Brett recently completed his first marathon ruck (carrying weight) and did it in a very unique way, and for a very unique reason. Going through tough times can cause us to do some crazy things. For Brett, he decided to turn his focus to completing his very first marathon with less than 7 weeks of training. He also shares how and why he decided to up the difficulty and challenge for himself. Use this mentality when your routine changes, you travel, and especially during the holidays. Action Step: Start small and create some simple daily self-care standards for yourself. Define what a “No Zero Day” looks like for yourself. In today's episode we dive into the difference between Outcome Goals and Effort Goals. We share examples of each as well as the benefits of who would benefit from each. For those just starting out with goals, we also share which is the best place for you to start. Goals are important, and figuring out which type of goals you need are crucial to your success. Action Step: Look over your goals and decide if they are Outcome or Effort based goals. Ask yourself if that type of goal is keeping your motivated, consistent and making progress.
