Sports related comedy podcast focusing on Detroit & MSU/UM, but also talking national stories, pop culture, and other random events in the Detroit area.
Everyone wants to change the world, so why don't we start where it matters? Red lights at 7 am on a Tuesday.
Welcome back to the Have Fun Club w/ Nick Bradley. Formerly, and affectionately, known as The 2nd String Pod. For the first time in over a year I am back here. Kinda getting bored of the sports stuff and this time of the year absolutely blows cheeks for it, so I figured it was time to dust this puppy off and get back to making jokes about important things. Like the asshole who legalized car towing companies. Anyways, more important stuff to come. Enjoy.
Went to CRSSD in San Diego this past weekend. A time. Let's talk about it.
Annihilated my knee the other day. Is this the first sign that I am getting to an age where I have to stop doing certain things? I'm not sure I want to carry on if that's the case. Enjoy.
Please stop making me change my password.
How is it possible that people work 8 hours a day and leave their dogs at home... and the dog doesn't piss? There has to be a loophole, right? Is it the bladder of the dog? I see them piss on 40 fire hydrants a day, so I know they piss. What exactly is going on here?!?
Please clean it up, what kind of scumbag are you?
Happy New Year. I love you all. Let's get after it. Also, funny little airport tidbit in there today. Enjoy
With Christmas around the corner, we get into all of the holidays on the calendar and give a little insight on each of them as well as where they rank in the hierarchy. After that, Confessions of a Young Professional is back. First week in the office and man... I forgot what corporate life is like. Enjoy.
Quite the show today. Doesn't get more random than this but I think I made a few good points that'll serve as some well-done food for thought for you today. Enjoy.
After moving I've had to deal with the lack of a few things that I certainly took for granted in my time living at home. Cars and well wrapped burritos. The power to not have to Uber every time you leave the house is a level of liberation I cannot wait to feel again. As well as the unsung heroes behind the counters of fast casual Mexican food establishments who spend their days ensuring each and every burrito out the door is wrapped to the highest level of burrito security. Don't take them for granted. Enjoy.
Good little episode today. I dive into the beauty of Christmas shopping and what to look for this holiday season. And afterwards I get into an experience I recently had at Chipotle that made me question the way that we, as humans, are treated by the food industry. Enjoy.
We are back! The hiatus is over. Turns out moving across the country is kind of the fucking worst when it comes to having time. I get into the move, I get into a little bit of the culture shock, and starting work again, we finally revive COAYP. Enjoy.
Wooooo baby it doesn't get better than this. First half of the episode today I will walk you through, step by step, something that is going to change your life forever. In the second half, I uncover one of the biggest scandals in the food and beverage industry to date. Enjoy.
Let's talk NFTs. And let's talk about they hopefully are going to make me rich one day. Or I just wasted a bunch of money, either way, let's talk about it. Enjoy.
People actually think Pete and Kim K rode a HAUNTED HOUSE ROLLER COASTER HOLDING HANDS and aren't banging?!?!?! Come on now
It's the Dune movie review. Usually I only do movies I absolutely love but I had so much anticipation for Dune, and still enjoyed it, that I felt I had to do an episode on it. I get into what I enjoyed and my predisposed thoughts on the movie, and then I get into what exactly left me wanting more. The one or two things they could've done differently that would've had me thinking about Dune for weeks. Still enjoyed the movie and had a good time recording, hope you enjoy.
Bender in Austin, tougher than being a SEAL. I get into the trials and tribulations of a 3 day weekend in the dog capital of America. Enjoy.
I love me some HP around Halloween. Don't know if it's the magic, warm looking scarves, or the fact that they're big name costumes but Harry Potter always gets me on the same wavelength as spooky szn, and so does the music. I was driving to be glutinous the other day and decided to toss on the HP theme to really get my autumn rocks off. When I went to look I saw it was titled, 'Hedwig's Theme' and from there, chaos ensued. Hope you enjoy.
I watched No Time to Die this past weekend and now I can't get enough Bond. Not only that, but I can't get just the entire spectacle of Bond out of my head, I fucking love it. Enjoy.
I gotta get into it, I can't help myself. All I've seen on twitter for the last week is just hate and venom for the new Sopranos movie and I think I may have a bit of a remedy for it. I think people are viewing this movie through the wrong lens, and sure it isn't anything spectacular but we need to look at it for what it is, a fan service movie. Lighten up and let's have some fun, enjoy.
What an episode. The first ten minutes I get into the sole negative of going back to your alma mater and having the time of your life on a gameday Saturday. And in the latter 22 minutes, I hypothesize what the world would be like if the internet permanently crashed, in honor of Zuckerberg's empire taking a bit of a tumble this week. I had fun doing it, very stand up styled it felt like, hope you enjoy.
This show rules and I couldn't go another day without talking about it. Had a very good time getting into it, hope you enjoy.
