In this episode, Chuck Todd explores the growing bipartisan momentum to rein in Big Tech, noting that while social media’s unintended consequences have already eroded truth and public trust, AI could amplify those failures without strong guardrails. He breaks down why Americans overwhelmingly support protecting kids from tech harms—and why a public revolt is inevitable once people feel they’ve lost control. Chuck also looks at how massive AI investment is masking broader economic weakness before turning to Donald Trump’s botched economic message in Pennsylvania, a “let them eat cake” tone that echoes the same political trap Biden once fell into. With surprising Democratic wins in Miami and Georgia and a demoralizing trend inside the GOP base, the political landscape is shifting fast, especially as ACA subsidies near expiration and no healthcare compromise is in sight. Chuck then pivots to the rise of prediction markets—how they move on insider information, how they could be manipulated by political actors, and why the “casinofication” of news threatens to reduce all political coverage to a risky, easily gamed horse race. Finally, Chuck answers listeners’ questions in the “Ask Chuck” segment and previews the upcoming college football slate. Get your wardrobe sorted and your gift list handled with Quince. Don't wait! Send us a textLooking for proof that traditional media still moves the needle? We go straight to the source with Mickie Kennedy, founder of eReleases, to unpack how press releases win coverage in a world where TikTok clips sit beside front-page headlines. Mickie shares the inside mechanics of newswires, why bloggers and influencers now receive journalist-level access, and how small brands can punch above their weight without burning their budgets. We break down the anatomy of a high-performing press release: a sharp headline, a tight 500-word body, a quote that actually says something, and links that carry specs and visuals without clogging the story. Mickie explains why the best product announcements include a simple use case with outcomes and data, how to elevate your narrative with credible industry stats, and when to route technical details to a clean landing page. If press releases feel mysterious or outdated, this conversation resets the frame: journalists still fish in two main ponds, and your job is to show up with bait they can use.We also dig into process. Learn how to build a small, local media Rolodex and become the expert reporters call on deadline. Get a step-by-step approach to using AI as a drafting assistant—structure first, iterate paragraph by paragraph, and spend extra time on quotes and headlines. Then steal Mickie's most reliable tactic: an industry survey release that consistently produces multiple articles and valuable backlinks. The payoff is real: earned media drives credibility, lifts conversions, and reduces churn when you share placements with leads and customers.Ready to turn attention into trust? This message explores how the grace of God isn't just a gift—it's a force that can increase, multiply, and empower every part of your life when you learn how to maximize it. Pastor Ernst Cochy unpacks what Scripture teaches about grace as divine enablement, the supernatural advantage that causes you to rise, overcome, and succeed. You'll hear how grace operates, why it increases or decreases, and how awareness and obedience position you to receive more of it. Discover why your time, your opportunities, and even your ability to change are expressions of God's grace already at work. Pastor Ernst walks through foundational passages like John 1:14–16 and 2 Corinthians 6:1–2 to show that God is constantly pouring grace on you—but it's your responsibility to discern the moment, cast your cares instead of carrying them, acknowledge the Lord continually, and take bold steps that activate His empowerment. If you've felt stuck, strained, or slowed down, this message will challenge you to shift your focus from yourself to the grace of God—the power steering of the believer's life. Expect practical teaching, strong exhortation, and spiritual clarity that will help you reign in your emotions, your decisions, and your future. In this episode, Fergal shares how Buymedia is continuing its rapid growth, recently launching into the UK market as part of its mission to transform the global advertising landscape. Fergal explains how he is democratising the advertising world for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by leveraging AI to ensure every pound of ad spend delivers real business results. He opens up about his story, his deep competitive drive, and his unexpectedly shy nature. Fergal explains why: Revenues and customers will solve most of the business problems. Why asking “Please tell me where my baby is ugly" to find what is wrong with your product or process early will help you solve it. In Part 3 of the Tremendous Love series, Pastor Maurice Johnson teaches on one of the most unshakable truths in Scripture: God loves you so deeply that He will never strip you of your identity in Christ. Your identity isn't fragile, temporary, or based on your behavior. It was established before the foundation of the world—chosen, adopted, accepted, and sealed by God Himself. Through powerful passages such as Ephesians 1, John 16 and 17, Isaiah 54, and Hebrews 13, this message unfolds the permanence of God's adoption, the unchanging nature of His favor, and the reality that the same love the Father has for Jesus is the love He has for you. Pastor Maurice explains how God sees you as holy and blameless, how He corrects you in love rather than wrath, and how His covenant toward you is more stable than the mountains themselves. If you've ever questioned your standing with God, struggled with shame, or wondered whether your failures disqualify you, this teaching will anchor you. Discover why God will never abandon you, why your identity cannot be undone, and how to walk confidently in the redemption, righteousness, and inheritance you have in Christ. This message will strengthen your faith, renew your assurance, and root you deeper in the tremendous love of God. We are thrilled to have you with us! Join us every Sunday at 11 AM for a powerful time of worship, teaching, and community. Our current gathering location is:
