Last Sunday, 19-year-old Kimi Antonelli won the Monaco Grand Prix — one of the most prestigious and unforgiving races in Formula One history. And nothing about what he showed had anything to do with speed. He stepped into Formula One at 18 with a quiet, almost unreasonable belief that he belonged — not arrogance, just certainty. Are we building that in our kids? Ten laps to go, comfortable lead, red flag. Two hours of racing reset in an instant. Lewis Hamilton right behind him. Kimi came out composed, led, and won. Monaco doesn't reward panic. It rewards whoever is most at peace with the pressure. That's not talent — that's something that gets built. And the part that reframes everything: sometimes the advantage isn't experience. Sometimes it's the absence of the fear that experience brings. Three things to carry into this week: Believe early — the quiet certainty that they belong, even surrounded by more experience. Teach them to sit in the reset. The red flag will come. What matters is the ten minutes after. Don't underestimate the young. Not knowing what can go wrong can be exactly the edge. It isn't the car. It's the mind. That's ParentShift. Have you ever felt like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? You're showing up for your family, your business, your team, and your community—but deep down, you're running on empty. Maybe you're exhausted. Maybe you're burned out. Maybe you're questioning how much longer you can keep going. My friends, if that's you today, I want you to know something: you're not alone. In this episode, I'm sharing some of the biggest lessons I've learned from walking through one of the hardest seasons of my own life. A season that tested me physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. A season that ultimately strengthened my faith and taught me what true mental toughness is really all about. Because mental toughness isn't about pretending you're okay. It's not about grinding harder or carrying every burden by yourself. It's about staying faithful when life gets hard. Replenishing your body, mind, and spirit when you're running on empty. And it's about trusting that God is preparing you for something greater—even when you can't see it yet. Here's what we'll dive into on this week's IMPACT SHOW podcast: Why strong people burn out too The hidden cost of carrying too much for too long What mental toughness really means when you're in the middle of a storm How faith fuels resilience when motivation disappears Why prayer, scripture, worship, and community matter more than ever during difficult seasons The importance of replenishing your energy, your spirit, and your soul Why you can't pour from an empty cup How to perform a personal life-energy audit The connection between recovery and high performance Why your greatest impact may come after your hardest season A simple 7-Day Recharge Challenge to help you get your mind, body, and spirit back on track A powerful closing prayer to remind us that it's our Faith that feeds your mental toughness One of the questions I ask throughout this episode is this: What burden are you carrying today that was never meant for you to carry alone? Think about that. Because so many of us are trying to be everything for everyone. We're trying to hold it all together. We're trying to fight battles with our own strength. And sometimes the strongest thing we can do is surrender. Sometimes the breakthrough isn't found in doing more. Sometimes it's found in reconnecting to the Source of our strength. My hope is that this episode fills your cup. That it restores some hope. That it reminds you that whatever storm you're facing today is only a season. And that your setback can become your setup. Your pain can become your purpose. And your struggle can become your greatest testimony. Keep the faith. Keep serving. Keep showing up. And remember...the best is yet to come. Darren Norris is back on the Warrior Mindset Podcast. Since last time, he almost died from an undiagnosed cardiac condition because he tried to push through it. That story sets the tone for an hour-long conversation about what real toughness looks like, where the tough-guy mindset serves you, and where it nearly kills you. Darren's resume spans SWAT operations, personal protection for Keanu Reeves' band Dog Star, a doctorate in strategic leadership, and EMT certification. The conversation covers ego in law enforcement and the film industry, whether training culture has gotten softer, the young EMT who reminded Darren this generation has pipe hitters, the time his parachute ripped at 800 feet, and the stories both men carry about the moments they wanted to quit and didn't. If you caught the first episode with Darren, this one goes deeper. Two guys with decades of skin in the game talking about what actually matters.Send us Fan Mail

Send us Fan MailAre you actually resting, or are you just escaping? In this solo episode of The Mindset Cafe Podcast, Devan Gonzalez breaks down the difference between real rest and avoidance disguised as self-care. Taking a break, sleeping in, skipping the gym, watching Netflix, scrolling your phone, or stepping away from work can all look like rest on the outside — but the real question is what happens after.Real rest helps you recover, think clearly, regulate your emotions, and return to your standards. Escape gives you short-term relief but creates long-term pressure, guilt, anxiety, and more distance from the life you know you need to face. This episode will help you identify whether your “break” is actually helping you come back stronger or quietly lowering your standard. Devan breaks down real-life examples in fitness, business, mindset, relationships, and personal discipline so you can stop running from what needs to be handled and start building planned recovery with purpose. You'll learn how to tell the difference between rest and escape, why self-care can become a trap when it removes accountability, how avoidance shows up in fitness and entrepreneurship, and the simple test to know whether your break is restoring you or pulling you further off track. If you've been feeling burned out, unmotivated, behind, anxious, guilty, or disconnected, this episode will challenge you to be honest without attacking yourself.
