#707 Want a business that turns fresh asphalt into a “blank canvas” — and pays well for satisfying, repeatable work? In this episode, host Kirsten Tyrrel talks with Cinco Winston, founder of Trueline Striping in Central Texas, about how he left a stable construction career, skipped the franchise route, and bootstrapped his own parking lot striping company to cash flow within two months. He shares how he trained with an out-of-state pro, bought only the essentials to get started, and strategically targeted customers who actually value curb appeal and recurring maintenance. Cinco breaks down startup costs, pricing, profit margins, seasonality, and why he's still running lean while planning for future growth. If you've ever wondered how “unsexy” service businesses quietly generate great income and freedom, this conversation will open your eyes! What we discuss with Cinco: + Leaving construction to start striping + Choosing independent over franchise + Training with an out-of-state striping company + Bootstrapping equipment and startup costs + Hitting cash flow within two months + Discounting early jobs to gain clients + Targeting customers who value curb appeal + Door knocking and in-person sales + Managing seasonality and recurring clients + Profit margins, salary, and plans to scale Thank you, Cinco! Romans 5:1-5; Philippians 4:6-7 Advent is a time of preparation marked by the beginning of the Christian liturgical year for millennia. It's important to remember the meekness and beauty of Jesus' first coming to earth, while also preparing our hearts for his second coming as the Mighty King and Victor! The purest hope we can have is that God will accept us into his heaven; the deepest peace comes when we abandon anxiety and accept God's care!

20 mins after having the most satisfying bowl of brown rice quinoa pasta with some beef & broccoli for lunch, I wanted something sweet .But it wasn't just anything sweet. It was something very SPECIFIC. Aka a rice cake with with almond butter, melted dark chocolate & chopped up apple with a slice of sourdough bread with the same toppings I KNEW it was a craving because it was extremely specific.I don't have urges anymore but those are when you FEEL impulsive and you can't really pin point what you specifically want to eat because you're not really craving food, you're craving the feeling that food gives you. I didn't spend time overthinking if I should have this snack or not, I just did.I didn't think to myself gosh you just ate lunch 20 mins ago you shouldn't be hungry or need more food, I trusted.I didn't overthink okay well you just had carbs for lunch, maybe you should have something else higher in protein, I ate EXACTLY what I was craving.I didn't think ahh that's too much chocolate, I added however much I wanted & it was so damn good.I didn't look in my fridge & see all the delicious whole foods that were freshly cooked yesterday & shame myself for wanting something else. You don't need to be hungry to enjoy something sweet AND… you can eat whatever you're craving without losing control or feeling bad about it.20 mins after a meal you want something sweet? Great. There's nothing wrong with that except for the fact that you judge yourself and try to push it off. When you leave your meals feeling comfortably full and satisfied, enjoying something sweet doesn't push you off the edge and send you into a session of overeating. You're satisfied which means you can move on with your day without thinking about the chocolate you were craving & end up overdoing it later on.I trust my body, I listen to it, I honour it.My meals are satisfying AND I love something sweet. My snacks are exactly what I'm craving AND I thoroughly enjoy it all. I eliminated my urges because I got really good at NOT giving into my urges & only honouring my cravings when they pop up. Cravings are normal & healthy! It's a beautiful sign from you body. Trust it, listen to it, honour it and you'll leave your meals comfortably full & satisfied not stuffedInside this episode, I share how honouring your cravings gets to be super simple!ROOT & REWIRE MEMBERSHIPCONNECT WITH LORNA:---> Instagram @lorna_bingeeatingcoach---> Tiktok @lorna_bingeeatingcoach

What if the miracle you think you missed is already orbiting your life, waiting for you to notice it?In this tender and truth-telling episode of Fire and Soul, I sit down with Elizabeth Webb, author of Made for Magic: A Practical Guide from Survival Mode to Soul-Satisfying Joy. Elizabeth is a renowned coach, speaker, and spiritual teacher whose story reminds us that even our deepest heartbreaks can become portals to profound awakening. We talk about the love that shattered her heart open, the book that was born from her healing, and the journey of learning to access magic again after loss. We also explore the initiatory experience of moving to Austin, the messy middle of personal transformation, and what it means to find beauty, humility, and purpose through life's breakdowns. Our conversation flows into the difference between intuition and trauma responses, how to reclaim your sense of safety and sovereignty, and why most of us are not broken but simply waiting to remember who we are. Elizabeth's wisdom is raw, refreshing, and rooted in lived experience — this is one of those conversations that will move through your body as much as your mind.If you've ever felt late, lost, or afraid that your best days are behind you, this one will remind you that your miracle is right on time.In This Episode, You'll Discover:• How Elizabeth transformed heartbreak into healing and creative purpose• The origin story of Made for Magic and what it means to live from soul-satisfying joy• The difference between intuition and trauma responses — and how to tell the two apart• How to build safety and self-trust when life doesn't go as planned• The courage it takes to meet discomfort instead of bypassing it• How to shift from self-blame into radical self-responsibility and freedom• Why feeling misunderstood can actually be your spiritual initiation• The power of finding miracles in the mundane and beauty in the in-between“Healing doesn't always mean fixing what's broken. Sometimes it means finding the magic that was never lost.”Resources Mentioned:Order Made for Magic: A Practical Guide from Survival Mode to Soul-Satisfying Joy at madeformagicbook.com and download the first chapter for freeSubscribe to Elizabeth's Love Beams — her luminous letters on joy, intuition, and living awakeConnect with Michelle on Instagram @michelle.sorro Hosted on Acast. Football Americans! We've so much to get to this episode: Lamar v Allen! The long kicks! Jalen Carter's spit! The sad, sad Dolphins. And we've got the right father and son duo to tell you all about it with Greg and Chris Cote from the Dan LeBatard show. Plus, we've bring in Geoff Schwartz to explain why he fell asleep and missed what could be the best game of the season. The Super Fuentes Brothers provide knee jerk reactions to Week One from Miami, and Newsman Bradley presents Aaron Rodgers unfiltered from New York. Hyperbolic, sure. Satisfying? Of course. Football is back, America, and here to cover it is Football America! **That said. Before you hit play we gotta protect our guy, Pittsburgh Hero Ryan Clark. A lot of people out there chose to get up on Mount Pious about Clark saying Tom Brady and Drew Brees weren't generational talents. They aren't. Neither guy was a measurable physical freak. Y'see the NFL's got two basic types of QBs. 1. Specimens like Josh Allen, Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, even Jeff George. These guys can evolve into gunslingers like John Elway, Brett Favre and Ben Roethlisberger and take you to the top of Mount Lombardi. 2. Assassins like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Joe Montana. They've been marginalized with the name ‘game manager' but they're calculated and lethally accurate. Big game trophy hunters. That's why I call 'em ASSASSINS. In superhero terms, it's like Superman v Batman. You'd of course like the measurables of the son of Jor-el over Bruce Wayne, but that doesn't mean Batman can't win thanks to being more clever. So, descend Mount Pious and just admit Brady and Brees are the Keaton and Bale Batmans (batmen?) of the NFL. And be good with it. As for serial killers, well... Mike Tomlin can go ahead explain that one. We're stumped. Now, start the show! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