Friday night in Eugene sadly went as most people expected for the Minnesota Gophers as they were dominated by Oregon 42-13. The Oregon Ducks outgained the Minnesota Gophers by 310 yards, amassing 510 on the night. The Minnesota Gophers offense wasn't much to write home about, but it was the defense that continues to be worrisome. With a defense this leaky, should we be worried about beating Wisconsin and retaining the axe? What about being able to beat Northwestern next weekend to finally win a road game? Tuesday was Election Day and Democrats won big! Voters in New York City elected Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani as their next mayor. In Georgia, Democrats won their first statewide elections in 20 years, flipping two seats on the board that controls electricity costs in the state – a direct response to rising power prices. And in New Jersey, Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill won a tough race to keep the state's governor's mansion blue. While in Virginia, former Democratic House Representative Abigail Spanberger won the governor's race, flipping the state's governor's seat back to the Democrats. For more on the Democrats' big night, we spoke with Pod Save America co-host Jon Favreau.Show Notes:Call Congress – 202-224-3121Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/3kk4nyz8What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcastFollow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. In this episode of The Wright Report, Bryan covers Democrats' sweeping election victories, Trump's call to end the Senate filibuster, the possibility of an end to the historic government shutdown, cartel violence in Mexico, and Trump's warning about nuclear weapons testing. Democrats Sweep Elections Nationwide: It was a strong night for Democrats across the country. In Virginia, they won the governor's mansion, attorney general, and 13 new House seats — a political "bloodbath," as local analysts called it. Former CIA officer Abigail Spanberger became governor, while Jay Jones — who once joked about killing a Republican lawmaker and his children — was elected attorney general. Bryan warns these results reveal a growing radicalism within the Left that Americans can't afford to ignore. New York City Elects Its First Socialist Mayor: Zohran Mamdani won handily with foreign-born voters and young progressives, promising free housing, gun bans, and state control over industries. Bryan compares his victory to a "virus of humanity" spreading nationwide, warning that socialism's false promise of "free for all" could gain traction if Republicans fail to deliver economic results. Trump Pushes to End the Filibuster: President Trump renewed his call to eliminate the Senate filibuster after the Democratic sweep, urging Republicans to "terminate it" to pass voter reform and economic bills. Bryan argues that fears of Democrats abusing power later are misplaced — "that horse has already left the barn." Shutdown Nearing Resolution: Ten Democrat senators are now willing to negotiate a deal to reopen the government, marking the longest shutdown in U.S. history. A short-term plan could fund the military while delaying fights over Obamacare subsidies until December. Mexico's Cartel War and Trump's Dilemma: After the murder of Michoacán's mayor by the Jalisco cartel, Trump is weighing covert CIA and special forces operations inside Mexico. Bryan says the President is torn between patience and decisive action — and both paths carry enormous risk. Nuclear Testing and Rising Tensions: The U.S. will restart nuclear weapons testing for the first time since the 1990s, citing proof that Russia and China are secretly conducting their own tests. Bryan explains how new nuclear-powered cruise missiles and underwater drones are reshaping the global threat landscape. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: 2025 election results Democrats sweep, Abigail Spanberger governor Virginia, Jay Jones attorney general threat scandal, Zohran Mamdani socialist NYC mayor, Trump filibuster termination call, U.S. government shutdown negotiations, Michoacán mayor cartel murder, Trump CIA operations Mexico, U.S. nuclear testing restart, Russia China cruise missile Poseidon drone

Today’s episode of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show Podcast balances breaking political triumphs with entertainment headlines and heartfelt tributes. The crew kicks things off celebrating Democrats’ historic wins on Election Night, with new milestones in diversity and representation. According to the New York Times, Democrats swept key races nationwide, from Abigail Spanberger becoming Virginia’s first female governor to Zoran Mamdani making history as New York City’s first Muslim and socialist mayor since 1917. Political analyst Bakari Sellers joins the show to unpack how these victories — driven by high Black voter turnout — signal a rebuke of Trump-era policies and a potential shift in the South’s political map. The conversation pivots to entertainment as Diddy’s legal saga continues — the hip-hop mogul, currently serving time in New Jersey, was spotted reconnecting with old friend and former NBA player Sebastian Telfair behind bars. The episode closes with a somber tribute to No Limit rapper Young Bleed, whose breakout 1998 hit “How You Do That” helped define Baton Rouge’s Southern rap sound. His passing at 51 marks another loss for the golden era of Southern hip-hop. Website: https://www.urban1podcasts.com/rickey-smiley-morning-show See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
