I had a great conversation with 'Leah Shutkever' - The PRO Eater, x10 Official Guinness World Record holder, 1# Female competitive eater, As seen on channel 4 TV show 'Battle of the Super eaters' Leah born and raised in Birmingham, Growing up in a family household full of food lovers her future was written in the stars. She was self-conscious about her weight and appearance from the age of 10. Leah fluctuated with her weight from being overweight to skinny to muscular until she found her true balance with competitive eating. She talks about how having a balanced diet and fasting before consuming 1000's of calories in one sitting, she still able to maintain an amazing physique. I had a real eye opening conversation with 'kyle Parchment' - personal vegan chef, owner of Jam N Vegan (Caribbean vegan food), fitness enthusiast and men's physique bodybuilding competitor. Kyle born and raised in Birmingham, He talks about his first experiences in the gym as a teenager and how he ended up competing in a bodybuilding competition pretty much out of the blue. We also discussed how travelling the world with his partner opened up his eye's to exploring vegan cuisines, which later lead him to becoming a personal vegan chef for celebrities along with launching his own vegan food with a Caribbean influence on instagram. I had a great conversation with 'Carly Thornton' who is a IFFB bodybuilding pro, fitness model, Prep coach/online mentor, motivational speaker and the owner of Gluteywear, which is a fitness clothing brand that is aimed to empower women worldwide. Carly is an established figure in the fitness industry, as she paved the way for women in UK bodybuilding by winning the Arnold Classic Europe and also becoming the first female in the UK to place 1st in the women's physique category. However, her great achievement's did not come without struggle. We discuss her personal growth and change of mindset from her early 20's, when she was overweight and suffered from low self-esteem which effected her both mentally and physically.
