Sometimes, finding your passion does not always follow a linear path. Dr. Daniel Diaz knows this from experience firsthand. Before pursuing medicine, he thought he might become a mechanical engineer or a physical therapist. However, in this episode we learn that not succeeding is not the same thing as failing. With a lifelong interest in sports and a commitment to his community, Dr. Diaz eventually found his true calling in sports medicine. His passion and enthusiasm for this specialty is evident as he paves the road for an increase in sports medicine integration at federally qualified health centers. Through his leadership, AltaMed now has a new ACGME-accredited fellowship that will build a pipeline training more sports medicine physicians committed to helping underserved patients. If you are interested in learning more about AltaMed's new Sports Medicine Fellowship, email us at smfellowship@altamed.org. Click here to view this episode's transcript.

Paint Your Own Sky EP Умопомрачительный релиз Сашиного лейбла Last Night On Earth в виде трека Winder от американского вундеркинда Durante. If you can’t figure out how to step up to the next level, this is the episode for you! Daniel Diaz and Ian Lobas discuss how to go from who are now and where you are now to where you want to be. This conversation provides a roadmap to help you live with purpose and on purpose and have the life you want with no regrets. Dad, husband and founder of Peak Life Now, Daniel Diaz is a performance life coach, speaker, motivator and life-liver. His mission is to help people live a limitless life, so that life is working for them, not happening to them. He shares his story of coming from a loving home with amazing parents who instilled in him the belief that he could do anything yet he was still super-insecure. He masked that insecurity by putting on a very secure front but it still pulled him into a darker direction in life...until he got arrested. His journey into legit entrepreneurship started with the mindset that if he hustled hard enough, he would eventually be happy. However, like many others, he realized that this lifestyle wasn’t sustainable. Daniel and Ian paint a crystal clear picture of the emotional and mental turmoil that results from being out of alignment in contrast with the creativity and possibilities you can unlock when you create the mindset of the person you need to become and you tap into the power of choice. When you’re done listening, be sure to check out our other amazing shows that delve into creating the right mindset including Construct Your Triangle of Growth and Limitless Possibilities. 38:05 - Courage will drastically impact the level of confidence you have 10:15 - The warning signs that you lack sustainability 39:05 - Appreciation vs expectation 41:28 - Stepping up to interrupt the pattern of energy sucks 44:30 - How to create a space where you can consider “What else can I do?” 46:19 - The value of using the word “yet” regularly when you communicate with yourself 46:58 - Why we need to eliminate the words “but” and “understand” 1:12:54 - Being abundantly curious about what’s possible References and Links Mentioned: Daniel Diaz on Instagram Daniel Diaz on Facebook Want to reach out to us? Have you ever been addicted to something--alcohol, drugs, food, sex, validation? To addicts, it can feel like the substance they're addicted to is no big deal. Like they don't have an issue. Like it's just some harmless habit that they can kick at any time they want to... they just don't want to. Usually, if not always, addiction is the sign of a much, much deeper wound and more than just a harmless habit. Sometimes addiction is a way to cope with a life that doesn't fulfill you, a life that doesn't make you happy, a way to cope with that person staring back at you in the mirror that you don't even recognize anymore, a person that disgusts you just to look at. But, addiction doesn't have to define who you are, you don't have to be just an "addict" for the rest of your life. It is something you can overcome, something you can beat, but it's going to take a lot of hard work, a lot of pain and a lot of self awareness and self reflection. Join me for this deep, vulnerable, tearful conversation with Daniel Diaz, a man who knows firsthand what it feels like to be in the death grip of addiction, overcome it, relapse, and finally beat it once and for all. Daniel is a life and business coach who was once trapped in a long, vicious cycle of addictions, bad habits, poor relationships, and toxic environments. He was living a busy, painful, lonely, empty life. Then he found personal development and began to transform his life and business. Seven years later he took a massive leap when he left his company to pursue his passion of helping others live their Peak Life Now. Daniel is now a speaker, a life mastery coach, and the CEO of Peak Life Now, a mission driven company delivering entrepreneurs and team leaders to their highest level of performance through a heart-centered transformation of mindset and habits. Don't miss this conversation as Daniel shares his inspirational story of how he overcame his personal demons to believe in and love himself like no other.

Already big fans of the original game expectations were unquestionably high for the follow up as the focus this time is shifted to Sean and Daniel Diaz. Two brothers forced to go on the run when Daniel's awakening powers reveal themselves, putting the pair on a journey from Seattle to Mexcio before the authorities catch up with them. But with the original game already setting such a high bar and the decision to focus on two new characters could it really compare? This is just one of the questions as we find out for ourselves playing through the whole saga.

Welcome Daniel, the founder of ‘Faces Of DACA’ to this week’s Immigration MIC episode! In this episode you’ll hear: His experience immigrating from Mexico due to the increasing violence, and moving to California in 2004. How he learned about his immigration status: the story of how he could’t go with his class to Japan. How pre-DACA, Daniel felt the weight of hopelessness, but kept pushing himself until DACA became a reality. As a software engineer, the reasons why he finds joy in being a creative, and using that talent to help others, starting his career at Uber Eats. His reaction to the 2016 election, and the “tipping point” he experiences that led to the creation of Faces Of DACA, and getting candid about why he hadn’t going the fight beforehand. His work over the past months collecting stories from other DACA recipients, building connections and gathering stories, and how his team’s outreach is growing across the nation. His goal of returning in the future to his software engineer work, and how he eventually would like to become an educator. Daniel says he finds inspiration in the phrase “Si, Se Puede”, in the worst days to keep his work going. Happy to say Immigration MIC is now an affiliate of Faces Of DACA as we both continue bringing people into the conversation to have an impact on the national conversation!
