What do you think of when someone says Final Destination to you? Is it interesting & satisfying plot? Is it well written & memorable characters? Or is it the smart way all the films are intricately linked? Or could it be the many convoluted death scenes and/or the big premonition sequences? The 2000 franchise-starter was known for its gory shocks but it remains fascinating for its overwhelmingly downbeat message: death is coming for us all. Wes Craven's Scream (1996) re-invented the Horror Genre by breaking every horror movie rule before it. Its characters often reference real well-known scary movies and actors, and meanwhile they slowly realize they themselves are in their own slasher movie. Among the best elements of “Scream” is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a dark comedy, rife with humor and fantastic irony, garnering just as many laughs as it does screams. Despite all the jumpscares, the violent twist ending and the intense blood and gore on screen, it still manages to be comedic — and that's what keeps people watching it again and again. It's a favorite for many because you go in expecting terror, but you're always pleasantly surprised by the level of wit that Wes Craven weaves into the movie. It brilliantly revitalized the dying horror genre in the 90's and set a new bar for scary movies to come. Halloween II is a 2009 American slasher film written, directed, and produced by Rob Zombie. The film is a sequel to Zombie's 2007 remake of 1978's Halloween and the tenth installment in the Halloween franchise. Watch our previous review here: https://youtu.be/3xB3bnNFfPE Writer/director Rob Zombie's 2007 remake of John Carpenter's 1978 classic Halloween was a divisive and controversial film – but the follow-up that Zombie brought the world in 2009 may be even more divisive and controversial than the remake. For Halloween II, Zombie decided to focus more on the connection between Strode and Myers, and the idea that they share similar psychological problems. Zombie wanted the sequel to be more realistic and violent than its 2007 predecessor. He wanted to portray how the events of the first film affected the characters. Zombie also wanted to provide a glimpse into each character's psyche. #Halloween #Halloween2009 #RobZombieHalloween #thenightwatchzone #halloweenfranchise
