operates now with its chaotic HOH reigns, ever-changing Veto stakes, and game-flipping arenas. Taran and Rachel discuss how “creating your own luck” is a must, as social maneuvering often trumps brute comp wins in this era. They break down why nobody can coast, how returnees are both targets and assets, and why masterminds must adapt their play for every season. Rachel's tips also include jury management, reading shifting house moods, and why even bold personalities need to build real bonds before making big moves. Expect strategy stories, mistakes to avoid, and honest talk about the pressure to win the vote in the end. Rachel insists “you have to make everyone like you”—social connections are the best shield from random twists. In BB26, even the tightest allies can find themselves nominated, so players must be both prepared for anything and quick to form new alliances. Taran spotlights that returnees need to reinvent their games; copying old strategies rarely works the same way twice. Smart players use questions and genuine curiosity to form deep connections, setting up “jury votes” long before the finale. Emotional control matters: Rachel and Taran share lessons on when to bite your tongue in the house and only vent to the Diary Room. With power shifts looming and BB28 casting soon, the BB26 lessons are clear—adapt or get left behind. Chelsie Reveals How to Win Big Brother Big Brother 26 takes center stage as host Taran Armstrong kicks off the “How to Win Big Brother” series with special guest and BB26 winner Chelsie. As Big Brother 28 looms, they break down what it really takes to survive the ever-changing game, especially with new twists and unpredictable power shifts keeping everyone on their toes. In this strategy-packed episode, Taran and Chelsie use the chaos of BB26—featuring the game-changing blockbuster competition that forces three nominees and adds last-minute drama—to talk through the best moves for new houseguests. Chelsie stresses the importance of building a strong social game from minute one, explaining why adaptability trumps having a rigid game plan. Together, they dissect common mistakes, like barking up the wrong alliance tree, putting trust in showmances, and agreeing to be a pawn (bad idea!). From navigating HOH pressures and unpredictable veto outcomes to preparing for the physical demands of late-game competitions, this episode's packed with examples and practical advice—straight from Chelsie's journey to the end. Chelsie breaks down why social strategy always comes before comp wins—your safety is in relationships, not just power. The blockbuster twist shakes up HOH strategy; putting up an ally as a pawn is almost always a recipe for disaster. Never volunteer to go on the block: Taran and Chelsie agree, pawns make easy targets, and repeat nominations paint a target on your back. Endgame comp beasts set the tone, but Chelsie shares why flexibility—not just training—keeps players off the block and in control. Showmances offer drama but rarely win—trusting them, or trying to use them, often backfires for new players. As alliances form and break and every HoH faces tougher choices, the lesson is clear: adaptability and social savvy win games, not just comp strength. Can BB28's new houseguests learn from BB26's wild ride and play for themselves this summer? Tune in for all the strategy, stories, and BB wisdom you'll need to get ready for launch night!
