Are you going through rough times? You may call it a storm upon your life. Storms can cause a ton of damage! They rip through and tear communities, sometimes not leaving much left behind. Sometimes the things we go through in life can be categorized as a storm. Some things appear in our life and do a lot of damage. In this lesson that I preached while visiting a congregation in Washington, WV, I spoke about the storm that the disciples encountered on the Sea of Galilee, and how Jesus appeared to them in the midst of it. I show the example that we can take from this text. Jesus is there for us in our storms as he was there for the disciples. Are we willing to take the step of faith to put our trust in Jesus even during the storms of life? I encourage you to also support the podcast by viewing the Youtube channel. There are some things on there that do not cross over to these platforms so don't miss out!

Original Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IwVoMRoYRsI am a fan of Jordan Peterson, and I have enjoyed the round table talk study that DailyWire+ has produced on the book of Exodus, but this topic struck me as very odd! Does the Old Testament teach nothing in regards to lust? Some on the table would disagree, and certainly I would. Enjoy this reaction and discussion of this interesting topic. As always, keep drinking that good spiritual coffee!

You may find your Christian friends to be following the trends. Perhaps, you yourself are afraid to speak up about the truth regarding these issues. In a culture that tells us to stay silent about our convictions, what is the appropriate response? We should never hide in a corner! Jesus teaches us that we are lights of the world (Matthew 5). We need to approach these groups in our day to day lives with love, grace, and firm truth. In this episode, we discuss what to do, and what not to do, when approaching this subject as a Christian. Throughout the show, we establish both a common sense method to interpreting the text and an historical analysis of women's roles in the first century. We hope you enjoy this discussion.