What an episode. This is the most fun I've had recording one in a while and these topics couldn't be more random; I love it. Checked my phone the other day and it said "September 27" and I can't piece together how September is ALREADY over... such a tough scene. Later in the day I had a life changing moment, a moment that changed my perspective on life, all while involving a Cheez It and being a total throwaway moment in the grand scheme of things. What a life. Hope you give it a listen, and enjoy!
Haven't uploaded an episode in a few weeks due to a sickness that wouldn't allow me to talk without hacking up a lung. Well I kicked the sicknesses ass and am back and better than ever, figured what better way to get back than to talk about being sick and how much it sucks ass.
It's September, the best month of the year. Sunny days, cool nights, crisp air, and football. Green Day being the song birds of my generation have garnered all kinds of respect over the years but, for the life of me, I cannot figure out why they would ever want to sleep through September. Don't wake me up when September ends cuz I'll kill you for letting me sleep in the first place. Enjoy.
Huge weekend for combat sports junkies to get absolutely baked off some mediocre boxing. First half of the show I get into the Paul-Woodley fight, and in the second half I talk Rough n Rowdy. Both solid, RnR better and with room for easy improvements that would make it 10x better. Enjoy.
Ran into possibly the worst human being on earth this past weekend. Happened on the golf course, guy fucking sucks. Enjoy.
Great episode for you today. First half we talk about college FOMO. Didn't have it so bad last fall with Covid and everything but whoa baby it's coming on like a triple migraine this time around. Second half I get into Bachelor in Paradise and what makes it the IDEAL reality TV show. Enjoy.
Good episode today. I touch on Pitbull coming to Detroit this past weekend and putting asses in seats, never knew the guy had it in him but I'll never make that mistake again. Second half we get into the new Spiderman trailer and all the craze around Marvel and everything they do, despite every movie being the same. Enjoy.
Starting the week off with a weird one, here we go. I recap the weekend a bit and the absolute demolition I suffered at the hands of yet another hangover. Then I get into the history of marshmallows and how some sick bastard thought the world needed them.
Not too long ago I saw a person I follow on Instagram send out a bat signal saying, "venmo ______ to buy the bride a drink on her bachelorette party". And I couldn't help but think why anyone would ever take them up on that. Well, today I sat down and talked it own and confirmed my suspicion to find at least 4 reason that nobody in their right mind WOULD ever take them up on that. What a world we live in. Enjoy.
A day and sin all too familiar in my life. Enjoy --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Back to the Friday roots today with some random ass topics. Dropped my sisters off at a bar, Coyote Joes, last night and was astonished how shitty their car infrastructure was. Shoutout to places with adequate parking. Then I apply the heat to one of the most world renowned brands, McDonalds, and their charade they've kept for years now. The charade that they actually sell ice cream, they haven't had an operating ice cream machine in years and it's horse shit. Enjoy --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
It is consuming my brain. I know I wrote about it, but that simply wasn't enough, I need to talk about it. I can't shut the fuck up, sorry Bo. Hope you guys enjoy. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Elon Musk's next big trick is to send a satellite with advertisements into space, we are fucked! Yea, sure, half of earth is on fire, but let's make sure big corporations can make a few extra bucks off ad revenue. I hate this place, enjoy. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Just throw a boxing event and then don't pay anyone. Easiest cash of all time. Austin McBroom is getting sued by the likes of James Harden and others for his Pepe Silvia boxing event and I find it hilarious and also dumbfounding. He just thought nobody was gonna care about not getting paid???? I get into it and try to make any explanation of it. Enjoy
I play a lot of pickup. I play with a lot of people that make me never want to play pickup again. I tell you about them. Enjoy --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
I literally can't do it. Unless there is something that I HAVE to do, I physically cannot wake up early. How the fuck do people like The Rock "love" doing it. Someone help. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Pretty much what the title says. I enjoyed this movie, I guess movies shot in right angles are my thing. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Well, it's a classic Tuesday episode today. I talk about a couple random things that fire me up inside but might be labeled as, "unimportant" or "weird" by society. I spend the first half today talking about The Beautiful Game. Not soccer, but beer die. In the second half I even blow my mind as I flip the narrative on people who just had surgery. It's not that bad. Enjoy --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
We've been being lied to our entire lives. You know that beverage that's been starting your day since you were a newborn? That viscous, curdy, kind of weird smelling white liquid? Yea I'm talking about milk. Well, it's horseshit and today I dive into the Milkspiracy. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
First half today I couldn't help but talk about Giannis. Not so much the game itself, but the fact that he seems like we'd be best friends, him staying in Milwaukee to win, and him accomplishing what he said he would. Absolute badass. In the second half we hit more of a comedic tone where I get into a thought about all advice being useless. Saw a friend say she was writing a speech and asked for advice, got me thinking how many people give absolutely pointless advice like, "speak from the heart". Is all advice useless? --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
A quick little pod coming off the weekend. Get into bad guys in movies taking their masks off too soon, DJs playing bad music, and the app that will change the world. Enjoy. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
